Hotels on first line in Malia

Hotel has it's own beach and nice pools, but the rest (Room, Fitness, etc. Wellness services are offered by an external supplier with an very good quality (well, price. ) but limited to various massages (recommended!)

Excellent place to stay . Food is great , location right on the beach and staff brilliant

Beautiful resort in a beautiful location, however, few things are missing to give it a full score. The hotel offers great views at the mountains on one side and the open sea on the other

Omg,this place is a dream come true,lovely beach,lovely and spacious hotel rooms,i loved the mini golf course,the tennis court , i loved the staff so friendly and lovely

It has its own sun beds on the beach for its guest, and there is usually no problem to find a spot there

We spent a week at Kernos Beach Hotel in Crete. The hotel is nice and updated, spacious rooms and a really nice atmosphere. The beach is spacious too, not too full with sunbeds

The spa is very fun; they let you bargain as part of the daily deal, which is an experience in itself. However, the service there is also five-star. There is even tennis available. The tennis coach is a really cool guy

We spend a week there in early August. One of the best stays we ever had. We had to change rooms and they were really nice and professional about it. The staff is very good, the atmosphere amazing

It's a great place if you want to relax. Nothing to see around it but we just stayed at the beach or the pools, the hotel is interesting enough :)

Loved my treatments at this spa. Ioanna was fabulous in every way possible - i felt very comfortable throughout my whole experience. Would highly recommend to anyone!😊

Hotel is right on the sandy beach, yet also in city of Malia. The beach itself is nice and clean, and there is very nice swim out to a small beautiful islet. Sun ubrellas are pre-booked for certain rooms types

During my stay at High Beach, I was truly impressed by Lia Captain! She welcomes everyone with a warm smile and treats all guests with kindness and respect

Every meal was a real pleasure, starting with generous breakfasts that featured local specialties and moving on to satisfying dinners where both local and international dishes were always well-prepared

Shops, cozy tavernas, and everything else you might need are within easy reach, and yet the hotel itself feels like a peaceful retreat away from the crowds

She talks to everyone in such a friendly and positive way, and whenever someone gives her feedback, she listens carefully and accepts it with an open mind

A special mention goes to the amazing Maître Anthony, who, throughout the week and for all three meals of the day, helped me always with a smile to find what I could eat, as I am celiac

The restaurant offers delicious food, everything is clean, and it's especially pleasant to dine outdoors. There is plenty of variety, so it's impossible not to find something you like

Stayed here twice bit pricey but well worth it, has a fantastic swimming pool and has easy access to the beach, also has sunbeds to hire

Just got a couple of negative points: - No music at the bar pool - not expensive but you have to pay the sunbed - we had booked a superior double room, On arrival we were shown the room we had booked (twin bed simple room)

Fantastic pool area with very friendly staff and good food. Direct access to the beach from pool area as well. Breakfast was not of similar quality though. Also, the hotel coffee was undrinkable

The absolute top thing about this hotel is the beachfront location (deluxe room felt like we're almost on the sea) and the actual area that is taken care off and kept clean exceptionally.

Very nice hotel with feiendly stuff, great beach and always fresh food. Perfect for older people. Calm place.

Watch out for two great guys who work there, Armando who does the sun loungers and Tonin one of the waiters really nice guy both have work here for a good few years now always lovely to see them

It's a 15-20 minute walk to the beaches, and about the same distance to grocery stores, just in the other direction. The lack of sidewalks on the road was a problem for us since we were with children

2 swimming pools both good the one closest to bar on the right is most quiet but very deep at 3 metres. Area is good with a tavern and few restaurants around

The rooms are basic, but we're comfortable enough for our 10 day stay- and most people don't spend that much time in their rooms on holiday, surely just a place to change and sleep? We were self catering and managed to make some meals on nights we didn't want to go out toneat- there is enough room on the balcony for a table for 4 and we had our meal out there before heading off out

We stayed here across the end of July and into August and had a lovely holiday! Like others, I was nervous due to some negative reviews, but these are definitely put on by exactly the type of people that would otherwise ruin a holiday for everyone due to their own selfish behaviour

