Magic Robin Hood

Quick general intro and overall review. We came here through Jet-2 for 4 nights. Myself , partner and 11 yr old daughter. Generally this is an ok place, especially for little kids say ages 4-10. We didn’t pay much and therefore we were not expecting the usual bells and whistles, so value for money is say it was decent. The food and accommodation were both adequate, nothing special, but fine. I will elaborate more below. Let’s start with the positives. If you are a family with young kids, this is perfect. There is so much for them to do, from zip wire, laser quest, dancing round the pool area, water slides, decent pools, and it feels like if you get yourself involved, there is always things to do. (Despite some reviews I’ve seen saying otherwise) Next positive is that the entertainment at night was actually above par. We only stayed out late one night, but the entertainment was very high quality, a show which was superhero villains doing dance, magic and gymnastics - I can’t fault this at all, and was way better than some I’ve seen even in high quality hotels. My only complaint is that adult entertainment starts at 10pm, far too late. Should be mini disco at say 8:30, then adult at 9pm. One other positive is food availability, pretty much available all day (I will go onto quality below) they have trucks giving out variety of food if you don’t fancy restaurant - again great for kids who just want to grab and go. Bfast is especially good. Plenty of food. Drinks are also decent, no complaints really. We were all inclusive (not AI + which I will get to) we are not big drinkers, but enjoy one or 2, and they provided decent level of soft drinks and alcoholic (eg I like morgan spiced which they served which is unknown of in some foreign hotels I’ve stayed) Rooms were OK, they were spacious and beds were comfortable on the whole. TVs were ok and provided about 5 English channels, not that we watch tv abroad. We had power cut first night for an hour or so, ok eat if time. You get fridge and sink etc. Pool area was actually decent. The sun beds need upgrading , but overall the area was nice. Lots of palm trees and they have put effort into outdoor areas. Now onto the negatives or more accurately, how they could tweak this place to make it go from 3/5 rating (by my standards) to 4 or even 5. (Keeping in mind that we did not pay a fortune for this so , the below is improvements which may also warrant a higher accommodation price) The word I keep saying to my partner was this place needs a lot more quality control in all areas. The reason being is that it has so much potential to be great, but just lacks the finesse of some higher level hotels I’ve stayed… and what I’m going to suggest hopefully is not that much capital outlay to implement. Firstly they need to sack off this all inclusive + thing. For me it’s just an unnecessary add on that causes resentment amongst guests.
