Kefalonia Grand Hotel

Clean hotel room.
We had some problems with the air conditioning. The receptionist was supposed to call a technician but didn't follow up with us. She helped us change the settings, and that helped a little. You can hear people in the hallway from your room, which is annoying in the morning.
The mattress is unfortunately hard and uncomfortable.
I think the price is too high for what you get. We had a double room with a balcony, it was a small room and almost nowhere to put your luggage.

Apart from that, the hotel is very well located. The breakfast is very good where you can order different dishes and coffee varieties. It doesn't cost extra. The staff is nice.

Modern, very clean hotel with a great atmosphere. Excellent 5 star breakfasts and bar. Super central location. Free parking a few minutes walk from the port.

The rooms are small but practical. Very limited space to swing a cat. No functional place to put a suitcase. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay, great breakfast, the hotel is in such a great location. We will definitely be back again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really good hotel, food excellent, very clean. Respectful staff. Brilliant location for all amenities. Let down a little bit by the bathroom, shower not working, toilet sear loose, shower doors loose if 50€ was spent these could be resolved. The balcony was small but could be overcome by removing the table and fitting a shelf onto the balcony big enough for a couple of drinks. These faults fall into insignificance and did not affect what is a really good hotel in a superior location.I would go there again

We stayed for 5 nights and can highly recommend the hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent, and the rooms are well equipped. The air conditioning works perfectly, and the location of the hotel is ideal—just a 3-minute walk to the city center.

We were even able to rent a car through a partner company.

We’d be happy to come back.

Hotel in a central location, beautifully decorated, high-quality breakfast, a little difficult to find parking in the area but that's the case throughout the central area.
The only reason we didn't give a perfect score is that there were a lot of difficulties in making changes to our reservation through booking.com with the hotel's customer service representative. It took her many days to give us answers and they were unclear, the representative's availability via email is almost non-existent and she can only be reached by phone one day a week for a few hours.
In short, the hotel is really good, but it must respect itself and its customers and urgently improve its availability and response.

I don’t understand some of the bad ratings here. The location is perfect and the service of the hotel and restaurant is so lovely.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Yes the rooms are not very large and the balconies are small but in general I need the room for the night so I’m fine with the room size.

Regarding the parking possibilities we always found a free lot in one of the roads nearby the hotel. Max walking distance we had was ~100m.

The only downside we’ve seen or better heard is the noise. A little bit from outside but most from inside the hotel. The room doors are not very isolating and on top we had a connection door to the next room. This needs improvement especially because the room doors are closing very loud if you are not careful and also the guests and cleaning staff (who is doing a great job) creates noise. But this is not worth to reduce the rating.

The staff were so friendly with nothing too much trouble. The restaurant also offers a good selection. Hotel is of simplistic design. My only comment would be that there is a need for some maintenance to lift the standard.