Quite bright at night with the emergency exit sign. Shower is bad as the curtain sticks to you and in my room unable to hang shower due to the curtain pulling it off the hook

Bar staff very friendly and waiters and waitresses very kind. 2 brothers are present and kind. Rooms are very basic but have nice tvs and standard beds which are a bit hard

The hotel is very nice and recommendable, not too big and a well-kept complex. The service is great, Maria Brazil and her colleagues are very friendly. A few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is fantastic too

They are friendly, attentive, and always have an open ear. We particularly want to mention Maria from the reception. She welcomed us warmly, is professional, and a wonderful person

There are no regular restaurants around the hotel that can meet the quality of food presented here! The employees are all so friendly and kind, giving you the best service and completing the whole holiday experience at the Kalypso hotel!!! We will return here again and can recommend it without any doubts…

The Kalypso in Malia - Crete is a little gem. The hotel is quietly located and the city center (party mile) can be reached in just a 15-minute walk

We stayed there as a couple and were completely satisfied. It was our second time, and we’ll definitely be coming back! The hotel is great, and the value for money is absolutely right

Hotel is a short 10 minutes walk from a grossly overpacked beach at the entrance area because all the resort hotels put their sunbeds right down to the sealine (which is illegal in Greece)

We rested in this hotel with a group and everyone was very satisfied. The beach is close and sandy, the swimming pool is ok for refreshing. The food and service are very good. There were also live performers a few times

But a 5 minute walk further up the clean beach was plenty of free sand and sea areas. Everything in Malia including restaurants, supermarkets, bars and souvenir shops were only a short walk from this hotel

Sunbeds always available at the pol and no towel wars. Swimming pool was never crowded, was clean and close to the bar/restaurant. Food was great and buffet breakfast is more than enough for all

The hotel itself is very clean, with good size pools and plenty of sunbeds (with a strict "no reserving sunbeds" policy). It's perfectly located next to the beach which again, was very quiet at this time of year

Be prepared to pay extra for sunbeds on the beach, although we didn't bother - the sand was perfectly comfortable

A big shout out for the young lady with the long black hair that served behind the pool bar, she was very caring, kind and respectful to us two pensioners. Meal times were good and a great selection every day

We stayed at this hotel in the penultimate week of the season so had the benefit of great weather at a quieter time

The only things I would question is having one person behind the main bar and some times no glasses ( disposable plastic cups) error no and a two drink limit ( Not good if your a family of 4 , join the queue again !! Pool bar great and unlimited snacks of good quality, if your expecting softdrinks or mixers to taste anywhere close

The highlights for me were the clean room upon arrival, the pool being stunning, the walk to Malia beach being about 200 m from the hotel and the friendly staff! When I was leaving the front staff gave me directions to the bus I needed for the airport and that was very helpful! Forgot to mention the food was amazing too

The hotel is in the perfect location - right on top of the strip and under the old town so, everything is in walking distance. It is less than 10min walk to the nearest beach and there is a big supermarket right in front

The rooms facing the street are not great. The beds are very old and small, and you can hear the noise from the street

Luckily, the staff was very friendly and helpful (family-run) and they moved us to another room, overlooking the pool. It was much better - modern beds and no noise at all

We really enjoyed our stay at the Malia Holidays Hotel, the staff were all amazing eager to help, very friendly and polite! From the beautiful gardens, very clean swimming pool and bar to the quality of food, drinks and services all top tier! Really enjoyed our breakfast every morning with plenty of food to choose from

Had a nice 3 day stay at Icandy Sol. Owner is very friendly and helpful. My room was good value for money, and had everything I needed. The pool area, although small, is nice if you want to relax and cool down a bit

Supermarket is around the corner and the beach is very easy to reach with a little walk. The rooms are very nice and very clean! And there is a good breakfast with a nice variation

About 20 steps from the hotel you’re on the main road with all the restaurants and bars and supermarkets. It’s about 10 minutes walk to the beach. I would 100% recommend this hotel. See you soon in May can’t wait

My room was always nice and clean and the location is ideal as it is right next to all the shops, pubs and restaurants with only a 10 minute walk to the beach. I will definitely be back again!

