The owner is really helpful and open to questions. The location is really suggested for the closeness to both the subway and the railways. Closeby many restaurants can be found. Finally I found the rooms very clean and full with all the necessary.
Perfect accommodation and the city is great.
The room was clean and with all the necessities. I liked the modern and classical decoration. The only negative was that there is no sound insolation. The metro is close by and the host is extremely helpful.
This is an exceptional bed and breakfast - we stayed for 10 days, travelling along the Italian Riviera and using il Borgo de Genoa as a home base. It is less than a block from the train station, so it is super convenient for getting around. It is clean and bright, with wonderful modern amenities. The hosts are lovely people and very knowledgeable about the area - AND they provide a lovely and delicious...
A wonderful place to stay if in Genova. Room was comfortable and always clean when we returned, breakfast always fresh with plenty of options. The owners were friendly, kind and not hesitating to be helpful also with good local recommendations. Location is great - right next to the train station and city center, with shops and restaurants along the way, just 10 minutes walk. 6 stars if I could!
Very nice place in Genoa. The b&b is created a lovely small hotel which is exceptional for its beauty, cleanliness, comfort .Unforgettable breakfast.

. I booked by phone and in a very short time they sent me an email confirming the booking. Friendly and immediately available. When I arrived I found a familiar and friendly environment. Michela the owner is a wonderful person who knows how to make you feel at home. Patrick his co-worker is just as nice and courteous. If and when I return to Genoa, I will have no doubts about which hotel to choose...
Great hospitality, feels like family, they make you feel like you are with friends. Clean room and a lot of availability. I hope to come back soon. I was very well. Me and my partner. Thank you

A fantastic hotel right in the centre of the city. The owners are really helpful and so friendly, they made our stay fantastic giving us a list of excellent places to eat and things to see. Because of the lovely people and their great hotel we will be coming back to Genoa again.
A hidden gem located in the heart of Genoa. A historical building tastefully renovated. Owners are most hospitable and welcoming! Parking is challenging because the ally between the buildings is tight but you can do it with the guidance of the owner!
Hotel Bologna was a pleasant, cost-effective stay in Genova. The staff were friendly, extremely helpful, informative and accommodating. It was located relatively close to the train station, which made life easier for me and the room was clean, neat and comfortable. The wifi was somewhat inconsistent but overall I had a pleasant stay. 😊
Staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. Location was excellent, near to Railway Station and city centre. Room was nicely decorated. The staff all spoke good English and left us feeling relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely return.
Small, lovely, clean! The host Anna went out of her way to help us in every respect! She assisted with parking in a very tight spot, she booked restaurants for us... Etc, etc. Unique personal touch. The small hotel is right besides the city centre and walking distance from all the need to see and do things. Thank you so much Anna!❤️❤️❤️
The hotel is conveniently located between the station and the old town and the staff are very friendly and informative (and multi-lingual!) about local attractions and places to eat and drink, etc. Our room was perfectly clean and spotless, with a fridge and free water. The only downsides were that the room was on the 4th floor and the hotel does not have a lift, and as the hotel is tucked down a...

my stay was two months for work commitments, I found everything I needed to stay, I thank in particular my friend Agostino always present and available. Thanks again for the birthday thought Cristiano
Very engaging patron and manager, right from my first telephone enquiry. Met me in my car and directed me to secure parking, saw me to the hotel, checked me in, directed me to nearby restaurants for supper. Carefully explained access and security. Bedroom comfortable and with a small balcony to view the main street. So obliging and helpful with a cheery good bye as I left. Hotel with attitude, well...
Hotel with a good quality/price ratio. It is very convenient to the historic center and the main shops. I found it quiet and clean with all the necessary services. They are located below several bars and 100 meters away a small supermarket. I recommend it!
A beautiful hotel, very well kept and well located in the heart of the city. Excellent welcome and excellent cleanliness. We had a great time, we recommended it to several friends and acquaintances and we will definitely return Fulvio Scotto CAAI
What to say about the Hotel Olympia.... Already from telephone contacts we were sure that we had chosen the right place to spend a night in Genoa to visit the aquarium and the city itself....the kindness found in the telephone conversations with Mr. Agostino left us no doubts! Upon our arrival we were greeted with immense cordiality and cheerfulness. Our little girls and our furry friend were pampered...
Excellent value for money. The single room is small but comfortable and clean, especially the bed has a very comfortable mattress. The hotel is on the fourth floor of a historic Liberty-style building of considerable value. A special mention to the courtesy, availability and friendliness of the owner Agostino, and his patience in satisfying my unusual needs in preparing my coffee :-) Excellent location...

