Small motel on the outskirts of Marseille. Lady at reception is friendly. Free on site parking available which fit our ford transit campervan. The location is close to a local microbrewery which was very good. Only downside is the air conditioner struggled in the 30 degree summer heat.
I didn't have much expectations for this hotel but I was happily surprised. Yes, the room is small and there aren't many amenities. But the room is functional, the bed is good and there's A/C. The service was helpful and friendly. The breakfast is ok. There's a bus stop to the Prado roundabout nearby. I didn't try their Internet connection. For this price, I couldn't pretend to more.

Very well-located and the hotel has a lot of retro charm. Be aware that there can be a lot of outdoor noise with music playing loudly till midnight on certain nights at the cafe next door to the hotel.
Perfect location. Especially for those who will only going to stay for a short trip because you will not waste your time going to the point of interest of Marseille because it is at the heart of the tourist area. The view from the room is gorgeous and worth the money. Restaurants and souvenir shops are lining up the area. Based on my limited stay I learn that Marseilles can give up different vibes...
The location is very good, travel is convenient, and the lobby is very inspiring.
The room is clean and tidy, everyone at the front desk is very enthusiastic and helpful, the hotel is in a very good location, right opposite the harbor, and only a 10-minute walk from tourist attractions. There are many restaurants around, with food from all over the world.
A wonderful stay. The concierge and staff was very helpful and friendly. Amazing view on the balcony and very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Will be staying here for future trips and highly recommend this for anyone looking to spend time in Marseilles! View from the room:
The location is great. The window is right next to the Old Port of Marseille, and you can see the whole view of the Old Port of Marseille. The hotel lobby lounge is quite spacious and there is a mini gym on the second floor. There are balconies above the 3rd floor, and the rooms are decorated in French style.

PHOTOS AND REVIEW INACCURATE! Photos are super old and outdated and the reviews are inaccurate. This hotel is super spacious, clean, comfortable mattress, wall plugs, quiet street, clean bathroom. Central to Marseille. Highly recommend.
I stayed there one night. Believe it or not, it's a pretty clean place, but I was bitten by either bedbugs or fleas. I scratched all the next day, feeling like they were crawling all over me. I booked a room with a shower, but they wanted to give me a room with a shared shower. After I complained, they changed my room. There's not much space to hang things; there's very little space. I wouldn't recommend...
The location is good, 10 minutes walk from the old port. The room is spacious and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
It was ok..as it was heated so it was comfortable..ok for the price. I don't mind cheap hotels like this..used to them

Very clean- it the best what this hotel have. Was suprizing what is around hotel and how clean hoyel is. Rooms- old, but very clean. Pictures looks better as in reality. I think its good place on summer- beach, games, bars... If you have bicycles- it amazing, because there are "beach" road till the center. Whatever- rooms are expensive comparing with other countries and there are nothing exeptional...
Well I keep masing the 3,5 stars in many reviews... The location is "cool" the Hotel is reasonable, definitely the most improvable thing was friendliness at the staff... But ok
Comfortable and clean hotel in a beautiful seaside location, nice decor and friendly owners. Very easy to get to both National park (Calanques) and old town Marseille (port) either by ferry from Pointe Rouge or bus right across the road. Here's some pictures of the park/beach across.

Quite alright! I got a pretty good deal... Paid around 70+ and it was definitely worth a bit more, very spacious rooms and toilets! Comfy bed...
We really enjoyed staying there, perfect for us as a couple, quiet and not too far away from the port or other activities. And the view can’t be beat!
Some say, "Le Rhul" is one of the few real places, where you can have a Bouillabaisse. In our case it was a hotel concierge and he was not wrong (I would like to believe). Very friendly staff at the restaurant. And I take this as "vive la experience!". It must come with the territory when you look for the iconic Bouillabaisse. Otherwise this place is so old-school, other dishes are so old-school. Am...
Amazing restaurant with magnificent sunset views. The bouillabaisse is very traditional and tasted splendid. The fish was really fresh and the croutons with aioli so good! Service was good and they came to top up my dish with hot soup three times. A fantastic experience.
The restaurant is nice, service was partially very good and partially not according to the price level. We had starters and second course (bouillabaisse) which was far too much and also for the kids. A small advice from the waiters could have been helpful. Food itself was good. Portions are huge. 2 adults and 3 kids ended up with 430 eur, which is a number where I expect everything has to be perfect
Very nice staff and breathtaking view if you choose a sea view room.

