Matoula Beach

The staff was really helpful, friendly, polite...
They even changed our room after we complained about a noise in our room.
The food was SO tasty - fruits,pastries, yoghurt... everything.
We had an evening with the Greek food, music, and dance that was perfect .
Not far from the beach, with a nice pool and garden.
Thanks ,we had a wonderful holiday here.

Lovely friendly hotel family run, staff lovely, 2 mins from beach rooms clean food good would have liked a little more variety. Definitely go back.

Lovely stay at matoula Beach Hotel. Staff are great, rooms clean and tidy. Bus takes you from the hotel into town for only 8 euros each, just book it at reception. Lots to do around the hotel. Not really for kids, but I would definitely recommend it for couples or families with older children.

A gem of a hotel which is also family run. Lovely spacious room and very helpful and accommodating staff in every area. Great location close to beach, windsurf place, local bus route, small water park and great restaurants and supermarket very close by. Sunset in the beach was fab. Breakfast was lovely, choice was great and food in the evening was varied and very tasty. Pool area was clean and always sun loungers available. Mocktails for the children were fab. Luggage room and late check out if required were available if room permitted for late check out for a small fee which was a bonus with late night flights. Spotlessly clean and lovely complex. staff are able to provide a wealth of information about the area. Air conditioning was a Godsend for the entire time we were there as so hot. Local restaurants Rosemary and Canton House served amazing food would recommend visiting them too. A lovely stay in a fantastic hotel

Booked as a late budget holiday but the hotel surpassed all expectations. Arrived at 11pm to the most welcoming chap on reception who bubbled with enthusiasm. Clean fresh reception area means a great first impression. The rooms are a good size and spotless. Beds a tad low but comfortable and air-conditioning is good. Maid cleans every day with fresh towels. Small TV but no English channels and poor reception anyway. We don't come me away to watch TV but if you do the WiFi is good enough to stream video. We had a room overlooking the pool and bar which is open until gone 12pm but it's a lovely quiet bar. Would say this isn't a party hotel but fabulous for a relaxing holiday. Pool is clean and plenty of sun beds. The hotel is directly under the inbound flight path and the jets do make some noise but qlwe enjoyed watching them and checking where they had come from. A few tavernas in walking distance and not far to but stop to get into Rhodes town. Hotel breakfast is good with hot food and cold and restaurant bright and inviting. The Geek night with BBQ is worth going to. What does make this place stand out is the staff. All really friendly and helpful keen to make your holiday go smoothly.
Happy to recommend the hotel and if I came back to Rhodes would use it again.

Spent a week in this hotel. Our family (2 adults, 8y and 10y old kids) vacation goal was to explore the island as much as possible (with car) - this hotel fitted our needs quite well.

It is small hotel, room was clean and big enough (family room with bunkbed).
Food was good quality and dinners varied daily. In fact our kids liked hotel food quite a lot (they are not fussy eaters).

Flights over hotel I would say are about same annoying as for all other hotels between Rhodes city and airport. Besides in night there is no landings.
If you goal is to stay in hotel entire vacation - I would consider some other, bigger hotels and you would have more option for vacation.
If you need "basecamp" for explorations - it works well.
So location point of view - do your homework.
There is some points to improve for sure. Like some TLC in room hardware. Maybe upgrade coffee machine and juice machine.
Also we would liked dinner to be a bit more late, so we would had more time to get back later :-)

An overall good experience and definitely value for money. Sure, some things could have been better, but nothing was a deal breaker.
Could do with more suitable music by the pool for the age group, another toaster and coffee machine at breakfast and more comfortable beds, but staff were all friendly and helpful (bar one) and location was great for us. Only major downside was regular low flying aircraft directly over the pool (during daytime only). Plenty of places to eat in the locality. Process are pretty good. Sunny's is much better value than the shop across the road. You will need water shoes if going into the sea as the beach is all large pebbles and there is no tide to speak of. €4 a day for a sunbed and umbrella at the beach. Had no insect bites in June 🙂
