2 star hotels in Malia

I like that Nikos Hotel is not in the centre so it's quite (besides Mondays when you may expect big techno party just opposite site). I dont like the fact that pool at the bar is closed at 7pm, this is big disadventage that is why 4 stars. Towers changed once a week, breakfast the same every day but in principle good when you take a look at the price.

Rooms very clean, great staff, room doesn t have tv and you have to pay for aircon, cleaning is rare

Four of us spent a week here in mid May 2025. It is so lovely and quiet. Aris, Eleni & Dimitri are good hosts and very welcoming. It's a short walk to the Old Town restaurants, near the shops and bars, but quiet and relaxing. The views to the mountains are wonderful. If you have transport, try out the Kritsa Gorge, the fish restaurants at Milatos and the pretty beach at Potamos. Nice bar and food...

A very nice studio apartment. Recently renovated to a high standard. A large triple bed room, a very good air con unit and a basic kitchen area good enough for your basic self catering requirements. The room was light and airy. The proprietors were nice and helpful especially the old chap and the younger son. We didnt use the facilities as we prefer the beach, but the pool looked good.

We had a great stay, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. The pool area was lovely with a view of the mountains. Location was perfect as it wasn’t directly next to the clubs but still within walking distance.

Each room has its own balcony, rooms with a different number of beds, the linen is always clean. Responsive hosts. The hotel is located in the center of Malia, very convenient if you want to have access to bars and restaurants day and night, there is a 24 hour shop nearby.

The cutest place in Malia. Stefan is a sympathetic and kind owner, Arthur (the dog) knows a lot about meeting guests.

To sleep and take a shower, norms! There is a kettle on the second floor, everything is paid ... conder day 5 euros refrigerator 5 euros a day!

Hotel rating is fully adequated. Rooms have no furniture for clothes, water is heated by solar power so after sunset hot water suply is problematic. Poor wifi outside often does not work althought signal strength is good. Super nice host Niko, great info and help when needed very friendly. Everything is clean it's no hotel so no coffee tea etc in the room but its a studio so there is cooking equipment and fridge etc. Just go out and get a coffe around the corner :) Room cleaned everyday when hanger put on door.

When I arrived late at night I must of looked slightly disappointed… The hotel seemed very old fashioned and needed a lick of paint and a couple of upgrades. After waking up to the sound of the sea, and the beautiful smiles of the fantastic family and staff who run this friendly hotel. I don't understand why this hotel has so many dodgy reviews. It is a lovely hotel and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Maid service daily and it is located right in the middle of everything and on the beach. Lovely pool and not very busy so you can always get a sunbed and enjoy a dip. Good place for a couple of days or a week. Decent accomodation. If you choose breakfast you get a decent meal în the morning. The owner of the hotel is nice and can give you advices. However there is room for improvement which would definitely help. Things to improve: insect net in room window against mosquitos and better internet infrastructure.

Clean, beautiful, sadly no safe in room and not allowed to flush used toilet paper down the toilet. But there is fridge in room, water heater, weight scale, sewing kit, hair dryer, tv, air conditioning, telephone, even table for ironing, mosquito repellent, fast Wi-Fi huge shower... Be careful you can lock the keys in the room if you close doors with keys in room.

I've been staying here for two days now and its pretty ok, i complaint i have though, is the fact that in order to turn on the AC, you have to pay the ridiculous price of 45€. This was a great hotel. Great location. Comfortable beds spotless clean rooms. The grounds and gardens were clean and tidy and the staff were very nice. I must point out that when you get dropped off at the church at the top of the road you have to walk about 5-10 minutes down the road as the roads to tight for the big busses.

Hospitality was brilliant. Facilities are excellent and every thing was super clean. The water sports were a great laugh. Would definitely come again. Lots of family activities to do and is great for a young family.All around a very enjoyable experience.

We were at Villa Malia for 12 days and had a room on the poolside. The room was renovated and looked really modern with a very comfortable shower. Every day our room got cleaned, which was really nice. Breakfast was included with more than enough options each day with fresh fruit. Nice, clean and new rooms, the cocktail lounge is not open and that's a disappointment. For the rest a good place to stay.

Very nice, recently renovated rooms. Super friendly staff and very nice cocktail bar/lounge. Swimmingpool is big enough, and sunbeds are for free. Our airconditioning did not work properly, so we mentioned this in the morning and within one hour there were two mechanics fixing the issue. They came even back to check if it was still working. Definitely recommended!
