Mama Shelter Paris West

The location is great for exhibitions. The room cost €162 a night which was ok for the location. The room was clean but lacked all the basic things. No kettle for a brew, no coffee machine, no water in the fridge, and no cups or glasses for any drinks at all (these are standard in a chain). After a long trip from the airport sitting in traffic trying to get into Paris then you want a drink when you get to your room (well I do. Normally a tea but will have a coffee if that's what's available). Check in was easy and relatively quick The staff are great, the food is good, the main thing is the lack of basic amenities in the room. Oh, the beds are comfy so you get a decent night's sleep. Just hope you don't wake up for a drink. The second time I've stayed here for business. I think it's the last time. Not great value for money.

The staff is phenomenal. The rooftop bar has all the vibes. The breakfast has a decent selection. Rooms are bare bones. It's just a bed, chair, and desk. There is no closet, no iron, no tea kettle. The vending and washing machines didn't work during my stay. They're going for an industrial minimalist look, but it was more spartan. I stayed there for business so having to go a few floors down to use the community iron didn't sit well with me. Having said that, my manager was assigned room 701 and if I had that room, the communal ironing room wouldn't bother me. Apparently there are suites with floor to ceiling corner windows. The luck of the draw I suppose. We both booked the same type of room but she checked in the evening. If you're here for pleasure, then it's fine. Business trip not so much. Bed is super comfy though 👌

It's ok, nothing more. Decent food. Staff needs some serious management and leadership, as they seemed lost most of the time, bringing out wrong dishes, or at a wrong time so at the table we couldn't really enjoy our food all at the same time. Just a lot of confusion on their end, and a slow service. Views from the top are not spectacular, we had a table on the inside, so with the huge curtains on the windows one could not enjoy the views anyways even if worth it. The menu is limited, mainly Italian food, which was disappointing. Would not recommend nor go again.
