Gaia Palace

The Gaia Palace is a lovely hotel one of three sister hotels in the same area, although we only went into the grounds of the other two, the Palace appeared to be the best, the grounds at the Palace are very nice and well kept. The public areas of the hotel are kept very clean. As we stayed towards the end of the season, the staff had really started to reduce, leaving two young people covering reception, they did not have a day off in the 10 days we were there, even though they were working long hours they they stayed really friendly and always helpful. All staff were polite. There is a bus from the hotel at 9.30 into Kos town each morning except Sunday. This is a good fly and flop hotel as long as you can put up with the food and drink. There is a car hire company in the hotel Reception area, although the young lady here was lovely and very helpful, you will find it is cheaper to book with the same company on line, we save €75 one a three day rental, we picked the car up from the office 5 minutes walk away and then left the keys with the hotel reception when we had finished with it. The hotel deserves 5 star review but due to the disappointing food and drink we had to only give it three.

Ok...first off, I wouldn't call this a family hotel per se. My 14 yr old Son and I arrived late, about midnight and you could hear party music banging out from the pool bar area. This music starts again first thing in the morning and continue through the day. That said, our room was near to the restaurant and pools so it may not be bad if you are further away. Staff are friendly enough but not imho, 5 star. Tennis court has cracks and ridges across it which could cause a trip. Food was very good though drinks on all inclusive weren't great! Although not the hotels fault, I had asked for twin beds and ended up with a double. Rooms are smaller than they looked in the photos when I booked the holiday. So, generally ok but certainly not a 5 star experience - hope that helps!

Lovely resort. We had to upgrade to super all inclusive which is a shame and we still didn’t have access to all drinks. For an extra 100 euro, it really wasn’t worth it at all. When we arrived the room was lovely however the sitcom was leaking so we boiled in the room on the first night until an engineer came the next day. The entertainment was almost non existent. The resort is so big you have to get a buggy almost everywhere. The buggies are nearly never available. The pool was lovely and the spar was great. However the water for the spar was freezing. The food was very repetitive however on 1 occasion they did do a really nice BBQ. I’d say the biggest let down was the entertainment. We could hear music from other hotels that sounded more fun. And because the resort is in the middle of nowhere, there’s barely anything that you can go do outside of the resort because nothing is in walking distance.
