Our children took advantage of the interactive games that were organized almost every day. The food was good and the service impeccable

Mike and David entertained us all at night with the mini disco, the quizes and the dances, and we can only imagine how great it must be when Weather permits to do it all’ outdoors or longer into the night! You can tell when people love what they do and Mike was a great example of passion, skills and leadership

The hotel has many swimming pools, especially for adults, but it also has 3 swimming pools for children

But what stood out most, were the staff! At breakfast, Maria and Sofia would always greet us with a warm smile and such genuine hospitality - they truly started our day off right! For lunch, we were served by Evalina and Aida - who were so incredibly kind, helpful, and generous to us and our little boys

one for children/babies 2 - 3 years old which is covered with a tarpaulin to create shade and be able to take advantage of it at any time of the day. and the other 2 are right next to the adult one

The service everywhere was courteous and friendly (cleaning, maintenance, reception staff and restaurant staff). We had an excellent service experience at the food and dining service through our stay

The spa is very fun; they let you bargain as part of the daily deal, which is an experience in itself. However, the service there is also five-star. There is even tennis available. The tennis coach is a really cool guy

We spend a week there in early August. One of the best stays we ever had. We had to change rooms and they were really nice and professional about it. The staff is very good, the atmosphere amazing

It's a great place if you want to relax. Nothing to see around it but we just stayed at the beach or the pools, the hotel is interesting enough :)

We were on vacation as a group – the resort is beautiful and the location is perfect. The pools and the beach are just perfect

Incredible food, we tried every restaurant and particularly enjoyed the Cretan one. The staff were so lovely and friendly. One thing for future travellers to be aware of – it's a VERY family-friendly hotel

I'd say it is a family hotel first and foremost, honestly. We were one of the only parties there without children. But, the children were all pretty well behaved and it certainly didn't spoil our stay

Only downside for us was that the quieter River pool, with signs asking children not to play or be loud and so was more adult-only, only had poolside beds dedicated for particular bungalows/rooms

This was a bit frustrating when the main pool was full of kids having fun, and the river pool was beautifully quiet and peaceful. We could still use that pool, but we couldn't relax by it

My top tip would be that the best sun loungers by the main pool are by far the orange beds, they have shade you can move around and aren't on the grass which can become muddy

My partner and I came to Crete for 10 days in September, and stayed at Cretan Malia Park. We had a wonderful time – the room was beautiful and the whole resort was gorgeous

The service is at a good level, very friendly people at the reception. I hope to come here again or send my parents)

Excellent place to stay . Food is great , location right on the beach and staff brilliant

The sea is shallow, you can reach the bottom almost to the buoys. Most of the time there are waves because of the constant wind, which are kind of fun

The room was a bit small, no coffee service in the room. Booked the Superior Bungalow Sea View - we were pretty far back from the ocean

We loved our stay, the hotel is very quiet, the location is perfect. You can admire the sunset while you eat. The staff is very nice, especially the restaurant's chef ! I highly recommand !

If you want to enjoy your holiday Solimar Ruby is a very good choice. I love this place- close to the beach, close to The city center. Amazing staff, nice rooms, everything is clean, big pool, tasty food

The hotel has a very nice pool area (2), excellent buffet style dining with food to suit all tastes and the seafront is a short walk (5mins) from the hotel

The food was lovely, and differentiated every day so you got to experience plenty of the Greek cuisine, however there was still plenty of food who preferred the original "spaghetti" or the likes

The pool is large , the choice of food is great. You have to walk for 15-20 minutes, no problem for us. But we took the ATV and drove to the beach, 4 km from the hotel, there is steeper

During our last minutes in the hotel we've left mobile phone, they didnt make any problems with sending it back to our home. Hotel staff is generaly very kind

My partner and I cannot recommend the hotel staff enough who were prepared to go above and beyond what was required to ensure our stay was enjoyable

We stayed in a two-bedroom villa with a sea view, two couples, for the second time. The service at the hotel is perfect, the staff is courteous and responds to every request with a smile and kindness

The villa was well-maintained and beautifully equipped, with a private pool and breathtaking views of the sea and mountains

And the Taxi from Malia is 10 Euros each way (4 minute drive lol), which is obviously not the real price, but for Westerners, the least we can do is help out the economy a little, so I didn't complain about that personally

The woman whom I forgot the name of, and sorry for getting it wrong, but I think she was Eastern European or Russian, was extremely classy, and informative, she went above and beyond for my family and always helped in any way that we needed

Secondly, because we checked in very late, they left us each a bottle of wine, with food and salad. And not going to lie, that was a highlight for me. I personally poured that wine down at 3AM, and dipped into the pool

The villa is well-equipped, clean and simply perfect. The location of the hotel is truly dreamy, located on the mountain, with a simply stunning view, and is close to all the main places

