The concierge's service was warmth.
Rooms are clean, with essential amenities, and satisfying breakfast.
Albeit, some of the staffs, particularly at the buffet place looks unpleasant. But overall, I would say this is a reliable choice that delivers what you need for a stay
First, the room conditions were disappointing. The carpets were visibly dirty, and in both rooms I stayed in, the rainfall showerheads malfunctioned. Despite notifying staff, the second room’s showerhead sprayed water all over the bathroom, creating more frustration. To make matters worse, it appeared there was black mold under the wallpaper in certain areas, which is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one marketed as upscale.
The amenities fell far short of expectations. The TV’s casting functionality didn’t work, and the channel selection was abysmal—only eight news stations, which is far below the standard I’ve experienced across Europe. There were also holes in the bed sheets, adding to the feeling that attention to detail is lacking. Additionally, the rooms lacked proper luggage storage, forcing me to open my suitcase on the floor—a frustrating inconvenience.
The marketing for this hotel painted a picture of luxury, but the reality was far from it. This felt more like a small boutique hotel with breakfast included. While the breakfast was a nice touch, the overall comfort and quality left much to be desired.
Maison Albar Hotels Le Diamond may appeal to some travelers, but it did not meet my expectations for a 5-star property. Significant improvements are needed to align with the experience they advertise.
