Best Hotels in Malia

We spend a week there in early August. One of the best stays we ever had. We had to change rooms and they were really nice and professional about it. The staff is very good, the atmosphere amazing

It's a great place if you want to relax. Nothing to see around it but we just stayed at the beach or the pools, the hotel is interesting enough :)

Amazing resort, everything you need to relax and unwind, including a fantastic spa, all the staff are wonderful and friendly, I had 2 massages during my stay, both fantastic but a big thank you to Kostas, the best massage I’ve had, will definitely be back

The food was amazing, and the restaurants really impressed us with their stunning locations and excellent cuisine

A Perfect spa experience for the end of my Trip. I felt very much taken care of, especially by my spa therapist Maria Tha. She was kind and very meticulous with the treatment. I would recommend her for the Cretan massage

The staff is incredibly friendly – a huge thank you to Eleni and Thanos! You couldn’t ask for better service at the pool bar during peak season – we looked forward to seeing them every day (not just for the drinks!)

Hotel is right on the sandy beach, yet also in city of Malia. The beach itself is nice and clean, and there is very nice swim out to a small beautiful islet. Sun ubrellas are pre-booked for certain rooms types

Every meal was a real pleasure, starting with generous breakfasts that featured local specialties and moving on to satisfying dinners where both local and international dishes were always well-prepared

During my stay at High Beach, I was truly impressed by Lia Captain! She welcomes everyone with a warm smile and treats all guests with kindness and respect

She talks to everyone in such a friendly and positive way, and whenever someone gives her feedback, she listens carefully and accepts it with an open mind

Excellent place to stay . Food is great , location right on the beach and staff brilliant

Another thing is that although there are enough sun beds for every guest, unfortunately many choose to block the best located ones for themselves by sprinting each morning before breakfast, covering the sun beds with towels and using them much later

Other than the beach, the large pool is also a great place to chill (I think it was a good idea to remove the diving boards one can still see at some pictures). The resort is very calm and peaceful

I understand there are bugs and stuff outside which can get to the room sometimes but I believe the hotel should try to limit the chances by taking good care of the rooms

Even though this is mostly the cheeky guests' fault, I'd appreciate the hotel to prevent this from happening. Sandy, very clean, actually not very crowded compared to the other beaches nearby

Beautiful resort in a beautiful location, however, few things are missing to give it a full score. The hotel offers great views at the mountains on one side and the open sea on the other

This place is absolutely amazing. Everyone who works for Hotel Dessole is super friendly. The food here is very nice, the best I've had at an all inclusive. I would 100% return here in the future

Had an amazing time here with my friends! Food was always great, location excellent, and the vibe as a whole is really welcoming

Every morning, he got me a plate full of breakfast goodies, and he was always kind and attentive to all of us

I am just rating this hotel very hight because of its service,environment and location. Food was delicious and I was always looking forward to it. Staff was so helpful,nice and still smiley

A special mention goes to the amazing Maître Anthony, who, throughout the week and for all three meals of the day, helped me always with a smile to find what I could eat, as I am celiac

Fantastic pool area with very friendly staff and good food. Direct access to the beach from pool area as well. Breakfast was not of similar quality though. Also, the hotel coffee was undrinkable

Watch out for two great guys who work there, Armando who does the sun loungers and Tonin one of the waiters really nice guy both have work here for a good few years now always lovely to see them

Stayed here twice bit pricey but well worth it, has a fantastic swimming pool and has easy access to the beach, also has sunbeds to hire

Very nice hotel with feiendly stuff, great beach and always fresh food. Perfect for older people. Calm place.

