Best Hotels in Ialyssos

Rooms are a perfect size, bathroom has everything you needed as it has good quality shampoo/conditioner/body wash and lotion all included and the shower is excellent

The location is brilliant, next to the coastline and such warm weather. The staff are absolutely amazing throughout the whole resort, and the spa is excellent, so soothing and calming, do recommend it here

to be fair we found the buffet very good with a wide variety of choice (we only had one afternoon where we weren’t 100% satisfied) We stayed All inclusive option mainly because we took our little boy

Pools and pool bars and all pool staff👌🏻👌🏻 What they don’t tell you when you’re booking the holiday is if you’re not staying for more than seven days you can’t book any of the other restaurants so its buffet only

Proper coffee making facilities in the room and a fridge (extra to get anything in it though and a little over priced. Beds are very comfy and a choice of pillows

First Impressions & Location The hotel is in a good spot — right by the coast and just off the main high street, so shops, restaurants, and bus stops are all within easy walking distance

Staff & Service Reception staff could be a little frosty at times, but to be fair, they were helpful whenever we needed something. Everyone else around the hotel was lovely — cheerful, chatty, and always ready to help

The beach is a mix of pebbles and shingle and shelves steeply into the sea, so beach shoes are a good idea. Surfboards and bodyboards are available to hire from local vendors

The lifeguard was very friendly and there were inflatables and balls for the children to play with. The evening meals were good but unfortunately one aspect let it down

Honest Review: Blue Horizon Hotel, Ialysos, Rhodes (October 2025) My husband and I have just returned from a two-week stay at the Blue Horizon Hotel in Ialysos (mid-October 2025)

It’s a big place with a mix of rooms in the main building and bungalow-style accommodation in the gardens. Families with children are definitely made welcome here

The hotel is lovely with excellent staff. Breakfast was really good with so much choice. Great Margaritas at the pool bar and the main bar. Good food in the restaurants

We went bed and breakfast and I'd recommend that as the quality of the nearby restaurants was good, with reasonable prices. Breakfast was nice in the hotel

Just returned from a wonderful 10 night Premium All Inclusive break. As a couple we would have no hesitation returning to this hotel if we return to Rhodes

We visited in October and some of the loungers at the pool struggle to get the sun all day, but there were no issues getting loungers. The beach is nearby but didnt have a dedicated hotel area like some places

This is a nice clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The location is nice, with plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. It's also an easy 50 min walk to the old town along a coastal path

It's not in an area where there are lots of restaurants around. Those you can walk to were a Chinese, Indian and Korean BBQ. A few others in the other direction

All Inclusive hotel with very nice pool area, close to everywhere, the beach, the airport and Rhodes town. Close to the hotel is a lot of gift shops and a good, cheap car rental (Sky Rent a Car)

Some rooms are a bit outdated. The buffet restaurant (Dionyssos) has very good rotating menu

While the location was great, the room itself was dated. The mattress was in need of replacement, and the shower could use a thorough deep clean. Additionally, we encountered some pesky mosquitoes

We especially enjoyed the Greek yoghurt dips and the dessert section, which included delicious ice cream; we indulged in them every day! We stayed in room 105, situated in the first block

Breakfast was standard—similar to what you'd find in many hotels—but I would have loved to see more local fruits included. However, lunch and dinner were exceptional

If the pool feels too loud or crowded, you can simply step onto the beach, which is conveniently located next to it. The food overall was a highlight

Nice quiet location, reception staff are absolutely brilliant, so helpful and listen to everything you asked them

We love where the Hotel is positioned as it's easy to walk into lalysos and just a short taxi ride to town. The beach opposite is really good with toilets and a great beach cafe

Me and my wife to be absolutely love this place. Staff were very friendly, room was lovely, Pool was sensational Jeff. Food and drink were good value

Great big hotel, lovely large pools, staff are so friendly and helpful, staff are lovely people, Thomas a waiter is lovely such a kind, polite, friendly young man, food was very good and great price, not expensive

Unfortunately the evening entertainment is very quiet and lacking atmosphere unlike the first time we stayed here, (it really used to buzz) there is no Karaoke now and we have noticed the bar is less busy, when the acts are on you can hardly hear them and it just sounds like background music which doesn't seem to draw the guests the way it used to

