Great friendly modern hotel Common areas: all common areas have recently been refurbished. Every where is very clean and well maintained, the pool area is small but the hotel is very near to the beach. Rooms: we had room 314, corner pool view, decent balcony. All expected amenities including air con. TV old but that didn’t bother us. Food: Both breakfast and Dinner were good, lots of choice all freshly cooked, reasonable drinks prices. Staff: We didn’t experience anything negative during our stay, every one we met was friendly and polite, going out of their way to help, used plates were promptly removed, lots of cleaning in the restaurant, fresh food replenished. The festival of San Juan took place on 23rd June. The hotel held a special meal with complimentary cava and sparklers. I would definitely return to this hotel due to the great experience we had here, if you are looking for a central location, handy for the bus station, shops, beach and restaurants this is the place for you.

We booked this just as a base for a 4 day visit and just wanted something cheap and cheerful, we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel reception, lobby and bar area really nice and the pool and surrounding area is also lovely. The rooms are maybe a little dated although nothing worth complaining about, they are very clean and as we had a corner room the balcony was huge. We would definitely return.

Arrived today. Had checked in online in advance, great feature. Friendly, efficient key collection with Clara. Towel swans and petals on the bed, as it's our wedding anniversary trip, nice touch. Spotless room, with corner balcony, and fridge. Small pool area to be expected, due to central location. Very positive, so far.

This hotel was part of our Barcelona F1 GP package. I would not have chosen the hotel, as I would have never chosen the resort. For me personally, the resort is not for me, but the Hotel Acapulco was perfectly described by a fellow guest, as an oasis in the middle of the rest. The hotel is immaculately clean. The room was basic, but cleaned every day to a high standard. The main reception, bar area, pool area and restaurant are immaculate and the staff were all wonderful. The food was buffet style and was nice enough. I can highly recommend the hotel, but the resort for me, never again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel itself is ideally situated in a short walking distance from beach, shopping, bus station and attractions. Clean spacious hotel with lovely decor. Comfortable rooms with balcony, shower/bath, Air con, TV, small fridge and safe provided. Kettle's available for a 10 euro deposit, refunded on check out. Lovely restaurant which opens out to the pool. Offering a huge buffet breakfast, catering for all tastes. Lunch and Dinner options also. Enjoyable relaxing stay and would highly recommend for families, couples and solo travellers!

We recently stayed here for 7 nights. We found all the staff to be so nice and made us feel very welcome. We booked 4 standard rooms, all the rooms where clean, however a little dated. I asked if there were any superior rooms I could upgrade to (note we arrived at around 11pm at night). The receptionist was so helpful and said yes there was availability. We could of changed the room that night but as it was so late I was happy to swap the morning after breakfast. The next morning the room was ready and I was very happy with it, it was modern and fresh with a lovely big balcony (I'm a little fuzzy). The bed in both rooms were comfy. The hotel looks to be newly renovated downstairs and the superior rooms. It will be nice to see once fully completed. We spent time at the pool, it is a little small but really nice, we enjoyed their cocktails! The breakfast section was okay and set us up for the day, however the coffee wasn't so good. The bar does offer a better coffee but with a charge. The planting around the hotel was gorgeous! I would highly recommend this hotel if staying Lloret de Mar. The location of the hotel make is easy to walk to the beach, shop and bars. I would return back to the hotel. Once again a shout out to all the staff!!!

Pros: * The hotel itself is extremely well decorated/modern/nice spaces. * The hotel/pool is extremely clean and well maintained all round. Fresh towels every day. * The pool area is lovely. The sunbeds are a bit swished together, but always managed to get one. Bar area next to pool which serves variety of drinks * Every single staff member was lovely. * The hotel is in a brilliant location. Next to all the shops/bars/restaurants. And small walk to the beach and castle. * Consistent hot water and good pressure in shower. Cons: * There was no air con for the first few days (not right time of year). But this meant the rooms were VERY warm and we had to open the door. But the noise from the streets kept us awake all night. Also, there's no bug screens, so got bitten! * The room we stayed in was not advertised anywhere and was quite out dated to the ones on website. Room was extremely basic, could have done with re-vamp. Also could do with more hangers and a full length mirror. * No tea/coffee facilities in the room. I know you can buy this downstairs, but for us Brits at least, this is quite a biggy and you get this in most other hotels. Overall, our stay was good. However, going half board and having to pay for all your drinks at the hotel did get a bit pricey for us after a week's stay. We'd be happy to return if it was just for a few nights, but probably wouldn't return for the week. A few little touches and this hotel could be perfect.

The Acapulco Hotel is an excellent family run business. 5 mins walk to the seafront it has all the amenities that you need. We stayed in the standard room pool view . The food was excellent. Staff very polite and friendly. Housekeeping was excellent rooms cleaned daily and communinal areas spotless. For us this was a perfect short break away and we will be returning.

Where do I begin.. when we first arrived at the hotel the young man on reception was very hostile towards us and gave us no information about the hotel. We went to our room and it had only just started to be cleaned so we went and informed the receptionist where we were put on the 1st floor instead. The bath was full of hair and we also noticed a short while after being in the room that the toilet didn’t flush,we got out of bed and told reception and all he said was to come back the next morning,meaning we were unable to use the toilet. We were woken every day around 6:30/7am due to the canopy next to our room being opened with a very loud squeaking noise. The staff were so awful to us and we felt so discriminated for being young (but not that young) and for being English.(we don’t even drink or smoke) The staff were extremely hostile towards us,but when they spoke to the Spanish or French they smiled from ear to ear and gave them the time of day. We were treat like dirt. We tipped no less than 20% when buying something from the hotel but it was never appreciated,they instead thank us with blank stares or dirty looks. They were so hostile we stopped going for breakfast as they made us so uncomfortable. I even had a Spanish guest come up to me at breakfast and asked if I was English,as I replied yes she laughed and shook her head at me,I’d never felt so belittled in my life. The housekeeper was EXTREMELY rude and never once said hello back to us or even faked a smile back,for this reason she was not welcome in our room as we didn’t feel comfortable to do so,we had to clean the room ourselves for the whole week. We feel so disrespected and we couldn’t have been more appreciative and respectful to these people. After doing our research we found that the Spanish have taken a disliking to tourists and we can definitely say this is true. We had ONE female receptionist who was lovely to us but we barely saw her. We were dismissed when trying to raise our issues and just kept being told to “come back the next morning”. I’m so disappointed that we’ve spent so much money and time on a holiday that we didn’t enjoy one bit. So, if you’re English then STAY AWAY! Instead,stay in England where we know how to treat ALL people with respect😊

We was very happy with our stay , extremely clean, rooms cleaned and fresh towels everyday, friendly staff , ideal location, 5 minuets walk into the town , only down side is there is no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room , you have to go down to the little bar in reception for a cuppa , lovely boutique outside area , lovely pool , plenty of nightlife if u want that literally 5 minuet walk .. we are looking at goin back September for a week . We had a lovely time