Just got a couple of negative points: - No music at the bar pool - not expensive but you have to pay the sunbed - we had booked a superior double room, On arrival we were shown the room we had booked (twin bed simple room)

We were told for an extra € 14 a day we could up grade (to the room we booked) pity. We did pay the extra - everything is extra, remote for TV, key for the safe Ask me if I would stay again

If you want to enjoy your holiday Solimar Ruby is a very good choice. I love this place- close to the beach, close to The city center. Amazing staff, nice rooms, everything is clean, big pool, tasty food

The hotel has a very nice pool area (2), excellent buffet style dining with food to suit all tastes and the seafront is a short walk (5mins) from the hotel

I had the best time at Solimar Ruby! The staff are kind, considerate and friendly. They take care of your every need with a smile

Food was good, pools are nice and localization is quite good - not far away from the city center

The food was lovely, and differentiated every day so you got to experience plenty of the Greek cuisine, however there was still plenty of food who preferred the original "spaghetti" or the likes

Luxury suites directly on the beach. The summer breeze is keeping us totally relaxed. Very clean and very luxus rooms while the service team is Very friendly. Superior service from breakfast to dinner

What a beautiful resort and what a nice people. Especially Didi she is very friendly always joyful. She represent a very nice wellness. Also the staff in the wellness is very professional

The furnishings are modern and very clean. There are loungers available for each room on the beach. The two restaurants are well run and the food is delicious and varied

Additionally, Didi's professional approach in arranging a suitable time and space for our session was commendable. We highly recommend their services

Really enjoyed our short stay here. The room was very clean & spacious. The (two) pools were both really nice and served by their own friendly pool snack bar. The staff were plentiful, cheerful and hard-working

This family run apartments is immaculately clean with the most wonderful friendly staff that make you feel so welcome, I thank you all for my fabulous vacation

Antisocial behaviour NOT tolerated at all! Food fresh and gorgeous. few mins walk one direction brought you to the funky strip

(Air con €8 a night, safe €2 a night) This is completely normal for 3 star hotels and to be expected. Food that we had was very good and reasonably priced. Would return in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone

For those moaning about the security guards, you need to remember not everyone likes going to bed in the early hours and are asleep so they are simply ensuring everyone is being respectful with their noise levels

Air con is an additional charge of €56 for 1 week which we thought was included so check, extra €10 for safe also. Rooms are big and spacious, shower room was a little small and a bit dated

One of the best hotel in Malia! Breakfast is super! But the most delicious is the “Cretan corner”. Perfect cocktails near the pool

A family type business, it impressed me with sweet and caring staff, which made me feel welcomed. The hotel has been recently renovated, and I liked the lobby and the dining area

The food was quite good, but I wish there was a bottled water, as a table water made served during dinner me somewhat sick

Not only because the hotel is superbly maintained, the rooms are wonderful and the grounds are a little dream, but because the hotel has a good soul in Roger who is second to none! He knows the names and preferences of all his guests, always has a good tip and a funny saying ready

We stayed 12 days in Anesea hotel and it was the best choice we could make! The service, the food and cocktails are really good. Everything is clean and the staff is really nice

The location is very good between Malia en Stalis, you can walk to both towns. We will recommend Anesea to everyone!

Really great hotel with perfect prices and a delicious buffet. But the absolute highlight is the bar! The bartender is top-notch, mixes the best drinks, and is always quick, friendly, and on point

A real quiet place to stay, local cucine, simply and super food. Even is in center of the local movies no noises in the night. A real good place to relax , good cocktails. The beach is a walking distance

Bella Elena is just perfect! This was my second stay and it was the best holiday I've ever had. We stayed in one of the ground floor apartments, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable

Quiet and peaceful location in the Old City of Malia area, yet there are a lot of the best restaurants near the hotel. Pool is clean and pretty big with sunbeds around it

The food and drink prices are fair and of a very good quality

Pitty you have to pay for the Wi-Fi in the room and the air-conditioning that did bump my spending money up a bit however, life is too short not to enjoy yourself as you can’t take the money with you

There are lots of snacks and ice creams available, you don't really need to leave the hotel if you don't want to! My favourite part of Bella Elena is the pool area, which is laid out perfectly