The Junior Suite has a very good layout, which is better than most Sheraton hotels. The service is friendly and decent. The underground parking lot is convenient

Because of the shape of the hotel, it is necessary to change elevators, which is a disadvantage. The meals were fine with a not bad selection but they repeated themselves. it is a good hotel but not beyond that

I stayed at the hotel for three nights in the middle of September. The hotel is good but not beyond that. Located on the side of the island where the sea is not calm and not fun to swim in

The themed a la carte restaurant were a mixed bag with Greek and the bakery being amazing! Very good quality, freshly prepared. Italian restaurant was very basic and rushed and nothing about it felt Italian

Local wine and beer were fine. The best wine was in Greek restaurant. But try to book it in advance as it’s very popular and we managed to get a reservation only on our last night of a week stay

This was probably the best all inclusive we have ever been too for the food

There are 4 bars in this all inclusive hotel. The busiest one was at the pool area. Overall pool was very well set up! There were plenty of sun loungers and beds so you didn’t have to run and get a bed early

Whilst we were there, there were 4 couples in total and we saw one couple to get up and help themselves to the wine. The cocktails were a bit disappointing. They didn’t really taste like the name declared

The wine bar looked so beautiful from outside! We were expecting to try different type of local wines paired with food. What we received were the white and a rose and we had to ask to try the red

Breakfast was good, for dinner as a vegan, the overall experience was good, the manager showed me around the buffet on the first night, showed me what was suitable and said they could cook me something fresh if I didn't have enough options

Super friendly and helpful staff through out the hotel but especially at the beach bar where Michael makes the best cocktails ! That Ive ever had with a smile and a chat

All the pools were great, especially the adults only one, very comfy sun loungers and a few steps away from the beach! The location was good too, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, the hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to Rhodes town, or there is also a public bus stop 15 mins walk away

Fantastic Hotel, right on the beach, with great pools. Great relaxed vibe about the whole place

The food was fresh and tasty, however protein was lacking, it would have been nice to see more plant based protein options, even just legumes without added fish, cheese, etc

Overall clean, but there were some details that could be improved such as the rusty mirror, mould in the shower and the mattress was quite soft

This is not the best Rhodes has to offer however if you want to be near the airport for a quick transfer, you'd struggle to beat it. Blue Bay Resort is quite tired and in need of some modernisation and decoration

The sea bed becomes sandy when you swim out a way and even further out, it becomes more interesting with rocks below which makes for some good snorkelling (big crabs, eels and all sorts of fish) Main restaurant was very busy and food generally of average quality and often luke warm For us, the resort was a happy compromise because it suited our 7 and 10 year old kids and gave my wife and I some late...

This isn’t an expensive resort though, so I understand it isn’t going to be luxury dining. The only actual negative was our on-site restaurant meal. We chose Muses and unfortunately, it was pretty dreadful

Location was great too - easy busy into Rhodes Old Town and plenty of parking (we rented a car). Overall, very good holiday and would definitely return to this hotel

This hotel really positively surprised me. This was the first time I’d done an all inclusive so I was skeptical, however, I really can’t fault the hotel and I had a great week here

Plenty of room looked modern and the beds were really comfy. The facilities we good the snake bar and greek/Italian resturant were nice. The food in the main resturant was nice but felt a little repative

As promised, we moved into our superior room the next day, and as an apology for the inconvenience, the hotel offered us a complimentary fruit basket, a bottle of wine, and a half-day car rental free of charge

The view from the room was absolutely stunning — whether in the morning at sunrise, during the day, or in the evening. All rooms have a balcony, which makes it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery

We preferred the superior sea view room, which had been renovated. The only minor downside was that it had two single beds instead of one large bed for couples, but it wasn’t a big issue for us

This is a wonderful hotel on the beach. It us quiet , relaxing with lovely staff. The bungalows are light and spacious with a lovely terrace to sit in the evening to enjoy some Rodos wine.

