The hotel is very well situated for seeing the main sights of Rouen. The bedroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
The television had a good sized screen and a choice of many channels, a few in English. The self service breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of choice. There were 2 lifts.
Some rooms have better views than others.

Great location and very friend staff. The (bath)room needs an update and the 2 person bed was really small! Location wise really great, with all shops, restaurants around the corner. Bit difficult to reach by car, but the indoor parking behind the cathedral is top and cheap! We will come back to Rouen for sure!

I get five reasons why I gave it four stars

especially Paula
3 management Nicolas made an uncomfortable situation work for us and was very accommodating and couldn’t have been nicer to try to have a solution with the problem we were having with the Air conditioning when the temperature was extremely high
4 breakfast lots of choices staff was excellent
5 we had a privilege room finally they give you water and drinks good coffee makers
The reason I didn’t give it five stars it needs a renovation. It was renovated 2017 and because I saw four rooms not that were privileged. They were a little tired. But I would highly recommend this location hotel and the chain we use a lot and I think that they really put an effort over and beyond the call of duty to make my stay memorable we will bring friends and be back again.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Mercure Rouen Centre in April. The room had modern amenities such as a refrigerator, digital safe, hair dryer, reading lights, iron, kettle, and good lighting in the bathroom (two settings). I liked that there was a place to put your luggage too.
The location is fantastic as you are close to everything. There is a parking garage (see photo) but we decided to park near the train station as we were nervous about driving through the bollards and pedestrian areas not knowning enough French.
They have a large breakfast buffet with many choices. They also serve dinner and have a very nice bar.
We would definitely stay here again. Very clean and safe location. Check-in and out was super fast and easy.

Garage entrance and parking spaces are really tiny& narrow,do not enter if you have a bigger car rental that you're not used to,marks on the walls prove the point. Room was nice but bathroom a bit too simple,suggest to have more toiletry products for a 4* property. Corridors&doors need some touch-ups. Nicest part is the buffet breakfast area which is really nicely set up for service.
Loved the water fountain at the reception with sparkling water. Amazing central location that is perfect for short time stay like we had. Quiet in the night which allows to keep the windows open for those who do not like heated rooms &dry air.

Friendly, helpful and pleasant staff, great breakfast, many choices and well presented. Room was clean and spacious with a balcony. Price acceptable for location and facilities, as always bar prices aimed at expense accounts. Would return without any qualms.

Great location, and good breakfast. Car park a squeeze but at least they have bigger spaces on one of the floors. If arriving by car, do your homework with directions before you arrive to avoid going round in circles on the one way system. Will return! ?

We enjoyed our stay during the 2016 Christmas period. It is in a fairly central location in Rouen and in a short walk to the historic cathedral. A fairly decent breakfast buffet.