A good hotel with very good hosts! Close to the old village of Malia and also close to the sea!!! Clean place and very friendly service! Definitely worth its price and value!!

The fence provides privacy from people walking on the street. It is a small walk (1km) to the beach, but its close to the old town if you want a more authentic greek dinner

The hotel itself was clean and inviting, with a great atmosphere throughout. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided – including ones for the sunbeds, which was a bonus

The pool area was perfect for relaxing during the day, and the on-site food and drinks were great quality and fairly priced

Bright, clean, spacious, and cleaned every day by the hard working cleaning crew ladies. The pool area is clean, great sun beds, never had trouble finding a bed, The deep end of the pool is VERY deep

Supermarket with bakery less that a 5 minute walk, with the beach and beach bars another 2 minutes away. Loads of Tavernas left and right of the supermarket and bakery. Its a straight road either way

Most guests were families with young children and couples. Rooms were clean, however wifi had poor signal (better by the pool), and we often saw ants if the patio/balcony door was left open

On our last day, there was some younger male groups who were bombing into the pool and splashing everyone, to which staff told them off. This is not the hotel for that

The terrace with the pool and bar has amazing views of the ocean and mountains, the food’s great, heaps good, just stay here

FABULOUS family run boutique hotel right on the beach, 10min walk to the center of Malia

There is a sandy swimming beach a few meters from the hotel. Beautiful clean swimming pool in the hotel area which faces the sea. Tula was amazing organising a taxi transfer for us to and from the airport

We had an amazing suite with sea view and whirlpool on our private terrace, coffee machine & fridge, modern & stylish design, very comfy beds & pillows (which is rare!) and blackout curtains

This a good little hotel, not a tourist factory with thousands people. The team and management are very nice and provide good service. Swimming pool is very pleasant without any chemical products but very clean

I stayed 15 days in this hotel and I greatly appreciated the welcome, the smiles. The swimming pool is very pleasant, close to everything, I highly recommend it, far from hotels where there are 1500 people

Sun beds around the pool are various, you have some with Umbrella, other without if you want sun, some have mattress, other just to stay after swimming. There is a correct AC and WIFI

The appartment is simple but usefull. We had Seaview and mountainvieuw. The location is wright near the beach and at 400m near the city centre. Bars, restaurants, supermartkets, car location all at walking distance

We visited for the day to use the sun loungers on the beach. Sun loungers were €12 for two plus parasol. Great quality loungers and luxurious thick and comfy mattresses. Quiet side of Malia beach and great spot

I had a really nice time here, rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom was really modern. I had a view over the pool and the nice blue sea. The people that worked there are really nice and helpful

I haven't stayed in a hotel but I've spent two very nice days on the beach. Sunbeds are for very reasonable price (normal 6€ per set, more comfy one 10€ per set)

This self catering hotel suited us perfectly as it had a great pool which was not busy and it was only a few steps down onto the sandy beach

Not a luxury Hotel but being operated by a family and therefore with true passion and love makes it nearly perfect. Yes the Rooms are dated, but clean. Aircondition works and it is directly at the beach

Great Place, excellent rooms, quite a good service and tasty food! The approach of the hotel to the menu is unusual as if you have all inclusive, you still have to pay for the beverages and getting a glass of water or a coffee is quite expensive, so we had to have parties separately in our rooms… however the location is great and my family enjoyed swimming in the sea 🌊 and Greece 🇬🇷 is proudly Orthodox...

So many facilities and everything is absolutely spotless. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. The breakfast is probably the best I’ve ever had in a hotel

• The pool chair system was inconvenient, and you had to act quickly to get one. • The Wednesday Greek Grill show cost nearly €30 per person, even though the stay was already expensive

Location is brilliant too and loads of restaurants nearby that serve great food

Unfortunately, this hotel didn’t quite live up to expectations

Housekeeping was hit-or-miss (our bin full of baby diapers wasn’t emptied even after asking at reception), the “double bed” was just two singles drifting apart, and the baby cot came with a folded adult sheet that turned into a nightly wrestling match
