This is a great hotel for young children, loads of stuff to do. It is very difficult to find your way around the hotel, the layout is very strange. Plenty of lifts though but choosing the right one for the location was the task.
Food was nice and always plenty of options.
Pool bar didnt open until 11am so you couldn't get a soft drink until then which was annoying.
But it was clean, tidy, staff were nice and kids club/water park was great to keep the kids entertained. Pool is just very cold as the sun doesnt get to it. Sun is off the sunbeds for approx. 1 hour a day whilst it moved around the hotel building in front.
Entertainment was good, always something on for the kids then then adults.
Spa treatments are very nice.
Make sure you have the energy for the hill climb to the hotel when you go out anywhere. No balconys so was difficult to dry a familys clothes for the next day etc. But the hotel has great decor and is well priced.

Customer service not responding to my emails, which I find terribly rude. We spent 5 lovely days at the magic rock with no complaints. Food, drinks and hotel in general was lovely, staff were very happy and polite. My daughter unfortunately left behind an Apple earpod in our room 110. I’m guessing as the room had been cleaned it would be in lost property and I’ve tracked it and it’s still stating it’s in the hotel. However, I’ve emailed the hotel twice and no response, I called the hotel and they couldn’t understand what I was talking about so I emailed again…..still no response. I’m hoping someone sees this email and responds as we had a lovely holiday.

Third year we've stayed at the Magic Rock.
The first year being able to use the roof top and bar was great.
Finding out last year that the bar was not opening was a major disappointment.
The fiesta week we have always stayed. This year a group of 8 of us. Sadly again no roof top bar. We found out half way through the week that we were able to use Star bar at the beach front. This was by chance of another holiday maker had read this information on trip advisor. The hotel arent giving this information..
One member of staff at the bar serving causing queues .But suddenly the arrival of the Spanish holiday makers and there are at least 5 staff on hand.
This morning our last day 16th Nov, we were unable to gain entrance into the Breakfast. The queues of Spanish holiday makers were far to long. Second day this happened.
There was music party and popcorn being given out in reception. As British holiday makers it really made our last two days difficult to enjoy and felt we were unable to enjoy the facilities.
This along with not being able to use the roof and access the bar up there. We have decided that making it a 4th year wont be an option..

Stayed at the Magic Aqua Rock Gardens hotel in Benidorm this last week. The first thing to note is that a transfer coach won't drop you off or pick you up from the hotel due to the tightness of the access road. The drop off point is about 300 yards away and if you're not fully mobile it's a tricky, relatively steep ascent to the hotel. Had I known this at booking I may have invested in a private taxi transfer. Once you're in the hotel there's lifts everywhere so not so bad...as long as you can work out which lift takes you where. We met many people in lifts and nearly all of us still couldn't work out which lift to get in to get to different amenities...even after 5 days I was still getting out and then finding I needed to walk down/up stairs or get back in the lift and try again. Got quite funny in the end. The positives for this hotel are that the food is actually quite good for mass catering. I think most people are on all-inclusive as we were and there were plenty of options in the main restaurant and a daytime snack bar serving burgers and chips and salads. During our visit one of the restaurants was closed...but it is November. Sometimes I found the food wasn't as hot as it could be but microwaves were on hand if you wished to heat it up a bit. The staff throughout the hotel were all friendly and polite and plentiful meaning your plates were cleared very quickly and the wait at the bar was never that long. The catering staff were regularly refreshing salads, cakes etc...so nothing was left out too long. Bedroom was fine although the bathroom was quite tired with missing grout from tiles and a couple of chips in the toilet. Housekeeping starts quite early so unless you want disturbing at 8am you better leave your do not disturb sign out. The amenities - bar - well stocked and serving a couple of lagers and all manner of spirits and wine. Entertainment - non existent for adults whilst we were there. There appeared to be some mini-club activity going on but our children are long past that so your pool is your friend in this respect. The pool area. Lots of sun beds but all arranged in 3 ranks - straight lines - but quite cramped together. It has several water slides which seemed to be in use intermittently. They are old and the lack of use by those adventurous enough perhaps suggests they aren't the best. The BIGGEST downside of the place is that it is surrounded by other high rise buildings which means catching the rays meant a game of chase the sun...so if you want all day sun you'd need to use 3 different sun beds...along with everyone else. Of course, in the summer this may not be such an issue. All in all, we enjoyed our time here in Benidorm but with the combination of the climb to the hotel, lack of hotel entertainment and sun chasing shennanigans means we wouldn't return to this particular place.

We usually holiday at large 5* Hotels in Turkey so it would be unfair to compare So this is my honest opinion We booked for a 4 night stay to surprise friends staying at the Magic Rock Like any hotels you visit for the first time the configuration can be a little confusing until you get your bearings Room - Superior : Our room was pool facing and was really clean with 2 doubles beds pushed together : There was a un-stocked fridge in the room : Good selection of English TV channels Main Restaurant - Breakfast and Dinner : I am coeliac (gluten free) so took my own ready meals to warm up in the microwave : Despite me not eating the hotel food I observed the waiting staff clearing up and the replacement of food stations : Impressed with the self serve larger / wine / soft drinks / ice creams Roof top Adults only terrace (floor 12) : Great to get away from the main pool We did not use any of the other facilities Hotel Negatives : No evening out door seating area Cardiac hill Hotel Positives : Branded drinks Strongbow on draft Use of beach bar as part of AI

Would never return to this hotel. The hotel is like a maze, the pool area is so unwelcoming most of the day it’s in shade. The food is not the best and that’s putting it politely. Lifts are labelled different areas and when you follow the signs it takes you to other areas directs around the hotel are very unclear. It’s dark, dingy and looks like something from the 1950s.

We went for my hen do... but we're definitely not a hen do. Great selection of drinks. Food was nice. View from rooftop bar were incredible. Could always get sun loungers together. Watersides were fun and lifeguards very attentive. Really nice beach bar you can use with all inclusive. This hotel is very like Hogwarts, we got lost on multiple occasions but it added to fun! Lost cup on multiple occasions but reception staff helped (when I could find it). Spa was lovely did the hot and cold experience. Rooms were comfortable and good size, air-conditioning worked well. Bath with shower over bath. Entertainment was great. Not a far walk from main ***** or the beach. Walk up hill is steep. Would stay here again!

Stayed here for a week with my partner and daughter and we absolutely loved it! The rooms were clean and comfortable (no balcony, but that’s only a small downside). The whole hotel was spotless and the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Food was decent — got a little repetitive after a few days, but still good quality for an all-inclusive. The drinks were brilliant though — proper strength beers and branded spirits like Jim Beam, Smirnoff, and even real Baileys!

There’s plenty to do around the hotel, and the evening entertainment was great every night. We had such a good time that we’re already planning to come back next year!

I came In august with my 3 children, we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was okay, the facilities were kept clean and the room was great. However, on our final day someone let themselves into the room and took around 400 euros from my purse. I’ve reported it to the hotel only to be ignored! I have since seen other posts about the same thing happening to them. Avoid taking cash with you or leaving valuables in the room as there is a thief within the staff of this hotel
