Alia Palace Hotel - Adults Only 16+

Take no notice of the negative reviews - they are totally unfounded. This is a lovely hotel - the staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Great pool area with great views. The hotel is on a steep hill but has a great shuttle bus service to the town and beach It never felt crowded and there were plenty of very comfy sun beds

Location- It’s located an hour and a half away from the airport on top of a very steep hill but this leads to gorgeous hilltop views overlooking the sea. There is a beach transfer service should you need help getting from A to B. And they also provide a buggie if you want a lift to your room to. If you feel like a hike there is a shortcut to the beach which is a lovely walk on the way down and takes about 15 mins. Rooms- we had a junior suite with pool which faced the side of the sea and it was lovely. The rooms got cleaned everyday. YES, the pool was cold when you first get in but stop being a moaner and you’ll be fine! It was great to see so much care taken into the rooms. The atmosphere- There isn’t much in regards to entertainment by the pool or of an evening and it really is a mixed bag with regards to people staying here but there is plenty to do to entertain yourself whether that be inside the hotel or out. The dogs- Don’t believe everything you hear on here. Yes there was stray dogs but they don’t go near you or harm you unless they are tormented. Half of the time they just sit there watching the world go by which was cute! The food- The food is the only thing I would say is a bit hit and miss. The breakfast has a lot of variety, you can’t go wrong with a buffet for breakfast but the dinner was not great. If you like pasta, chips and anything carby you’re fine but apart from that it’s not great. This didn’t affect us as we have been eating out and it’s been so cheap! 😍 Overall- This isn’t a typical out of this world 5 star hotel but you are paying for what you get. They really take care of you and we enjoyed our time here as well as a few more days we got left. 🥰🫶🏻

We had a nice week at the Alia. It is on a hill which gives great views. They have a bus service to take you into town and to the beach if you don’t fancy the 15 min walk down (or more likely back up). Also they have a little golf buggy to take you from reception up the hill to your room which we appreciated. Our room was modern and with a large comfortable bed. Needed a separate clothes hanging space in addition to the area near the safe - dresses were too long to hang up there. The pool area was nice and clean and the sunbeds were great - a thick double mattress type bed. Food-wise I was worried having read the reviews but we found it absolutely fine with plenty of choice - and lots of strawberries to eat at lunch and dinner which was nice; it wasn’t just the cheaper fruit which was plentiful for example. I think they should offer filtered water as a 5 star hotel - they do at breakfast but not for the rest of the day. I’d read the reviews though and we had a hire car so we bought bottles of water from a supermarket to last us the week. Booze was expensive so again we bought some elsewhere. The majority of staff were friendly with the exception of one sulky looking waiter but the rest seemed lovely. Tatiana did an excellent massage - better than one of the other girls who massaged me earlier in the week. For what we paid we thought it was a bargain and enjoyed our week.

We’ve just spent a week at this hotel and we loved it. We had a 2 bed villa and the space was amazing. The bed linen, towels and dressing gowns were all excellent quality and the sun loungers were amazing, so comfy. The food was good, plenty of choice of meats,veggie options, with lovely fresh salads and fruit every day. All the staff from the cleaners, the bell boys, reception, bar staff, restaurant staff, absolutely everyone were so friendly and helpful. The pool areas are beautiful and very well kept and the views stunning every way you look. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

⸻ Great Stay at Alia Hotel Alia Hotel is a beautiful place with amazing views over the town and out to the sea. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. We really enjoyed the food – lots of tasty options to choose from every day. The only minor issue was the bed being a bit too firm for us, but overall, it was a great stay and we’d definitely recommend it.

I generally loved this holiday The scenery and the people/staff were amazing. It was a perfect holiday to relax and catch some sun however at front desk I got told to give a £200 deposit and still have not got it back. That’s the only downfall I could say.

Stayed here for a week mid October and we really enjoyed our stay. The pool area is beautiful and has the most gorgeous sea views. The hotel was very nicely decorated and very relaxing atmosphere. Our room was nicely designed, very clean and had everything we needed in there, iron, kettle etc. We also tried the a la carte menu (which is separate to the buffet area) and the food was to die for! Definitely some of the best food we had that week, so impressed! If you want a good meal and don’t feel like travelling out of the hotel then ask for the a la carte menu. The staff were all helpful and friendly as were the cleaners. The hotel is at the top of a very long hill, however the hotel has a shuttle bus every hour to take you down to the main road or the beach & it can pick you up at certain times. But most nights we ended up getting a taxi which cost €5 from the main road up to alia palace. Only thing I will say is if you have breathing difficulties then to try request a room in the first block on the ground floor. I have a lung condition and we were in the 3rd block and 4 flights of stairs up to our room as there’s no lift. I was offered a different room but stuck with the one I had as preferred the room itself. There is a golf cart at reception and you can get a lift up to your block if he’s there. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend coming here!
