What an amazing little hidden gem.
'Gregory' on arrival was so welcoming, really friendly. Rooms are basic but ample for what you need. Prices are very reasonable, 2L of beer, 2 packets of crisps = €9.50! We will 100% come back here.

They are the best family run business hotel I've ever experienced so far. So loving, kind, and very welcoming family. I would definitely come back again. They have a clean room and good service with the best location as well!

An absolutely wonderful hotel if you you’re itching to have easy access to the beach, but not break the bank. The breakfast is excellent and worth the extra cost. Also, the staff treated us very kindly, just like family :) While the hotel has mostly older folks and families, it was still a very charming stay.

Family run business, super friendly & attentive. Rooms are tired and no aircon. Location is great and quiet, small pool perfect for kids. Perfect for a weekend when it's not too hot.
Food is ok.
Overall good value for money, as it is cheap and they make you feel at home.

Great location in the quieter part of town within 10 minutes walk of the beach and the beginnings of the town's restaurants and shops. 

The name initially put us off but it is a traditional hotel, with each room having it's own bathroom. Bathrooms have toilet, wash basin, small bath and powerful shower. They also come with two bath towels, two hand towels and a mat - all changed daily.

The hotel is spotless and cleaned constantly.

The rooms are small but just right with double or two twin beds. The hotel has 36 rooms on 6 floors with 12 having balconies. All rooms have a multi-channel tv. Most channels are in Spanish however several can have the dialogue changed to English.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire hotel for free.

Bed and breakfast works out at about an extra 2 euros a day per person (based on our price paid at booking) and is a continental style buffet of breads, pastries, cold meat, cheese, and a selection of eggs, as well as cereals, yogurts and jams.

The hotel offers buffet dinner for 9 euros, or from the bar a range of meals including steak and chips, paella, pizza and much more all exceptional low priced and very tasty.

The staff are amazing, very helpful and welcoming and in particular is Greg/Goyo who is often working the bar, cooking meals for the cafe and serving at reception. He is a real character and an asset to the hotel. We will be back just because of him!

The hotel has a small but perfectly sized pool, lush flowered gardens, plenty of sun loungers, outdoor seating and a solarium.

The Hostal Magnolia itself is six storied building with a tiny outdoor pool and bar/cafe with a terrace on the ground floor and a charming green garden with a fountain with huge golden fishes in it.
Although it has elevator full of surprises but very convenient when you know how to use it. Rooms are small, but comfortable, every day cleaned, comfy shower.
Buffet-style restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Every day our family had a chance to try something new. Even if you are a bit late for a dinner don’t worry you’ll get it.
The staff are excellent and friendly and always ready to answer all questions we have. They always has a time for you, to talk about
politics, to inquiry how is yours vacation going on, to answer questions about surroundings, to buy you tickets, etc.
It is located very convenient: 4-minute walk just down the hill is main beach one of the most popular Costa Brava beaches with beautiful medieval castle ashore and sunny blue sea. Near it 2-minute walk up the street is a cheap supermarket and bus stop.
