Maison Albar Hotels Le Diamond

I recently stayed at Maison Albar Hotels Le Diamond, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the 5-star rating it claims. At best, this is a 4-star boutique hotel with notable shortcomings that impacted my overall experience.

First, the room conditions were disappointing. The carpets were visibly dirty, and in both rooms I stayed in, the rainfall showerheads malfunctioned. Despite notifying staff, the second room’s showerhead sprayed water all over the bathroom, creating more frustration. To make matters worse, it appeared there was black mold under the wallpaper in certain areas, which is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one marketed as upscale.

The amenities fell far short of expectations. The TV’s casting functionality didn’t work, and the channel selection was abysmal—only eight news stations, which is far below the standard I’ve experienced across Europe. There were also holes in the bed sheets, adding to the feeling that attention to detail is lacking. Additionally, the rooms lacked proper luggage storage, forcing me to open my suitcase on the floor—a frustrating inconvenience.

The marketing for this hotel painted a picture of luxury, but the reality was far from it. This felt more like a small boutique hotel with breakfast included. While the breakfast was a nice touch, the overall comfort and quality left much to be desired.

Maison Albar Hotels Le Diamond may appeal to some travelers, but it did not meet my expectations for a 5-star property. Significant improvements are needed to align with the experience they advertise.

It's a 5 star hotel but not a 5 star environment and services like a 2-star Hotel.

Reception can't multitask very poor knowledge.
-Wasting paper/item. Instead of giving seven pieces of tag for 7 luggage , I suggested giving 1 piece for 7 luggage.
The room shower head was broken...
Bottled water replenishes once only while staying for 4 nights.
- Bartender (old guy) gave wrong drink..Instead I'd ordered Ice latte, he give ice tea...(poor understanding)
-They business partner for booking seems give wrong information regarding the room pictures and room type,and reception can't do anything about it , requested for an upgrade to another room but they doesn't have additional room's..seriously??

Overall, for me, this hotel is a 2-star hotel .

The stay itself was fine (not great, but OK), however the receptionist named Saima (who was condescending and rude to say the least) MISINFORMED us on arrival that the mini-bar was free - we even asked again if it was complimentary to which she replied yes. If she didn’t understand English properly in the first place, then she should not be agreeing and providing false information.
Thankfully, we only consumed 2 bottles of orange juice, which was 8 euros each. Nowhere around the bar was a price list provided (again misleading and reinforcing the fact it is complimentary).
I’m not sure if this is a ploy to scam tourists or just one bad fruit, but this is not the way to treat customers.
Won’t be coming back and do NOT recommend as this has just left a bad taste to an otherwise OK stay.
