Melia Lebreros in Seville

I had been there on bussines trip with my wife in September 25, we had for 5 nights, "The Level" bussines sort of grade. At the reception Patricia asked me for two creditcards, one for payment, other for security deposit. For security I gave the lady my personal card, emphasizing, that this is for security reasons only.
I payed it at the beggining and I got an invoice packed nicely in an envelope, unfortunately it was somebody elses invoice, not mine. Good think, I found out it next day, so they changed it.
After leaving hotel, at the airport, I got a notice from a bank, that they charged me the stay from my personal - "security" credit card. I called the hotel right away, they asked me to right a mail describing situation. So I did. No answer. Two weeks later I sent the mail to another adress directly from a web. No answer. I called the reception of the hotel, I called the management of the hotel. They asked me to send a mail to third adress. Now it is another 6 weeks, no answer. I payed almost 1500 euros and It was my company supposed to pay for it. Nobody in the hotel gives a damn... about it. Once you pay here, you are not important at all. But when you call them on the phone, answering machine tells you: "Welcome to the place, where every detail matters!" Of course...

Pros:
The location is the hotel’s main advantage, it’s close to the airport, well-connected to the city, and convenient for getting around Seville.

Cons:
Unfortunately, almost everything else about our stay was disappointing. The service quality and professionalism at this hotel were far below expectations. Despite holding Meliá Gold status and paying for The Level services, we experienced a complete lack of flexibility and courtesy when requesting a late checkout by just 1–2 hours — and this was while staying in one of their Suite rooms.

When I asked the Level receptionist about the possibility of a slightly later checkout, I was immediately told, “No, sorry, we are almost full.” What was particularly frustrating was that she didn’t even ask for my room number or checkout date before refusing. Even if the hotel was genuinely full, that kind of response felt dismissive and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, as we were checking out, we overheard other guests being granted early check-ins without any issue whatsoever, a clear contradiction to the “fully booked” explanation we were given.
If this is the level of “special treatment” that comes with Meliá Gold status and The Level privileges, there’s absolutely no incentive to invest time or money in maintaining that membership.
Other cons worth mentioning include subpar food quality and limited food options. At breakfast, guests were neither seated nor promptly attended to for a la carte orders. The servers seemed to pass by at random,sometimes taking orders, sometimes not. During my stay, I repeatedly saw guests having to call them over or even walk up to them just to place an order. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable for an “add-on” product that Meliá claims will “enhance” one’s experience and is marketed as a “premium service.”
A very disappointing experience overall, not at all what one would expect from a hotel of this supposed standard.
