Sun Beach Hotel

The garden and pool area is really beautiful, as you can see on the pictures. The grass is almost cut with scissors, there are palm trees in the garden, the pool is clean and the temperature is pleasant. Number of sunbeds around the pool is good.
Whoever wrote a bad review on Google about the lifeguard by the pool was wrong. He is the coolest guy of the whole place in our opinion. Not at all strict and plays and has fun with the kids. Nico, if you are reading, we really like you!:)
The waitresses are very nice and attentive. Breakfast is relatively extensive, although there are some problems.
The view is nice from the rooms, especially the sea facing rooms. Big applause to the cleaning ladies who come every day, clean up beautifully and provide fresh towels even when not really needed. Thank you!
It's hard to list what we didn't like... The train station and restaurants, shops are all within 1 km walking distance. The Hotel does NOT offer a shuttle service, contrary to the description, when I asked about this before the tripby phone, they said we could order a taxi (that's 2 taxis for 5 people...).
There was a board on the lift telling you to take the stairs instead. We would have chosen that one ourselves, because there was specifically no air or air movement in the elevator, you could suffocate.

All in all, it seems that the owner wants to get the most money out of the hotel and invest minimal money - only what is absolutely necessary.
In addition, you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach. You'd think you'd pay a lot and that's included in the price, but you don't. Owner's reply: nowhere does it say it is included in the price. Well, it is on the photos and nowhere does it say NOT included. People are being misled.
In general, everyone smokes: on terraces, balconies, by the pool, on sun loungers by the beach. It doesn't matter if there are children around, or if the smoker's own children are there... The ashtray is on every table and it's OK if the ashes blow into the water. Sometimes I felt sick from all the smoke. Why not at least ban smoking by the pool?
We concluded that this is a seriously overpriced hotel. I don't recommend it.

The hotel has a good location and great layout. Unfortunately, they have not done anything to modernise their rooms, the towels and bed sheets are old and some have yellowed. They charge for using the sun beds on the beach but they do nothing to maintain them, the beach is dirty, the sunbeds the same.
