I spent there 4 nights last week and I must say the level/ quality has strongly decreased since my last visit. At 15:10pm as a Scandic loyalty member I would have been able to check-on only if I paid another 20 euros! Certainly 50 min for 20 euros is not a good deal and it just shows that Scandic hotel chain moved to a low fare airline type of accommodation provider. You need to separate pay for breakfast, for check-in before 16pm, etc. Moreover, the breakfast quality also dropped (I assume it is part of this new cost saving program introduced few months ago). I needed to ask the reception to get my towels changed and at 22pmin the night one hotel employee was knocking the door and waking me up whether I have order coffee in my room (of course not, usually at that time I try to sleep).

To wait 1.5 hours for a simple dinner is not ok. No info from the Staff, when the food finaly arrived they forgot the potatos. And in stead of aioli we got whipped crem.

If you are in a need for a very basic hotel with very basic services, this is a good option. There is nothing extra anywhere. Rooms are spacious enough but they are not there to spend any extra time in. For some reason the staff in the reception was not interested in me either when checking in or checking out - as I do not remember anybody saying "welcome" or "welcome back again". Breakfast was included in my room price, but I see no reason why anybody would pay 15 (?) euros for it. Good sleep quality, ok room, excellent location - that's it.

Nice hotel and great breakfast BUT I was staying there as my mum was in hospital with an undetermined leave date, so had to book again when she was not allowed to leave. Even though I booked again the same day I checked out, they would not let me into the room until 1pm (unless I paid an early fee) despite the person behind the desk knowing my situation. So for me poor customer experience and not an understanding company considering how many customers must be there for same reason.

I went to a concert in Helsinki and this hotel was near (walking distance) away from the Icehall. Service at hotel was very good and the room I got was at 11th floor, nice view. Room was clean and I liked how it looked. I got a good night sleep here. Breakfast was also included at the price I paid. Good hotel style breakfast. Positive experience.

Good and clean. Near marathon start point. Only drawback is that it does not have a gym and sauna opens from 1800-2200h.

This hotel is ideal for me for several reasons: Hotel is well located. From reception onwards the personnel makes me feel welcome. Rooms are nice, spacy enough, well equipped and clean. Breakfast is excellent and included in price. Restaurant and Sauna available. Downstairs supermarket open late evening and week-ends. And everything at really correct price ! ( I am a private traveller paying everything from my own pocket.) Ever since discovering this hotel I haven't gone elsewhere any more, when visiting Helsinki (some 3 times/year)

Perfect location, perfect room and perfect breakfast options! Surprisingly much glutenfree options, so i was really happy. However it would be nice to have maybe small individual packages of hazelnutspread/nutella, because the pots that stand on the counter to be used are shared with people who use their knives to spread it on glutenfull bread, and this unfortunately gives cross contamination and makes me ill. (The staff kindly brought me a new pot to use, tho she almost put the glutenfull knive in it, so maybe just a little bit of education to the staff about gluten free and cross contamination would be good)
If maybe like those small individual packages of hazelnut spreads and jams can be added it would be absolutely perfect!
