Early April it was pretty quiet both at the hotel and in the area, which was nice. Service at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! Food at the restaurant was extremely good, highly recommend trying the a la carte

The swimming pool area was really nice with plenty of very comfortable sunbeds that had wheels at the back so were easy to move around. Strict hotel policy of not saving sunbeds early in the morning before 10 a

When we arrived we were met at the entrance and helped with our bags then given two bottles of cold water whilst we waited to be checked in; we were then briefly shown around and taken to our room

We had a lovely luxury room (522), with a seating area, which was frontline and had a wonderful view of the sea; this did however also mean it was frontline to the very busy road

We didn't ask to try and move rooms because we did love the sea view. Whilst we did get used to the road noise I have to be honest and say it did bother us

I'm sure in many parts of the hotel you would hardly be aware of it. Our bed was changed every few days and towels daily

This is a really beautiful resort! We went in the end of the season, few days before the hotel closure, yet they managed to provide the full experience! The room is specious, views are nice, very clean, pools are wonderful, but the only problem is that they were cold for October

The most special and amazing, was the food! We booked two meals, dinner and breakfast, both were great, amazing variety, delicious food and very tasty! Overall, I can easily recommend this hotel for families, friends or couples

We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago. Really good staff nothing too much trouble. Little shop on sight and jewellery shop. Good outside bars with snacks. Entertainment was a bit low key but quite pleasant x

The hotel is generally very good. Good food, good rooms, good pools, good position by the sea. Normally it would get four stars. What pushes it towards the fifth star for me personally is the guides

Specifically the one in charge of the activities called Katie. I've never been very interested in resort activities before but I thought I'd give it a shot this time

The hotel would not be what it is without every one of those people, and others I've not mentioned. I for sure will be coming again and other guests I've spoken to whilst I was there were very much of the same opinion

The ladies at the desk welcoming and informative with any questions you have, the cleaners that always have a smile and say hello. and how can I not give a special mention to some of the bar staff and serving staff

The food there, I'd say, is on par with most 4 star rated hotels. Good choice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And they do try to vary the menus day by day. The rooms are particular good I found

I have not long returned, and I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. The general layout of the hotel and the interior is quite simple, but it's nice, comfortable, and very clean

Spent 10 days at the hotel in September. Sadly we had to cut our holiday short by 4 days due to grandchild number 2 looking to escape early. Fantastic Greek food which for us was a massive bonus

Clean rooms, the food was very tasty, nice and helpful people working at the reception, at the pool and in the canteen area. The landscape around the hotel is also very beautiful

I would sincerely recommend this hotel to stay for people who don't mind a bit of a walk down the little hill to the main road(10min)

Absolutely awesome place. Very responsive and friendly staff. Varied cuisine. The sea is nearby, however, you need strong legs to climb from the sea to the central building :). I strongly recommend it.

Great accommodation, run by very friendly family and staff. Excellent facilities (pool, bar, breakfast and snacks, shower rooms on day of departure even!) in a hotel where you are recognised and your custom valued

My partner and i really enjoyed staying at Gianni's place. The room is really clean and spacious, just like in pictures. It has a nice balcony as well. It had everything we need for our mini vacation

We have stayed at Folia 3 times and are already looking forward to our next visit. If you aren't a fan of big, all inclusive type hotels you will not do better than Folia!

We lucked out and had the best view (in our opinion) during our stay! Would recommend as this accommodation does it best to make your stay as easy and chill as possible

Great place to stay,the room is not so fancy but it's well organize and tidy,we had a very nice view from the balcony and we love having our breakfast there

Very close to the sea, restaurants, and amenities. There is a very good, local supermarket five minutes walk away

It is decent, Many Cats, good swimming pool, horrible crickets, close to the beach, close to super market. Rooms are not the best. But price is good

There is a small bar in the hotel, which also serves food. Highly recommend their Greek pizza! Very nice bartender who always makes sure you get the best! Small pool, but there was never a shortage of space despite that

Very quiet area, but close to the main road where there are nice restaurants and shops if you want to cook in the apartment. Unfortunately the rooms are not well equipped with kitchen utensils

They are happy to help if, you want to go to sights or want to know about good restaurants. Good breakfast with everything from scrambled eggs to yoghurt

The best part for us is to paddle board all the way to the small island in the background! We had a free room upgrade, which was a such good surprise! Will definitely stay there again if visiting Crete again!

