Matoula Beach

Matoula Beach is a small hotel with a big heart. All the staff are polite, attentive, and make you feel extremely welcome. We stayed at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis, planning to eat out a lot, however the quality of food in the pool bar area was so good we didn’t need to, and the menu has an excellent selection of food that caters for all dietary requirements, including vegetarian dishes. We found that the prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food you received. There were never any issues getting a sun bed or a table at breakfast, which again was varied and of a good quality. The hotel also organises taxis for you if required, and you can also walk to either Kremasti or Ialyassos in about 30 to 40 mins. Only one negative and that was the sound proofing, in our room you could hear everything the room across and next door were doing, and I mean everything🫣. A very nice hotel staffed by wonderful people, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Lovely clean hotel staff brilliant. Food good but prices. Location not for us not much to do. Only a few shops and restaurants. Can order bus into Rhodes €8 do other trips to but with walking difficulties I could not do. Beach not far lovely walk and a few restaurants. Great to watch planes go over.

This is a lovely, family run, hotel. It's low rise, has lifts to upstairs rooms. Great breakfast, plenty of choice. Lovely pool area, the grass is looked after every day. We could not fault the staff, they really couldn't do enough for you. We had the best welcome ever when we arrived even though it was late, even kept the bar open for a late drink, thank you Costa. Some really good entertainment with Greek food on Greek night. The one thing I would point out, WHICH DID NOT BOTHER US, is that it's on the flight path to the airport, great for us as very short transfer time!! It's close to great eating places, all in walking distance and the stony beach is a short walk from the hotel. They also had a bus that collects from the hotel to go into Rhodes Town, only €8 return, it goes at different times during the day and you need to book. What a fantastic holiday, we will be back!!!!

A perfect location for our week in Rhodes. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We cannot fault a single thing. We stayed as bed and breakfast guests and the choice at breakfast time every day was vast and always fresh and beautifully presented. We were lucky enough to enjoy the last of the live music and Greek night before the end of the season and both evenings were fantastic. We loved the family feel at this family run hotel and the extra care given to ensure all guests had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The hotel is close to the beach and there is a nice selection of local restaurants which we were able to walk out and enjoy in the evenings. The Greek night on our last night was well organised and the selection of food at the buffet was delicious and closely monitored and replenished as needed by the attentive staff. One in particular stood out to us as always going the extra mile and giving each guest her time and attention and that was Elenor who worked as a waitress in the evenings. A fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

we've just come back from a fabulous holiday at Matoula beach hotel....it was our first time in Rhodes and we all loved it.... the hotel has a nice pool in lovely grounds...lots of space & greenery with a good pool bar and a good selection for lunch staff were all so friendly & helpful especially Elena who went out of her way to advise and serve us always with a lovely smile too the hotel is very clean and very comfortable and we liked the position very near Rhodes town and near a pretty shingle beach ....also has a few restaurants nearby we went to rosmarie one evening for nice cocktails and atmosphere the week flew by and we wished we had longer but definitely one to return to hopefully soon ...oh and the icing on the cake ..the sun shone every day thank you all at matoula beach for a great stay

We had the most wonderful 14 night stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for a quiet & relaxing get away. The staff are friendly & so helpful. The hotel is kept spotless & our room was cleaned daily by a wonderful lady called Esmerelda, what a gem she is. The food is so good & plentiful. No problem getting a sunbed at the pool, plenty to choose from & room for everyone. Can highly recommend this hotel, the service we received. from the moment we arrived at the reception to when we checked out, was lovely.

This hotel was everything I wanted from a vacation. Super friendly staff, good food and clean everywhere. A quiet place with everything you need nearby without traffic jams. I didn't face any problems during my vacation. The sound of airplanes didn't bother me, I slept well with earplugs in my ears. I will definitely come here again!

Outstanding Hotel with Friendly hard working staff who made you feel so welcome and treated myself and my wife with the utmost kindness and respect. They made our first visit to Creece very special. The Hotel was to a very high standard of cleanliness, the meals were of a very high standard and very varied. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We returned last week and are missing it already. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the staff are both friendly and efficient. The breakfast is of a good quality with plenty of choice and is always fresh The pool area is very chilled and the drinks and food at the pool bar are of a good quality. If a little pricier than nearby places. The area is our only slight negative. It is very quiet with only a handful of bars and restaurants. It is a 30 minute walk or short taxi ride to an area with far more to offer. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matoula beach and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

Had a wonderful 10 days at this idyllic hotel. It is quite small which adds to its charm and everything seems so calm and peaceful. There is no rush for breakfast, no rush for sun beds - there are always beds free all day, and the restaurant and bar are always open. What really impressed us was how clean the whole hotel is and how friendly and welcoming the staff are. If you want a relaxing holiday I would recommend this one!
