Afitis Boutique Hotel

Everything is a big lie there. See view room, with zero sea view. Five star hotel with three star rooms. They don’t want to show you room before you pay 100% of the room. Than they say there is no manager in the afternoon - and there is a manager. Than they say - it’s a hotel policy not to return back your money- and after a half and hour ‘fight’, the return you. They are liars! In the time of the internet and fast sharing of informations, you have to be honest with your guest! You can’t sell three star room with buildings view, as a five star sea view room. At the end I want to apologize to young lady at the reception Despina, for my unpleasant behave, and to thank to the manager for money return.

Extremely bad services, the fridge is mot working and nobody care, air conditioning is nosy, staff doesn’t care at all about quest needs, breakfast poor, coffee - low quality, pictures from the site are iconic.. but are just a wish to, restaurant is one of the worst i ever had in greece… this is not even a 3 star hotel… only the view and location but all the rest don’t deserve the money asked …

We paid for 5 stars double room and what we first got (pictures bellow) is nowhere near 3 stars. Old, dirty, rusty, smelly, no wifi, not in the main building, the pictures say it all. The weirdest part was that they kept telling us that we were upgraded, which just by common sense or by looking at their website is not true. The first day they didn’t give us any information if we can actually get the room we paid for, just to wait and then tomorrow we had a talk with their reservation manager Giorgia, the most unprofessional and the rudest person that we have ever stumbled upon in our lives. Instead of apologizing, we got accusations, she kept saying in our face that it is not true that room is what we say it is, even though it is clear from the pictures, but 24h stressful hours later we got transferred to a normal room. They told us this is also upgrade, even though the room is 10sqm not 20, as the one we booked, does not have all amenities etc. But it was decent. Overall hotel experience definitely way far from 5 stars - yes you have a coffee maker in the room but they do not replenish the pods, nor cosmetics, breakfast buffet is really average - dishes are cold, poor choice, also more like a 3 than 5 stars. We went for a a la carte dinner once, but the service there is also terrible - you order one thing, they bring you a different dish and then argue with you that this is the same stuff. Also, both food and drinks are extremely overpriced. Wifi is working semi decently only when you are in your room, in any other area of the hotel, be prepared to use up your data plan. One day lady from the maintenance staff just jumped straight in to our room, no knocking anything unlock and comes in, no apologies, opened the mini bar and left. Shower cabin is leaking and flooding the bathroom, we found out that this is usual complain they have but they are not bothered. We didn’t have hot water one day, didn’t have water at all for some time next day. If there is a rate below zero for customer experience, Afitis should get that. Especially if you have price and 5 star rating in mind. Too bad because with the right management and people, this place could be perfect, as I heard it had been couple of years ago. But as it is now, I would never ever recommend this place to anyone.

The worst experience ever at Afitos studios. The building was old and dirty with functional problems. Every morning, we experienced another problem as the door couldn’t lock either with card or with key. The room has no ventilation, there is no communication at all between cleaning staff, technical support and reception. The location was so bad, you couldn’t find the exact address of the hotel after 8pm that the center is closed. And no one informed us. Every morning we waited more than 1 hour to fix the problems and every day we ended up not have a key in our room and need to find it in a hidden place from others. I never recommend this place to anyone!

Our plan was to have stress free vacation, since I am pregnant, so we chose Afitis as a 5star hotel where we thought we will have quality accommodation and service. It was completely opposite.

The hotel itself is not bad, good location. Access to the sea and view. The bad things are the photoshopped pictures on the site in terms of the beach being sandy. The very entrance to the sea is difficult and it should be presented that way. Not fake pictures. The hotel is offered as Adult Only, but the beach is full of guests with pets and children. Management and reception far from a 5 star hotel.