Nowadays this place seems improved compared to previous reviews (I was on the 4th floor). Front desk was very nice and helpful. Room is decently comfortable and clean. Showers are weak and hard to manage. Unfortunately no lift/elevator. Area is safe as long as youre not out alone after midnight. Lots of entertainment around all day. Overall 3.5-4.0/5.
A lot better than hotel de la Renaissance.

Hôtel small but great The host was very polite room was very clean and they watched over my bags during my appointment
Great no frills stay. AC was nice and cold and it was in a convenient location by the port. Good price for a one night stay.
The only positive point for this establishment is the location (Old Port)! The rooms do not correspond to the photos, there is no elevator so good luck with the suitcases and if you have to leave the hotel early in the morning, there is not even anyone to open the door, I found myself stuck for 15 minutes! In short, first and last time
Great location near everything. Paid €55 per night which is a good deal for Marseilles in the off season. Cheap and cheerful. It's a marathon of a staircase, but the beds were comfortable and you could control the temperature with an aircon unit. Bathrooms were hilariously bad. Although private, they are tiny, smell of mildew and the toilet is not bolted to the ground so its quite the wobbly experience...
The hotel was in an amazing location .. the person at the reception who spoke English was very helpful. The person who only spoke French was very unhelpful - and a bit rude too. The reception area reeked of cigarettes. Other than this excellent hotel.
Good price for central location to Old Port. Limited amenities but clean and felt safe.

Great location and that is the reason why it is overpriced. I paid an arm to stay here just one night for a concert, but it was great for me as I’m solo. I’d never pay that much to stay here otherwise as it does not match the price. Clean, friendly staff which is lovely. No easily accessible food places close by. Room is quiet though which was a pleasant surprise.
The hotel is okay. We paid 3 times more its value because it was match day. Okay whatever. Now, at checkin the room was not readyp
Hotel bien place commode our Les transports propre. Dommage cependant que la réservation du parking soit difficile. Messages sans réponse. Obligés d'appeler un téléphone surtaxé. De plus la télécommande de la télévision n'était pas commode . Pas trop d'aide de la part de l'accueil
We were advised to take a bus when we specifically asked about walking to Borely and the beach nearby. No reason given so we can only speculate perhaps our age, 'technically' seniors but active ones..maybe safety.. but in mid-day with plenty of people walking?! Luckily we decided to walk anyway, a pleasant experience. I understand the staff believed they were being helpful, perhaps cautious.
As good as expected for a 2 star hotel. Wifi is quite improvable.
Friendly and clean place ,amazing room view from up, my stay was very short so i couldn't not appreciate it well, but the breakfast was delicious, and the room pretty good

the hotel was nice and the breakfast was fair. the room was also good. the best thing of this hotel was the girl on the reception desk, mrs Maria, who have us very important insights about the city.
They don't hold your luggage before check in or after check out - one of the main reasons we booked to stay in a hotel rather than an Airbnb as we had a late flight out.
Cheap and bare bones. Great for solo travelers or partners, no fridge in room with little ammenties in general but that's to be expected for the price. Very hot at night, weak air conditioner
You can walk to the seaside. It's conveniently located near the station. At night, you can hear people talking from the road in front of the hotel.
It's a bit remote, but fine. The rooms are average and very clean. The area is safe.
Great staff, not bad for a quick and cheap overnight stay.

