Reviews
The all-inclusive package was excellent — breakfast, lunch, dinner, wall-to-wall buffets. Plenty of choice, great grilled chicken, loads of veggie options, and really good desserts. Drinks included too — cocktails, soft drinks, coffee/tea — and the bar staff kept it flowing with a smile.
Hotel location is perfect, a short walk to the water with stunning views. The service throughout was friendly and helpful. For activities we went to Ouranoupoli, just a 10-minute taxi ride away, where the boat trips launch. From there we did Mount Athos, snorkeling at Blue Lagoon, visited Savana Beach Bar, and hired a self-drive motorboat from Akrathos Watersports (a must-do!).
Last week in August seemed like a perfect time to visit, not overwhelming busy like it apparently was just a few weeks prior, but still plenty of atmosphere.
Plenty of photos to share — food, views, and activities. Overall a brilliant holiday — would happily return.
The rooms are nothing special, even a bit neglected. The bedroom wasn’t like in the photos – it was two single beds pushed together, which easily separated, making you fall in between them. The toilet seat was cracked and full of hair (disgusting). In the other room, the air conditioner didn’t work properly and had to be set to 16 degrees to maintain 25. The rooms were cleaned daily, but my coffee cup, which I used every day, was never replaced or washed.
Out of four nights, only one had a program (Greek night), which was great. The other evenings the entire hotel was boring – most guests were just playing cards.
The hotel deserves one star for the beautiful view and another star for the smiling and attentive staff.
But next time, I wouldn’t spend my money at this hotel!
P.S. After the vacation is over, I must say the staff are very nice, especially the receptionist who helped me with the bags. All in all we had very decent experience.
Even though the hotel is quite large, it never feels crowded. There is plenty of space everywhere, including the beach. The beaches are sandy with a rocky entrance to the sea, the water is clear and warm.
You can rent a boat and visit the island of Amuliani, located about 3-4 km from the hotel. It’s a beautiful island where you can find quiet deserted beaches to spend time in peace. Both the hotel area and the island are great for beginner snorkeling.
Special thanks goes to Eduardo, the manager, who cares about his guests and treats everyone like an old friend. Thank you, dear Eduardo!
We are not sure if we will return again, (the transfer from Thessaloniki takes about 2.5 hours) but this place will definitely stay in our hearts forever.
- Staff were all fantastic, very happy and attentive. Special shout out to Edourdo, all the waiting staff (who work tirelessly) and the guys who run the shuttle service.
- The beach was lovely. Clear/shallow water. Sunbeds always available. Staff at the beach bar were great too as were the team of staff who keep the beach clean.
- The whole hotel was kept spotless.
- Onsite shop was good
- Food was great and had good offerings for all tastes. The fresh grilled meat and fish was always spot on.
- Jet 2 were good and transfers were spot on.
- We hired a boat from the watersports hut next door and did a fab boat trip around the island opposite. A great day out!
Cons-
- The pool is really deep 1.7m (one depth across the whole pool) We are tall and are good swimmers but its not particularly relaxing trying to keep above the water whilst playing with the kids.
Also the glass is really dirty/misty obstructing the view from the pool.
Also there arent many sunbeds around the pool and they get reserved quiet early.
Because of this we didnt spend much time at the pool, usually just a late afternoon dip before it closed.
- Non alcoholic drinks - Unless you like fizzy and overly sweet drinks there isn't much choice other than water of course. The juices at breakfast werent great either (out of a machine) and no option of freshly squeezed.
- Ridiculously large use of single use plastic. Everytime you go to get a drink during the day, its given to you in a small plastic cup. Very easy to do this differently and be more environmentally aware.
- Something more could be made of the route down to the beach and the bridge to make it more scenic.
- Our room view was of the roof of the restaurant. Could just see the sea off to the side. We didnt use our balcony much so wasnt a huge issue. Some I think looked over the car park, so just something to be aware of.
Overall a great stay and a lovely holiday.
- Great complex in where its well planned.
- Private beach with enough amount of sunbeds with good food in the beach bar in where you need to pay additionally.
- Enough amount of parking places which is covered from the top.
- Pretty big adult pool with 1.70mt dept all along.
- Great employees in the restaurant, entertainment dept and house keeping.
- All around the hotel is clean.
Negative sides;
- The most important one I guess, food quality is very low. It was my first time to go to an all inclusive hotel in Greece and from food perspective its very bad. Quality and options are so bad in where as out of 4 adults, 3 of us were having stomach problems. Around the hotel there are no restaurants in where you can go so you are also kind of stuck with what you have in the hotels restaurant.
- Hotel has been built on a hill so your options are two, to go to the beach, one is walk and other one to call an employee with a golf cart. Being on a hill, walking back to your room can be painful. Employee who drives the golf cart is a really nice guy but he is all alone and given the fact its a big hotel with many guests, he cannot be everywhere so you might need to wait for him for more than 20-30 mins.
- Kids pool has nothing except a pool which is 60cm deep and kids cannot find like slides, games etc. around the pool.
Generally its a good place but once the food is bad, your general experience changes a lot since its one of the most important one.
The only things that are included are: beer (not a pint), wines from a tap, soft drinks, tea and coffee, a choice from two cocktails of the day and buffet food. There is limited choice at this resort. If you would like an iced coffee, for example you would have to pay extra.
You have to put a deposit down for your towels which is €10 per towel and, if you would like a fresh one you have to pay an extra charge of €3.
Unfortunately myself and my partner both got food poisoning from the buffet food. The food looked very unappetising, it was also bland and there was not much selection. This resulted in us going into the town most nights as we were getting fresh, higher quality food with lovely cocktails and pints of beer!!! Therefore, the local town is something that we recommend although, that is disappointing as we paid for an all inclusive holiday.
Another thing to be aware of is the beds, if you are booking a double room, it's is just two single beds pushed together.
We did not feel comfortable raising our concerns or letting reception know that we were poorly as we felt as if we couldn't approach the staff, as they were only polite when it suited them.
However, the scenery of the hotel is beautiful with a lovely beach and pool area, as well as places to relax in the evenings.
Ultimately, we will not be staying at this resort again.
The location, the sea and weather are obviously off charts
The room is very clean and feels freshly renovated, except for a few small corners that were missed. One small thing we missed: two free bottles of water upon arrival, which we are used to from other hotels.
The beach and the path leading to it are beautiful, and there is also a great view from the pool. It was especially nice that the sun loungers and umbrellas at the beach are free. The drinks are good and enjoyable, but we would have liked to see some small snacks included in the all-inclusive offer in the afternoon.
Breakfast could be improved, especially the coffee. A live cooking station for custom omelets would be a nice addition.
The food at the main restaurant tastes good, and there is something for everyone. A bit more variety would be nice, but the themed evenings, especially the grilled food, were excellent. We want to especially praise the restaurant manager Eduardo, who was always friendly and helpful.
The salad and olives in the main restaurant were particularly delicious – fresh and well-prepared. The à la carte restaurant was also very tasty, but you have to book two days in advance, which makes it less spontaneous.
The beach is beautiful, and there is also a bar there. Nearby, you can rent boats to explore the small islands – highly recommended. Unfortunately, the toilets at the beach are in poor condition, while those at the pool are fine.
We really enjoyed our stay and felt well-rested. We would recommend the hotel.
