A beautiful hotel with a beautiful beach. Staff helpful and smiling. The rooms are spacious with nice terraces. The hotel is clean, rooms are cleaned and towels are changed every day. The food is varied, plenty of salads and desserts. The beach is clean, spacious and has enough space for all guests. A hotel that deserves 5 stars. See you there next year.

The hotel is great value for the money, very very clean, food was various, plenty of it, fresh and delicious home cooked meals. I was staying with family and a 4 year old kid. We had the best time, so chill and relaxing, the staff is super friendly, positive and smiling all the time. I felt so welcome and carefree. It is so much more than what I expected. The only thing I could use is the mosquito nets on the balcony door. But even like this, it was ok. Warm recommendation from me, we will return for sure.

Hotel Sun Beach Resort is a true family hotel.
It stands out for its exceptional cleanliness, natural shade, and beautiful beach. Our room was cleaned every day, towels were changed daily, and bed linen was changed every third day. The housekeeping staff tidied up the rooms every day and straightened the beds.
Breakfast was standard, with something for everyone, while dinner was excellent, with a wide variety of tasty food. The rooms are spacious. The only downside was that during showers, water would sometimes come back up from the drain. The toilets in the hotel and on the beach were also clean. There are three showers—one on the beach and two by the pool. There are also changing cabins, which were also clean. The pool was cleaned every evening. Overall, hygiene is 10/10.
A small complaint is that the pool opened only at 10:30 AM and closed at 6:30 PM.
On weekends, the pool and beach get more crowded because locals from other parts of Greece come to visit. However, despite that, there were always enough sunbeds available both at the pool and on the beach.
Sunbeds at the pool are free of charge, while sunbeds on the beach are paid, even though they belong to the hotel, and it’s unclear why hotel guests have to pay for them. A set of sunbeds and an umbrella in the first two rows costs €10, and in the other rows €7.
One thing not related to the hotel but to Platamon itself is the large number of mosquitoes that don’t respond to repellent sprays, various biting insects, flies, grasshoppers, ants, and some huge bugs that look pretty gross. But that's nature—so if someone has a phobia of insects, Platamon might not be the right place for them.
The overall impression is that if you have a small child, this hotel is the right choice for you.
The beach is close, the pool is clean, and in the evenings there are lots of kids playing together, even going to the neighboring hotel where there are regular evening animations for children.
All in all, for a peaceful vacation, this is an ideal hotel.

Good value for money. On the beach, some rooms better than others. Half board is a good value. Easy walk to town, less than 1km. Spent a week, first week of June, lots of student groups in the hotel. Very friendly staff.

This is the second year in a row that we come to the hotel with a small baby. I want to praise the entire staff who work. They are very kind and professional, from the housekeepers to the lifeguards, so that the waiters don't get angry, and of course the girls and guys from the reception, you are all excellent and great. The food is fresh and always when it's a little lacking, the hard-working girls bring a refill of it. Rooms are cleaned every day, clean towels are brought every day. Very clean and tidy. The pool is perfectly clean. The beach and sunbeds are excellent for rest and enjoyment. Once again, many thanks for the hospitality and of course, see you next year. Cheers and take care.

Great value for money. Well maintained and clean (but slightly dated) accommodation, large pool with (free) comfortable sun beds and umbrellas, direct access to beach, good food in the beach bar, friendly staff, 20 minute walk from the (surprisingly) lively center of Platamon (many seaside bars and restaurants). Great spot to spend a (few) night(s) to visit the Olympus or on the way to Thessaloniki (one our drive).

The garden and pool area is really beautiful, as you can see on the pictures. The grass is almost cut with scissors, there are palm trees in the garden, the pool is clean and the temperature is pleasant. Number of sunbeds around the pool is good.
Whoever wrote a bad review on Google about the lifeguard by the pool was wrong. He is the coolest guy of the whole place in our opinion. Not at all strict and plays and has fun with the kids. Nico, if you are reading, we really like you!:)
The waitresses are very nice and attentive. Breakfast is relatively extensive, although there are some problems.
The view is nice from the rooms, especially the sea facing rooms. Big applause to the cleaning ladies who come every day, clean up beautifully and provide fresh towels even when not really needed. Thank you!
It's hard to list what we didn't like... The train station and restaurants, shops are all within 1 km walking distance. The Hotel does NOT offer a shuttle service, contrary to the description, when I asked about this before the tripby phone, they said we could order a taxi (that's 2 taxis for 5 people...).
There was a board on the lift telling you to take the stairs instead. We would have chosen that one ourselves, because there was specifically no air or air movement in the elevator, you could suffocate.
All in all, it seems that the owner wants to get the most money out of the hotel and invest minimal money - only what is absolutely necessary.
In addition, you have to pay for sunbeds on the beach. You'd think you'd pay a lot and that's included in the price, but you don't. Owner's reply: nowhere does it say it is included in the price. Well, it is on the photos and nowhere does it say NOT included. People are being misled.
In general, everyone smokes: on terraces, balconies, by the pool, on sun loungers by the beach. It doesn't matter if there are children around, or if the smoker's own children are there... The ashtray is on every table and it's OK if the ashes blow into the water. Sometimes I felt sick from all the smoke. Why not at least ban smoking by the pool?
We concluded that this is a seriously overpriced hotel. I don't recommend it.

The hotel has a good location and great layout. Unfortunately, they have not done anything to modernise their rooms, the towels and bed sheets are old and some have yellowed. They charge for using the sun beds on the beach but they do nothing to maintain them, the beach is dirty, the sunbeds the same.

Great hotel, especially for the price. Friendly staff, excellent cuisine, excellent pool and shade for families with smaller children. The biggest advantage is the excellent WiFi, the rooms are not bad. All in all, a great place to stay, especially if you catch a discount.
