Normandy Le Chantier

Perfect historic and newly renovated hotel. Hallways still not finished yet, but don’t be put off.

The rooms were perfectly renovated, very large for Paris. Bathrooms were immaculate. Spa like. Huge! Great pressure, temperature. Lots of mirrors and space. The windows are frosted behind the curtains so still very private.

One of the coolest places I’ve stayed in Europe.

The breakfast was excellent too. Quality pastries as well as eggs, toast, cold cut meats, fruit, juices and good coffee freshly ground and prepared.

Front desk staff were great! So much more relaxed than previous trips to Europe. George (I think was his name) who worked the overnight was a real fun guy who helped us find some night life and got us a cab to the airport in the morning.

The hotel is ideally located near the Louvre with lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

It is about a 30 min walk to NoteDame. We also did nice morning walk to the Arc d Triompe

The check in was smooth and we had a family room on the 5th floor.

It was a spacious room with modern amenities and lots of electric outlets and charging USB ports.

The is a really nice and open wardrobe and shelves to put your clothing.

Rooms were fully sound proff.

Bed was comfortable and Linen was clean.

I loved the bathroom and the soaps and bathwash was really good quality. Towels and robes were clean and white.

I also loved the decor of the room.

Housekeeping came everyday and staff was generally pleasant and kind for our request for water and tea.

This hotel is great value for money and would recommend.

Well I wanted to leave Paris before writing a critic but couldn’t help it. The location is beyond perfect. It’s the best place to stay in Paris for sure. The rooms are renovated, big and clean. The breakfast is as it should be and the people working here are polite and fun.

Lovely hotel in a great location. We had a nice room with a sort of balcony, nice big bed and WC. One small issue with breakfast, food wasn't replenished as regularly as it could, so choice was limited at times. There wasn't enough staff to turn over tables for the rush. Maitre d wasn't assisting with clearing or setting tables and only stood there watching as poor server was stressed and rushed to clear and set 5 or 6 tables for a queue forming. Had they worked as a team, tables would have been turned around much quicker. Other than that, the staff were great and very helpful.

I stayed in this hotel twice .. in May and June 2022, in the new deluxe room. The room is large with very large bathroom, I really liked it. Windows are large and well secured with good curtains, The room is sunny. Bed is comfortable, the only issue we had was the coffee machine was not working and leaking. Staff is very helpful, the room is cleaned daily. If you have issues you can whatsapp the staff and they reply within a reasonable time. Reception looks old and small, but this is not important. The location of the hotel is just excellent, very short walking distance to Louvre, parks and many attractions and restaurants. They will charge your credit card with a daily deposit, make sure you review card and any charges made. We didnt try the breakfast or restaurant, but there are may restaurants around.