The hotel was so good. The staff were especially the best thing about the hotel because they were all very welcoming and we had a really good experience with everything in the hotel. All in all it was great.

Great service and we got upgrade with a front view sea! The room itself is well equipped and the big plus is how clean the beach is. Also you can do activities behind the hotel for a good price. Well done!

The beach is clean and very well organized and the drinks in the beach bar are very tasty. Room was nice and clean and the breakfast was huge and delicious

Not the most luxurious hotel, but the location and price is hard to beat. The rooms are fine, the staff very friendly and the breakfast adequate. So for a basic hotel this is the perfect choice

Air con works fine and a small fridge. Nice big mirrors and nice toilet/bathroom. The service is quite okay and they speak good English and are very polite. Breakfast is good with nice choices

Very nice location with the hotel AT the beach. You are at the pool and you can hear the ocean. The double rooms are nice and good size. Could maybe use an extra shelve, but it is very cozy

Very nice pool with a deep end (2,5+ meters). The water isn't full of chemicals and they have a good amount of sunbeds. We had no trouble getting one even at noon

Soft drinks are to the expensive side (2,10 euro for a 250ml pepsi), but at least it is very cold

The staff are all ridiculously friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was terrific and the view from our room was lovely. (We had room 6 which is supposedly the best one) Hope to visit again in the future

Remember we are in living in a world of technology and I am extremely disappointed with the outdated technology other than that a beautiful hotel and the pool is amazing with the view of the ocean 👍🏼

The location is great, you have a walking distance to everything you need (beach, supermarkets, restaurants, shops) Big and nice rooms with great balconys, the room had everything you need and were always very clean! I have a 1-year old and they put a very good bed/crib for my son in the room

The food and drinks in the bar was really good, especially the food (The beef stifado was 5/5!) There is nothing to complain about, I will definitly go back here and I already miss the staff and the hotel❤️ Thank you for this amazing week!

Me and a group of 17 people (5 kids) stayed here for a week. The staff and the family that owns this hotel were so friendly and so kind! We felt so welcome and at home

it was VERY hot in the room, but AC is available at 7. 5Euro extra cost pr day, we did that, and it was a life saver,

The large clean studios near the beach with the kitchen and a huge balcony. There is all that you may need, kitchen, coffee maker, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer, air conditioning, and also all infrastructure around

We spent four days in the hotel at the end of the season. Accomodations ware great, food is good and the stuff gave us a home like fealing. We rented the big room with jacuzzi and it was great

From the lady that checked us in and helped me with the birthday cake for my husband, the entire front desk , the breakfast team (I think the manager name is Nikólaos), the pool staff the Spa ladies really really did above and beyond in every aspect (I'm really sorry that I don't remember more names )!! The house keeping was top notch, out room was always spotlessly clean

The bed not too comfortable and the shower is quite weak and their old water tank still gives hot and cold water cycles. So your shower will constantly turn hot and cold which is pretty annoying

The cocktails in the pool were superb and we enjoyed them almost daily :) Now coming to the cherry on top, the staff in the hotel (wow!!!!) it made our stay !! Coming from the hospitality industry myself I sometimes tent to overlook things naturally, but I really have nothing simply nothing to improve here

Nice hotel in Platanias, very close to the beach. The restaurant is next to the beach, you can also overlook the Playground for the kids. There is a great "greek night" with dinner and show once a week

Drinks in the hotel bar are way overpriced paid 8€ for a cocktail that was served in a juice cup and was less than half full! In saying that accommodation is adequate, location is good as it's close to everything and bus service to Chania is brilliant at 2