There is someone at the front desk 24/7, which made us feel safe. The gardens were full of flowers and trees — a small paradise. The pool was crystal clear, with an incredible pool bar

Old Malia town is across the road and so are the restaurants, whilst the ‘strip’ is a few minutes in the other direction- the rooms are quiet at night. Easy access to the bus stop to Heraklion and Ag Nik

It was one of the best 10-day vacations we've ever had with my partner. The rooms were beautiful, the housekeeping staff came in every day, and everything was spotless

The cocktails were amazing, and there was a wide variety to choose from. The hotel’s location is right in the heart of the city — everything is close by

Breakfast had plenty of options, the coffee was excellent, and the service from the girls working there was amazing. They had an answer to all our questions and helped us a lot

We recently just stayed at Matheo for a week in May and honestly we cannot fault it. On arrival they kindly upgraded our room to the suite and it was beautiful. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating

One particular incident really stood out: I accidentally knocked over a glass by the pool—an honest mistake—and was immediately charged for it without so much as a conversation or warning. No understanding, just a bill

What a wonderful hotel to enjoy a late 60th birthday present. The minute you walk through the door to be met with the warmest of welcomes, a truly great experience starts

The rooms are very hygienic that are continuously cleaned by the cleaners who are all very kind people and you are accompanied with your own private balcony that has a seating area and a lot more out door space

Rooms: clean, refreshed daily, basic furnishings. Breakfast: something different every day, although similar. Choice of tea, coffee, juice and water. Very nice lady serving the kitchen

Location: close to the center of town, about 20 minutes walk to the beach, the same amount to the mountains. Lots of grocery and souvenir stores, restaurants and bars. Service: very nice, helpful, doing a great job

Parking just In front of the hotel in public parking. Rooms clean, cleaned out every day. The pool is just perfect for an after beach relax or upon a windy day. Malia old town is a must and it is just 5min walking

I’ve been to some hotels but this hotel is the absolute best! 100% recommend going all inclusive as food is amazing and the bar is full of different choices to drink (Try raki, vodka and lemonade from there)

We spent a week on Crete and the hotel was a good choice, close to all important amenities and entertainment hubs, but far enough to not be bothered by the noise

The sea next to the hotel is lovely- but very rocky. The soft drinks at the hotel are not great but there is a shop directly opposite the hotel for a proper, branded soft drink. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

Chef Yannis prepared some gluten-free sweets every single day especially for us and the other chef has prepared the best gluten-free pizza I've ever had. Different food every day and very nice and friendly staff

Friendly, hard working and very attentive I highly recommend this hotel A little disappointing that the pool was closed every day at 6pm and the plastic mugs for cold drinks made it feel a little like a nursery

The rooms were clean, air conditioned and cleaned every day and the hotel areas seem to be well-maintained. The pool area would very quickly get busy - so we didn't spend too much time around the pool

They always had a smile for us and were very welcoming- They made all the difference to our stay! The food was authentic Greek, delicious and varied

Crete is beautiful and the hotel is in a good location to access Malia town. Also, good access Chersonissos and Heraklion with regular bus services

5 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the old town, perfect location and a great base from which to explore the island. Can't wait to come back next year

This hotel is good if you want to explore malia and use the hotel for small breaks in your room or by the pool. If you want to just stay in the hotel, i would maybe recommend somewhere else😊

Luckily there are many amazing and affordable resturants nearby. The hotel is not very modern for its looks but does its job(nothing to complain about really)

Back in September 2024, we stayed in this hotel for our lads holiday, and it was a lovely, relaxing and atmospheric experience. Firstly, everything was absolutely fantastic, the buffet breakfast was delicious

The location of the hotel is brilliant, everything was within walking distance, especially all the beaches, the Malia strip, there’s plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, there’s also plenty of places to book excursions in too

There are plenty of local buses which you can book with your excursions, depending on where you are going. We went off peak in September and it was relatively quiet and we enjoyed everything

Those Madeira cakes are to die for! The hotel was stunning and the overall design and layout was amazing. The room was very comfortable and the sizes of the room were brilliant

It is close to many amenities such as bars and clubs while also close to the older part of Malia where there are a number of restaurants serving local fare

I must point out that when you get dropped off at the church at the top of the road you have to walk about 5-10 minutes down the road as the roads to tight for the big busses

Rooms are very clean, personel are nice and food is so tasty. It is not big hotel so everything like restaurant, pools and beach is near (max. I really enjoyed my time there but there is one thing that I didn't like

Very decent hotel; some rooms/apartments are better than others. Our hotel room (main building) was a bit small/dated. Nothing like the pictures :) Also bathroom was old. Safe for valuables costs EUR 4 per day

that’s really beyond what you would expect from a place like this! Especially since it’s ALL inclusive. apparently that doesn’t apply to the safe. Would have loved to see a coffee maker in the room

Pools were really nice; plenty of space, also the beach side is perfect. Very close, plenty of beds, bar right next to the beach - perfect

In my opinion entertainment team should speak, explain rules and make announcements also in english so everybody can understand. FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT SPEAK GERMAN IT IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!