The old town is quite close with lots of tavernas, two shops near by and just a ten minute walk to the ***** with loads of great places to eat and drink especially one pub called Street with great hosts and lovely staff serving you

The food is excellent and the bar is super friendly

We have just come back from this hotel in Malia and what can I say fab hosts couldn’t do enough for us during our stay there, hotel is clean, tidy, great housekeeping, ate there a few times and food was great and plenty of it

This is a vibe hotel but the youngsters didn’t bother us as we were young once and did the same thing after exams

The pool has ample sun beds and big loungers which have never been held by towels!! Few things to note they do smoke in the bar but that has not bothered me and I’m a non smoker? There is no soap in rooms so remember to bring your own for handwashing etc the rooms have a lovely large balcony with table and seating a lot bigger than most places I have stayed

Went here in June 2025, with a family member. Everything you require is in the rooms, pans, plates, cutlery, safe. Large pool and plenty of sunbeds, even a massive lawn that you can sunbathe on

The hotel is very nice, we weren't given the room we booked but they did rectify it , our room was nice,clean and good outside area, pool was amazing sunbed area excellent exceptional clean, breakfast was ok the breakfast lady was so lovely, night security guy was brilliant, bar staff very nice and polite, a couple of older members of staff a lady with blonde hair and a older man weren't as friendly...

The staff in the hotel provided excellent customer service and were very attentive and welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend Dedalos Hotel to you

The location of the hotel is brilliant, everything was within walking distance, especially all the beaches, the Malia strip, there’s plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, there’s also plenty of places to book excursions in too

Back in September 2024, we stayed in this hotel for our lads holiday, and it was a lovely, relaxing and atmospheric experience. Firstly, everything was absolutely fantastic, the buffet breakfast was delicious

We had a great 4 days at Dedalos hotel Malia. Great WELCOME Great POOL and facilities. Great ROOM with attached small bathroom and terrasse. Great FREE PARKING in front of the hotel Great friendly SERVICE

There are plenty of local buses which you can book with your excursions, depending on where you are going. We went off peak in September and it was relatively quiet and we enjoyed everything

Excellent location, it is literally 5 mins walking from great local restaurants. 10 mins walking to the beach and to the main street full of bars and clubs. If coming to Malia, definitely would stay here again

A little downside is that mobile reception in the room is limited and the hotel wifi reception is also not the best. Can ask for the hotel's bar wifi which works better when hanging out in the pool

Hotel rating is fully adequated. Rooms have no furniture for clothes, water is heated by solar power so after sunset hot water suply is problematic. Poor wifi outside often does not work althought signal strength is good

AC works perfectly but it comes for an extra charge per day, it is a little hard to program though. Staff is amazingly friendly and will always make sure you're having a great time

The hotel is good but not great. The food in the restaurant is very low quality, the breakfast was always the same, the coffee machine is so slow

I've seen turtles moved faster that the waiter in the restaurant, one day we ask for beers and we were almost in the desert when the beers arrived. The room was clean and spacious

It was my first time in Greece. And what a nice experience it was. The location of the hotel is ideal , with 2 private pools and steps away from the beach and Sea. Amazing food and great personnel

Great Place, excellent rooms, quite a good service and tasty food! The approach of the hotel to the menu is unusual as if you have all inclusive, you still have to pay for the beverages and getting a glass of water or a coffee is quite expensive, so we had to have parties separately in our rooms… however the location is great and my family enjoyed swimming in the sea 🌊 and Greece 🇬🇷 is proudly Orthodox...

So many facilities and everything is absolutely spotless. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. The breakfast is probably the best I’ve ever had in a hotel

But what stood out most, were the staff! At breakfast, Maria and Sofia would always greet us with a warm smile and such genuine hospitality - they truly started our day off right! For lunch, we were served by Evalina and Aida - who were so incredibly kind, helpful, and generous to us and our little boys

Location is brilliant too and loads of restaurants nearby that serve great food

The only good dinner we had was at La Oliva, the à la carte option