The location is good. The accommodation is a bit old and basic.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great location and the room had everything we need.
The price is a bit expensive. Parking is not cheap either.
There are many strange people in the nearby environment. You must be careful when going back at night. The room has a peculiar smell, which may be the smell of the air conditioner, but the service is very good and it is close to the station.
They are very average, near the old port, the public security is very poor at night and dare not go out! On the left hand side of the main entrance of the hotel is a relief station where homeless people and street wanderers gather!
There is a parking lot next to it.

My initial impression of Marseille as a city was quite negative. We faced two rejections from car services right outside the train station, and the streets seemed chaotic. However, a pleasant surprise awaited us at the hotel: the front desk staff spoke Chinese, which immediately made us feel welcome. The room itself was incredibly spacious, even featuring a small extra bed. It included a microwave...
I had a good sleep in the clean room. It was the worth more than the price.
We booked the hotel as a supreme suite for three people. It actually could have slept three people, but I would not describe it as a suite neither a supreme. It consisted of one room with a double bed and a single bed separated by a movable curtain. The air conditioning was also very weak, even when set to very cold, and we couldn't sleep well.
Clean and spacious. Nice coffee bar. Safe neighbourhood.
BELLE HOTEL ET BELLE VILE MERCI POUR TOUS ET BONNE VACANCES .
The room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The service was excellent; the front desk staff was very helpful and arranged a taxi for me when I checked out at 9:15 AM. Much appreciated!

The location is very good, it is convenient to go everywhere, in the downtown area, but the waiter is a bit sloppy in cleaning the room. Our rooftop terrace had bird droppings on the floor that were not swept clean, and the lounge chairs were also quite dirty, so we couldn't lie down. On the last day, no one came to clean the room. Ctrip contacted the front desk and they said they would come between...
This is the second time, and I'm still having the same shower problems. There's no pressure, so much so that only the hand shower can be used.
The hotel is in a very good location, opposite the boat ticket booth at the old port. Other than that, it is very average. The breakfast pick-up area is in a small kitchen. The waiter tells you to choose a seat first, and then take the plate on the seat to pick up the food. Even so, the kitchen is crowded and there are few food choices. I hope the room has warm air conditioning at night, but I was...
The hotel is next to the old pier, and the apartment is on the street 300 meters away. You need a card to enter and exit the main door. The old house is OK, but the color is darker. The service is good. After the negotiation, they actually provided two extra quilts. Ctrip's direct contact did not work well. It may be because of the agency relationship of b00King, and the store does not take it seriously...
I booked a studio, and it was spacious and clean. It was also conveniently located near a shopping area.
The room is on the pedestrian street, five minutes away from the front desk. You don't need to go to the front desk when you check out. Just put the room card on the big table. It's very user-friendly! The room is large and has a terrace where you can make tea, coffee and breakfast. WiFi is very convenient. The tableware and kitchenware are complete. The hotel is very basic, nothing special. Cleaning is good. Pros: The staff is very friendly, and compared to other hotels in France, we left the best impression possible. Cons: 1. The first welcome was very friendly and helpful. Easy check-in, unfortunately there was a smell of humidity in the corridors. The room and bathroom were clean but a little more care was needed because there were hairs on the floor. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. It was within walking distance to the central points.
Suitable hotel for business trips. Coffee machine and microwave at reception. Small sofa area. Small room but adequate for one night. Lacks some light
The hotel is not far from the port. From the airport the bus dropped us off 1 km from the hotel and at night it is better to avoid walking in that area. Better to use a taxi. Best location near train station, very convenient. My room is quite big for one person. Staff are nice. I have a nice experience in this hotel.
The lanes entering Marseille train station run from east to west, so you have a sense of direction; the hotel is located on the north side of the station outside the railway level. I would be very careful before booking this hotel during the summertime. They say there is AC but it's extremely weak, perhaps 10% strength, we tested out four different rooms.
