We spend a week there in early August. One of the best stays we ever had. We had to change rooms and they were really nice and professional about it. The staff is very good, the atmosphere amazing. It's a great place if you want to relax. Nothing to see around it but we just stayed at the beach or the pools, the hotel is interesting enough :)

A Perfect spa experience for the end of my Trip. I felt very much taken care of, especially by my spa therapist Maria Tha. She was kind and very meticulous with the treatment. I would recommend her for the Cretan massage. She did it wonderfully.

Very nice looking hotel with poor service levels. More of a 4*, not 5*. Messed up our reservations, tried to overcharge us, also made lots of small mistakes, and were not very apologetic, even the manager. We recently just stayed at Matheo for a week in May and honestly we cannot fault it. On arrival they kindly upgraded our room to the suite and it was beautiful. Excellent family hotel in Crete! We are currently on our 2nd visit , we couldn't fault either stay. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. A great, clean hotel with great staff and a good range of facilities. My particular favourite is yoga/meditation followed by a Greek coffee or home made iced tea (really is at slightly different each day) the animation team have been really good. Although all inclusive it is worth while taking a 10-12 euro taxi into a village to seek out Cretan food, often with a stunning view.

For 50 euro all inclusive is a good deal. Food is okay, free beer and drinks made of local gin and vodka. Pool water is cold, but sunshine all day long to the pool area. Parking place next to the hotel available.

Went to this resort previous to covid with my other half and loved it, so we thought we would return with our baby. Staff are excellent and friendly. Had a really good time and the hotel was really good. Rooms were clean. Shower needed new sealant. Service was pretty good, and ate my own body weight in food which is a good guage of its quality. Just missing the finer points to be a 5 star. More like 3.5 to 4 star, definitely not 5 star. Would recommend it though for those wanting a quiet resort.
