My experience at Hotel Le Faucigny in Chamonix was an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to warn others about their shockingly poor service. It’s baffling that a business operating in the hospitality sector could treat its customers—who quite literally keep them in business—with such unprofessionalism and utter disregard.

First of all, their response time to emails is outrageously slow. I reached out multiple times to clarify a simple question about whether it would be possible to cancel my reservation without penalties. Instead of a straightforward answer, they took it upon themselves to cancel my booking entirely—without my permission! This kind of behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s downright disrespectful.

But the nightmare didn’t end there. After traveling for hours and arriving at the hotel at 11 PM, exhausted and ready to rest, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled. I was left with no room, no support, and no options late at night in a foreign country. The level of stress and frustration I experienced was unimaginable.

How can a hotel, a place meant to provide comfort and shelter, treat its guests like this? It’s unbelievable that they operate in the service industry but seem to have no understanding of how to professionally handle the people who keep their business alive. Their incompetence and lack of basic respect for their customers are appalling.

If they can’t manage to provide even the most basic level of customer service, they have no business being in the hospitality industry. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs unless you want to risk being stranded and treated with utter indifference. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s clear they don’t care about their customers at all.

The staff is a big highlight of our 3 night stay. So helpful, happy and eager to assist making our time in Chamonix excellent. They recommended all the right restaurants and tips on all things local. Thank you to the team. Looking forward to visiting again and will make.this our home in Chamonix. 5 stars for a 3 Star hotel. Michael

The room was quite worn out. It needs some painting, cleaning of the pillows on the sofa and around the roof window on the first floor. Toilet on the ground floor cannot flush 100%.
All staff were very helpful and kind. The apartment had a nice view to the mountains and is perfectly placed in the middle of the village. Check out at 10:00am is a little too early.

Couldn't ask for more. Very nice hotel, great view from the room and extremely friendly staff. If I had to nitpick on anything it would be that the breakfast is a bit overpriced for what you get. But it's very convenient and the overall experience great. I've definitely found my to-go-to hotel whenever I will be heading to Chamonix for hiking, skiing or paragliding!

Hotel is very beautiful. I request a room in the first floor and they were very helpful with our luggage. Staff very friendly and sweet, always with a smile and good attitude. Rooms beautiful and the jacuzzi in the spa was the best way to end a day In Chamonix. The view of my room to the snow mountains. I’ll get back to this hotel on my next holidays

This is a gem in the heart of Chamonix. The rooms are tasteful and classy - not pretentious. My view from the room was incredible, and I spent most of my time in there glancing at Mont Blanc. Chocolate shops to grocery stores were all within a few minutes walking from the hotel. Mathilde and Alexandra were particularly wonderful and extremely attentive and thoughtful. I'd return in a heart beat!

Great little hotel. Superb location. Nice decorated and furnished. Super friendly, helpful team and generous, delicious breakfasts. A perfect place for a break in Chamonix.

This was by far one of the beat hotels I've ever stayed in. It is located right in the centre of Chamonix and everyrhing is withing a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There is a spa that is included that is also in the hotel aswell as an continental breakfast in the morning if you choose to pay for it. The hotel has free coffee, lattes and hot chocolate and the staff are very friendly and helpful If ypu are planning a trip here, book with this hotel.
