Mimoza Beach Hotel

A well located hotel, easy reach of the *****. Lots of restaurants /bars close by. The hotel building is very dated and needs an upgrade. Basic but clean. Shower facilities poor and no hot water in our room between 6-7pm. You have to pay €2 per day for safety deposit box in the office and €7 per day for air con. Breakfast is not extensive but caters to all nationalities. Staff were helpful. You can walk off the grounds straight into the sea. However no beach. The bungalows appear much more modern.

The staff here are amazing. I'm sorry to say that I did not learn the name of the lady who works at the front desk during the day, but she was the absolute best and did everything she could to make things more pleasant for us. We had an issue with the air conditioning in the first room and they upgraded us to a different room for free.
I also liked that the landscaping is old and mature... the vines and trees are beautiful.

The WiFi is complete garbage. Good luck even sending a text from your room, much less downloading emails. If you need to stay connected, this is not the place for you. The property is old and really needs a complete refresh. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are old and tiny with a terrible smell. The pool chairs are old and worn out, some of them tearing and broken. The breakfast buffet was very basic with yogurt, sugary cereal (like a version of cocoa puffs), and some processed meats. They did have fried eggs. That may have been the only 'real' food available. The "fruit" was from a can with syrup... like the Dole canned fruit with pears and peaches... really not normal in Greece where fresh fruit is abundant and generally one of the best parts of breakfast. The orange juice also tasted like it came from some kind of sugary concentrate... definitely not fresh. We tried the breakfast the first morning and went out to pay for breakfast elsewhere after that.

If you want pool towels, they are €5 to use. You can keep them and reuse them during your stay, though. They have a gym... it's €5 per day to use (according to a sign when you walk in). The safe in the room is available for an extra €3 per day. We were not charged for air conditioning, I assume because it's included in the Booking.com price, but we observed other people checking in being told that it's €7 per day for air conditioning.

The pool bar is great... reasonably priced for the area, and the person working there is wonderful. We really appreciated all the staff and how hard they worked.

The rooms are outdated needing a renovation, but they are clean at least. The breakfast is not a big deal but it's okayish. The location of the hotel is perfect, being the only aspect which deserves 5 stars.

Now the negative points:
There is no staff present during the night, if something happens, who to ask for help???
There are elderly people who maybe doesn't speak Greek or English who will help them if there is an emergency during the night????
Also anyone can walk in and out the hotel during the night!!!

Need to mention that nowhere is specified that you have to pay extra 7euro/day for AC, this will be comunicated while doing the checkin.

You have to pay the toursit tax for a 3 star hotel, for 2 star(with good intention) conditions.

Also the rooms facing the main road are noisy, there is a restaurant next to it wich has daily live concerts from 10pm to 12pm and they are VERY loud, you can't sleep with an open window.
