Senator Parque Central Hotel

The staff were very rude to us. We made a small mistake when doing a booking. The receptionist told us about that and we politely agreed to pay the fee that we didn’t pay as a result of our mistake. But afterwards one of the employees started to speak to us very disrespectfully claiming that we should respect her colleague, that we are being mean and she was basically screaming at us and not even letting us talk. She was acting like she’s our boss and we need to do everything she says (A quick reminder we were very polite and agreed to correct our mistake and she’s the one talking about respect). We were not going to tolerate such attitude and we said to cancel our reservation. We were going to pay in cash around 820-900 euros I don’t remember the exact amount. They gave the cash back but 2 days later they tried to take the whole amount out of our debit card the one we made the reservation with. Not only they were rude and disrespectful but they also tried to take the money out of our card without providing service. That’s the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

I needed an iron to iron my polo. To be honest, I can't believe I'm writing a review about this because my overall experience at the hotel has been fine. I only stayed here for one day because I missed my airline transfer. In the morning, I went down to ask for an iron so I could iron my polo. At the reception, Mr. Ismel informed me that I needed to pay a 10 euro deposit in cash to get the iron. I told him I didn't have 10 euros in cash. He said, "I'm sorry, then it's not possible to offer you the iron." I asked, "But how am I supposed to iron my clothes then?" He repeated, "I'm sorry."

I offered to leave my phone as a deposit and promised to return the iron in 10 minutes, giving him my room number. I just needed to quickly iron one polo and one pair of jeans. He still refused to give me the iron without the 10 euros in cash. Again, I told him I didn't have the cash. He reiterated that it was hotel policy. I stood there for five minutes, pleading with him to give me the iron, but he refused. For a four-star hotel, this is absolutely incredible and absolutely insane. This is the most ridiculous hotel policy I've ever experienced in my life, and there was nothing he could do for me. I asked for a manager, and he said there wasn't one available.

I informed Ismel that because of this silly issue I will be leaving 1 star reviews everywhere. He didn't respond. As an entrepreneur myself, I cannot believe how it's possible to have such stupid policies with employees that strictly enforce it.

I will never, EVER come back to Senator Parque Hotel or ANY related hotels.