Reception is very friendly and they make you feel welcomed. The room was really nice, spacious and comfortable. I'd loved to come again.
The host is super friendly and available in case of questions. You can park close to the building and can reach the city center easiliy by bus within 10 minutes. The room was clean, especially the bathroom is super nice and renovated.
An excellent cleaning, Mrs. Patrizia very kind a tree without many pretensions all ok
Optimal position for those who need to reach the hospital on foot. The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met, she will be able to find a solution for whatever your need is. It also has small apartments for those who need long stays.
I was in the structure for two weeks and I had a great time ..
Excellent service.
Cleanliness, kindness, availability and understanding have never failed.
Warm and friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable mattresses.
Patrizia an exceptional person, always available and attentive to guests' needs 🙏
Excellent value for money.

Fine for a night!
Staff were really nice and helpful, condition of property was dated. Bathroom was very makeshift and everything needed work. Room was a good size, but bed was old, soft mattress and made so much noise every-time you rolled over! Area didn’t feel great at night, would be fine for a couple but I wouldn’t stay here alone again.
Good design hotel
It has the best design packed with music history and equipment, and room is clean and comfort with good design, it also offered bags carry. I'd very good experience.
Around the property a little sketchy. Hotel was nice and clean. About a block from more touristy old town. Everyone was lovely, I was there with my daughter so possibly different view of area if wasn't on high alert mode.
Very helpful and nice hotel staff

Charming hotel and personal
Very charming hotel, with nice service.
The "back door" out on the bypass was a good way to access the hotel on evenings when the main entrance street was a bit tough.
A very good hotel for a short stay. It's close to the port and pleasant. The noise is still quite present, but it stops around midnight.
The bedding could use replacing; it's quite unpleasant to feel the springs.

Clean
Good reception
Great location. Very simpathic staff. Very good bed. Uncomfortable shower. No air condition.
Great location!
Centrally located for Genoa Brigniole railway station and Bus station. Pharmacy, restaurants and supermarkets are very nearby.
Hotel staff, Valter is very friendly and welcoming. Guides voluntarily to the tourists.
It was a great stay. On my next visit the Genoa, I'll book same hotel.
Nice hotel with very friendly and hospitable hosts. It was a bit confusing to find, because there is no clear sign at the entry and Albergo Novecento is situated on the 3rd floor. After climbing 2 flights in this old and beautiful building you find an ancient but reliable elevator.

Good for a cheap hotel
A nice hotel, just maybe on the wrong side of town. The communal areas are a little rundown but my room was lovely, clean and fun view of the docks.
Staff were very helpful, with my limited Italian and their limited English we got there in the end. There is no car parking! there are just some spaces outside on the street, These were awful upon our arrival. I never seem to...
For 1-2 nights it is quite acceptable. Yes, it is old, but the price is reasonable. Very hospitable and helpful owner, he was very kind and solved all our problems (leave luggage until the evening train, etc.). The hotel has a tasty and cheap pizzeria. It is about 20 minutes walk to the center, the hotel itself is in a convenient location next to the train station. The staff almost does not speak English...
Reasonable
Good for the price, but it said there was free parking and it wasn't. The hotel only has 5 street spaces in front and it's subject to availability... Negative point.
Decent hotel but poorly located
The staff was friendly. The rooms are basic, sparsely furnished, but comfortable. The air conditioning makes the room really comfortable in summer. The prices are still a bit high for what you get.
The big downside is the location: the hotel is quite far from the city center and the historic center (to the east), and to get there you have to cross the dirty and unfriendly...
Disappointing

Appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms
Excellent location. The hotel is a bit dated but very cheap, which makes it a good choice for a stopover. The night reception staff work with great dedication. The rooms are a bit small.
Very kind receptionist, clean rooms and good coffee for breakfast. In an excellent location for a decent price. Would go back again.

