Small fitness center (which is barely utilized, what a shame). All staff is great, extremely friendly and helpful. Most speak German (and Hungarian, of course), but they also have plenty English speaking staff.
Breakfast and dinner buffets are great, always a changing variety of foods. Live entertainment nightly (quality of the entertainment varies).
During the day they also offer a-la-carte menu.
Short walk through the woods brings you to the thermal lake and the small town of Heviz.
Really a great place. This was our first visit here, but my wife and I will definitely come back 😀
An error had occurred during booking (a known Expedia issue), resulting in our room being booked for only one person and not two.
This problem was extremely poorly handled by the hotel staff at the reception, as they used this as an opportunity to overcharge us for the extra person.
The price difference for one more person when booking through Expedia was 70€ however the hotel wanted to charge us 400€.
Luckily I could cancel our stay through Expedia, getting a full refund. We left and booked another similar hotel only 5 minutes drive away.
On top of that, we naturally also cancelled our booked spa treatments, leaving the hotel with absolutely no business - something which was 100% deserved due to their greedy behaviour.