This is an amazing boutique hotel. Right on the water, best sandy beach, amazing service, clean rooms, and great accommodations. I would strongly advise staying here!

Hotel is right on the sandy beach, yet also in city of Malia. The beach itself is nice and clean, and there is very nice swim out to a small beautiful islet. Sun ubrellas are pre-booked for certain rooms types

The resort had a relaxing and friendly atmosphere throughout. The staff were always welcoming and helpful, and the overall vibe made it easy to unwind

She talks to everyone in such a friendly and positive way, and whenever someone gives her feedback, she listens carefully and accepts it with an open mind

Everything was great, extremely clean hotel, the staff very friendly and food was delicious, dinners were with different type of food

The absolute top thing about this hotel is the beachfront location (deluxe room felt like we're almost on the sea) and the actual area that is taken care off and kept clean exceptionally.

Watch out for two great guys who work there, Armando who does the sun loungers and Tonin one of the waiters really nice guy both have work here for a good few years now always lovely to see them

Stayed here twice bit pricey but well worth it, has a fantastic swimming pool and has easy access to the beach, also has sunbeds to hire

Just got a couple of negative points: - No music at the bar pool - not expensive but you have to pay the sunbed - we had booked a superior double room, On arrival we were shown the room we had booked (twin bed simple room)

Fantastic pool area with very friendly staff and good food. Direct access to the beach from pool area as well. Breakfast was not of similar quality though. Also, the hotel coffee was undrinkable

The hotel is very nice and recommendable, not too big and a well-kept complex. The service is great, Maria Brazil and her colleagues are very friendly. A few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is fantastic too

There are no regular restaurants around the hotel that can meet the quality of food presented here! The employees are all so friendly and kind, giving you the best service and completing the whole holiday experience at the Kalypso hotel!!! We will return here again and can recommend it without any doubts…

The Kalypso in Malia - Crete is a little gem. The hotel is quietly located and the city center (party mile) can be reached in just a 15-minute walk

The rooms are basic, but we're comfortable enough for our 10 day stay- and most people don't spend that much time in their rooms on holiday, surely just a place to change and sleep? We were self catering and managed to make some meals on nights we didn't want to go out toneat- there is enough room on the balcony for a table for 4 and we had our meal out there before heading off out

We stayed here across the end of July and into August and had a lovely holiday! Like others, I was nervous due to some negative reviews, but these are definitely put on by exactly the type of people that would otherwise ruin a holiday for everyone due to their own selfish behaviour

Cleaners came in every other day without fault and emptied bins, changed bed linen and towels and swept and mopped- no complaints at all there! The pool area was great- two pools, one a little livelier than the other with music being played, but not too loud

This is a budget friendly hotel, and designed to meet the needs of an many people as possible, so there was a blend of young adults, families with small kids, families with teens and older couples and everyone co existed well with each other

Potamos beach was about a 15 minutes walk in the opposite direction to town, and this beach was glorious and not right near the Malia ***** if you want to avoid the younger crowd- not that there were any issues anyway

Some days but the pool were busier than others, and yes there are groups of younger guests destined for the nightlife, but we found them to be absolutely fine, just trying to have a good time with their mates

Luxury suites directly on the beach. The summer breeze is keeping us totally relaxed. Very clean and very luxus rooms while the service team is Very friendly. Superior service from breakfast to dinner

What a beautiful resort and what a nice people. Especially Didi she is very friendly always joyful. She represent a very nice wellness. Also the staff in the wellness is very professional

The furnishings are modern and very clean. There are loungers available for each room on the beach. The two restaurants are well run and the food is delicious and varied

Amazing staff and great location. Lots of shops 5 minutes away, beach not far either however I visited others that were about 10 minutes drive. Hotel is very youth oriented so can get a bit noisy

English Breakfast which was included is not the best v limited and is the same everyday, not bad for one day but then becomes boring. The cleaning of the studio could be better but it was ok

the security were sound, but did walk in on me at a bad time😳 the drinks were a good price aswell as the food. the pool had a great atmosphere and everyone loved me and my mates tricks

Best hotel ever! Staff are super friendly and always go the extra mile to make sure you’re having a comfortable stay! Hotel rooms are clean and beds are comfy.

Cleaners changed towels every 2 days, emptied the bins and made the bed. TV not great only 3 channels but again if you are on holiday one wants to sightseeing. Wi-Fi and Air con charged locally and quite pricey

Nothing is too much for them to assist with. Every Saturday night they host their Greek family BBQ, all you can eat traditional Greek food, music, traditional Greek dancing, it's a must for anyone staying at Aegean Sky
