Hotel Don Juan Tossa

We came from Barcelona for a mini break and were so happy. The room was amazing! I was slighly worried when I saw we were on the first floor with a bar close-by but we heard NOTHING. The balcony was super and it was amazing to see the world walk by. Hardly any cars on the road and no noises from the bar. The room was spacious and all was super clean. The food was super too. A good variation and lots fresh fish and meats next to vegetarian dishes. They really made a fantastic buffet for al to enjoy with daily variations. Lots of fruit/cake/sweets/ creams for dessert if you have any space left. Breakfast was the same with pretty much all nationalities choices of breakfast available. The staff were all lovely. From the girls on the room floor to the reception and from the chefs to the people helping in the dining room. Mercedes (meercellig) was always cheery and wishing us good morning/ evening what makes such a difference. If het Teamleader reads this then I think you should reward her employee of the month with a extra paid day of or something.
TIP: bring a beach/pool towel or sheet as they don’t provide these.

Don Juan hotel was an amazing place to stay. Close to beach, restaurants and shops. The rooms are modern, clean and really comfortable for our stay. We had breakfast and evening meal. We could not fault it. So varied and really delicious. Plenty of meat for all you meat eaters and desserts were amazing. Staff were helpful and really friendly. Room was spotless and really comfortable. Huge walk in shower and all your shower gel, shampoo and soap provided. Also hairdryer provided. Don Juan, we can't thank you enough for a great holiday! Only negative was maybe have a kettle in room to make our own tea.

Excellent value for the price
The place is very nice, big with many facilities.
I missed gym/spa, but with opened pool you could do some exercises.
2 mins walking from beach.
Breakfast was nice with big variety also for vegetarians.
additional option of lunch and dinner also was there.
At the arrival we were attended by a Polish lady which was extremely nice. Then I came back to ask a question and there was another lady, who wasn't so nice and opened anymore, l asked one simple question she did reply but there was not even a smile.
The staff at the breakfast was also ultra nice despite the fact that they had so much work to do.
The hotel seems to be very kid friendly as there is the entire zone for them

As someone who will not book a hotel without scouring the reviews before hand, I thought it was only fair to return the favour and give my honest opinion of the hotel.

Firstly I would like to say, I don't usually eat meat abroad as it usually not similar to UK meat and I usually just find it gross to be honest. The food at Hotel Don Juan Tossa was a different story, the first hotel I've felt like I could enjoy the meat, they had a variety of it each night including chicken, beef (or veal), pork and sometimes sausages, all of which was cooked amazingly (specifically the beef was amazing, so soft and tasty). Nice big salad bar and also always the option for generic pastas with meat which is comforting when you don't want to try anything new or are feeling fragile from the night before!
The chefs did an amazing job of making sure everyone felt catered for by having a variety of mains as well as dessert. I particularly liked the fact that you could pre-order a packed lunch at reception for the following day for day trips out of the hotel.The restaurant itself is very nice and clean, in the lunch and dinner service you feel as if you are in a real restaurant as you get seated by the host and the amazing waiters come around asking for your drinks orders and bring them to you which is a really nice touch.The reception staff are lovely and in particular there was a young lady who always made us feel welcome and greeted us when we saw her. The rooftop pool bar wasn't open for the duration of our holiday so we did have to get our drinks from the main bar downstairs, however there is a lift or escalators to and from this get to the pool. The cocktails were amazing!! We would definitely recommend the pina colada and the mojito which were possibly some of the best we've ever had. We stayed in the superior triple room which was newly refurbished as you could tell it was lovely and clean and decorated very nice, I was particularly impressed with the mini fridge and balcony in the room however I will note there was no kettle.A special mention to house keeping who were exceptional, everyday the room as cleaned, bed made with fresh towels everyday. I have to say the Entertainment team were incredible. We went from the 8th - 15th October, on the website it explained that they would be celebrating Oktoberfest and Halloween during our time and we went to expecting much but wow. Every night except for a Tuesday they had some kind of entertainment on whether it be live music, a dj or an interactive show put on by the entertainers. They really know how to get you involved and get you up dancing, or playing games to win a German Oktoberfest hat or t shirt. On the Friday and Saturday night they had a "house of terror", all the staff were dressed up in Halloween costumes and the whole hotel was decorated in Halloween decorations. The hotel owns bungalows next door and rents them to guests, they must have cleared out the schedule for this weekend because they turned them into a haunted house! There was a child's version of it during the daytime which I assume was more appropriate for the age, and in the evening had an adults version- I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was definitely not what we got😂 The only thing I could compare it to was something similar to Fright Night in Alton towers! They had amazing actors who were dressed up scary and didn't come out of character once, making strange noises jumping out on us and all sorts- I couldn't believe the hotel had put this on it was honestly the highlight of my holiday😂

We loved our stay at Hotel Don Juan Tossa. Highlights for us included hotel cleanliness, convenient location (a short walk to the beach & restaurants), wonderful buffet breakfast, excellent/hardworking staff, and good value. We would gladly stay there again. Highly recommended!

Rooms are pretty good and big and plthe prices are decent. Breakfast was good. Worth the money.

First impressions was a beautiful hotel. Very friendly at reception when I checked in. My room was beautiful and clean. Towels changed every day. 10 minutes walk from the bus station. 2 minutes to the beach.