A simple hotel, like going back in time. Rooms were clean but dated. Staff were pleasant. We just stopped one night when passing through. Lovely restaurant next door.
So... Place is quite a drive from Genoa old town. Rooms are alright, though shower needed some work done (walls are old and paint is coming off). Staff was hard ro communicate with. You can get a parking spot only if there is space and there is only space for 8 vehicles maximum. We managed to find a parking space after midnight 5 minutes walk from the place. Great breakfast and room for decent price!
Pros: spacious, good thick towels, great location, good breakfast!
Cons: run-down, mold growing in the ceiling corner in bathroom, AC didn’t do much and it was VERY hot, door was like a bedroom door in an apartment- not very solid or easy to close properly
The location is close to main rail station. Very convenient.
Friendly staff. Poor renovation job.
The check in is in a separate building. This was a bit confusing. The hotel did offer me a free upgrade but that building did not have an elevator which I required. The room was small, as expected, and very clean. The shower was a bit awkward since I am plus size (US18) and did not fit into the shower easily. It was a quiet room. Fantastic for my one night stay. Charming, antiquated hotel. Friendly staff that upgraded me to make me more comfortable.
Looks like a very humane place
Located halfway between the port & the airport. Not the most pleasant of areas, I wouldn't walk alone at night around here.
The room & bathroom were clean but the mattress was buckled, so really uncomfortable. Also the bathroom was so tiny and really badly laid out that a tall person can't fit on the loo. There's no lift so be prepared to carry your big heavy case up at least 2 flights.

We had a lovely time at Hotel Youri il Magnifico in Genoa. The location is excellent — right in the heart of the city, close to everything, with plenty of charm and character. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
The only downside was the TV in our room, which unfortunately never worked. Every day we were told it would be fixed...

This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Genoa. It is close to the train station, shopping, restaurants, bus lines, etc. Located on the 5th floor, it might be challenging to reach as there is only one, small elevator. This is my response to the manager's response to my review published in February 2025. The response stated that I payed 25 euros per night to stay at the hotel which was cheaper than staying at a hostel and, thus, shouldn't complain about the room. I'd like to correct this statement. I paid $133 per two nights and given the amenities felt that the room was overpriced. If it indeed were 25 euros per...
I have mixed feelings about this place. Pros: conveniently located, reasonably priced parking, quiet, friendly staff. Cons: the hotel was under renovation when we were there, so it was pretty messy. The room we stayed in wasn't renovated yet and looked more like a dorm room than a hotel room. The furniture,
bedding and towels were old and looked unappealing. There was black mold in the shower stall
I chose Alberto Astro for the location near one of the Genoa train stations. The area was surprisingly fancy. But don’t be fooled. The facade and spiral staircase are far more elegant than the albergo. The room was large, albeit sadly decorated. The breakfast was bare bones, although they make a great cappuccino! Good location on a bustling street, with a lot of stores nearby, including groceries. Easy check-in. Only downside is a little smell of smoke. It seemed some previous guests didn't abide by the smoke-free rule.

Perfect location and really nice owners
We enjoyed our stay at hotel Major. The room was clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. It is located within walking distance to the city center, attractions, shopping, and dining.

I don’t understand why people rate this hotel that low. The AC runs pretty well, you can’t say it doesn’t work, because you feel the difference when you’re in and out. The hotel is close to the train station of Genova Brignole, it deserves plenty of stations, there’s even local stores you could visit, and even beaches so close of this spot.
Located directly in Genoa. Nice staff. Rooms neat and clean. Some rooms with balconies available.
What a lovely find. Centrally located hotel. Close to Brignole station. Well connected to all of Genoa, including Boccadasse. The bus stop is just around the corner. Comfortable and clean room. Friendly and professional staff. Convenient vending machine for snacks and coffee. Quiet but not isolated area. Congratulations.
The room was very cozy and nice. The quality/price ratio was really good for a 1-star hotel in high season. The only drawback was the outside noise from traffic. The reception was friendly. Excellent for a 1-2 night stay and a quick visit to the city.
Near the brignole station, lot of breakfast areas around, had a farmacy nearby. Soundproofed windows. Clean. Staff was great. She waited for us until we arrive late. Hot water in the shower was great. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids, they had a double decker bed and me and my wife at the matrimonial bed. Room space was more than enough.. very good price value!! The acquarium of genova is just 3 metro...