Everything was excellent, moreover if compared with the cost. Best price/value never seen before. Good job!! A good variety an excellent quality. Buffet formula, excellent and smart

We arrived around 00:30 on the Wednesday night / Thursday morning and after a day of travelling we just wanted to get a good nights sleep however on our arrival there was no one on reception

There’s also a little bar/restaurant to the right literally next door called IDEAL that serves the best Mythos we’ve tasted

The rooms were cleaned daily and the maids were pleasant but if you’re looking for a bed around the pool where the daytime activities are then you’ll need to be down there by 6/7 am even though there are signs up telling you not to reserve beds by placing towels on them or they’ll be removed

There’s also a gap under the door so you can hear everything in the corridor too especially late revellers returning home after a night in Falaraki at 3am. They’re not fire doors so you’ll hear everything

Just remember every time you cross the road you’re taking your life into your hands. It’s SO busy and there are no crossings. Food was ok, again, not what I’d call 4* quality but it was decent enough

Very friendly staff everywhere. I especially want to highlight the bartender, who makes excellent cocktails – the balance of flavors and the presentation are wonderful! 2

Room was cleaned everyday with minimal effort, towels were changed(which was good!), we noticed that the sheets werent changed for atleast 4 days, which was probably because we didint tip, would have if there was effort

All inclusive was a surprise we didn't know about before arriving ;) Bus stop right next to hotel. Great, kind and helpful staff. Pool after long day of exploring town and hills is always great

Let's start with the good things! ### POSITIVE POINTS: The hotel is reasonably close to the airport, and we can easily take a direct bus there

Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Food is repetitive but delicious. Don’t let the 3 start put you off, before I arrived I read the reviews and was so worried. Here now and it’s such a lovely hotel

The owner/management seem to be really pleasant. The owner cannot speak as he has a condition so we have been told, there for this may be why other reviewers say he looks grumpy, he’s not I’m sure he’s a lovely man

Bartenders are lovely and so are the waitresses in the diner. Our room got cleaned daily & towel change daily, our bed even got stripped and re made with fresh bedding each day

Supermarket just next door and plenty bars/restaurants if you turn left or right from the hotel, also a bus stop just outside the Sheraton hotel, on the left of this hotel

There is no fighting for sun loungers as there are plenty of them, there are lounges on the beach just over the road that belong to the hotel (free of charge)

We saw cats in the hotel every single day :)) The staff are so kind and accommodating too, will definitely try and visit here again next year. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Ixia

Stayed here recently just for a week and found it to be a lovely hotel. We never got bored of the food as their was always plenty of choice

We were pleasantly surprised by this after a long day of travelling, and it was just a lovely gift from the staff for our anniversary/birthday. All the food and drinks are amazing

The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are absolutely fantastic, always helpful and friendly - especially Anita in the restaurant. Also really enjoyed the entertainment and dancing

Must mention the friendly comedy bird (crow?) who comes and hangs out in the sun lounger garden area behind the main pool and plays games like trying to steal your key card! What a character!

The hotel is very well equipped with all kinds of amenities, multiple stores, bars and restaurants that have very good selection and quality of food, the late night pancakes are perfect to end the day

This was a good holiday - which was SPOILT by sickness. SUNLOUNGERS are extremely hard to get as people wake up at 4 in the morning to claim them with towels. STAFF are nice and i had no bad encounters with them

The location of the hotel is very convenient for a walk to Rhodes and the private beach is clean and easily accessible - bring sea shoes as the beach has pebbles, or you can purchase them in the mini market in the hotel

The only small hiccup was that our "double bed" was actually two singles pushed together, which tended to drift apart during the night—not ideal for couples. Still, everything else more than made up for it

We were a group of 4 friends in our late 20s and Akti Imperial was perfect for us. Great cocktails, fun evening shows, and the beach bar had a really chill vibe

After breakfast each day we went to the main pool and although we were there quite early each morning, some towels had already been placed so the advice is if you want the best positions set up early if you want the main pool however beds were always available

The food was excellent, we went HB so breakfast and dinner were our options. Entertainment in the evening was a bit bland with the exception of “The 3 tenors” a trio of South African singers who were excellent

The staff were extremely friendly and the room cleanliness each day was spotless. This is an excellent hotel, I’m sure we will be back - thoroughly recommended
