Mercure Napoli Centro Angioino

Solid Mercure Hotel, room size okay, clean, bathroom rather small.

Rooms facing the street can hear traffic noise all night long.

The airport bus - Alibus has its stop 5 minutes walk away at the harbor. Don't change to the metro at the main station as the Google route planner suggests, it's unnecessary and takes longer. Just drive through to the end of the bus line.

Small sparse rooms. Lots of road noise. A/C in rooms is okay. Not a typical mercure. Pricey for what you get. It is close to the port and to the metro. Service is nice and polite.

Having stayed in so many hotels in the past couple of years. Accor needs to buck up on their hotel quality and service. As a platinum member of Accor I’m utterly disappointed with the service in most of the Accor properties I’ve stayed.

First, I would like to thank Mary for her wonderful service. I could tell she is trying her best, and also the young gentlemen who works in the evening behind the reception. However, due to their co-workers from the other department. It makes it hard for them to do provide good service.
I will list down the following issues I’ve faced :

- The rooms doesn’t equip with proper porcelain mugs, which is ridiculous for a 4 star hotel. When my husband and I called to asked for mugs. The gentleman on the phone told us to head down to the third floor of the breakfast place to help ourselves with the mugs at the restaurant. FYI, this is a 4 star hotel, I’ve never in my entire life have been asked to help myself. If you’re a 3 star, yes probably, but I think you can do better. So my husband went to the restaurant to help himself with the mugs, the staff at the restaurant told him it’s closed. His English isn’t the best, we don’t blame him, but I’m sure it can be done better. So we called the concierge again, the guy said “I’m sorry. We will bring up the mugs”. If you would have done this earlier, we wouldn’t have to go down to the restaurant to help ourselves with the mugs as requested by your staff. Isn’t this double work now? We went down, he told my husband was closed and end up passing us the mugs in our room when we had to call the second time! One more thing, the hygiene of the cups and cutleries were atrocious. It was dusty and dirty! I had to wash everything all over again.

- The room is extremely dusty. The bathroom too. I wonder how often does the housekeeper cleans up? Look at the dust ard the kettle in the picture.

- only provided one bedroom slipper?

- when we brought this up to the front desk, Mary and the gentlemen were very emphatic. However, the team working in the hotel itself is not helping. For the money I’m paying , €350 per night, I think I deserve better. Not for my platinum status I wouldn’t have stayed there.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Convenient location near metro station and port. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as the piazza with shopping.
OK for rooms and breakfast. Older rooms that have been patched up. For the price, there may be better options available.

If you are a guest at the hotel on a beautiful sunny day, what you won't easily forget is the rich breakfast served on the large terrace with a view of the port and the Maschio Angioino. You'll also remember pastiera napoletana and sfogliatelle, but above all, the kindness and smile of the entire staff. The rooms are simple yet elegant. The hotel offers also a small gym and a sleek cocktail bar to its guests. The price vs quality ratio is definitely fair.

We had an amazing stay in the Mercure Napoli, the location was just perfect to go around, the rooms are clean and quiet
The best is the personnel, either for the check in, the check out and during the stay

Also big thanks to Alessandra who had a real sense of guest service and was so helpful for the check out with a variety of attentions
So, we will for sure stay in this cozy nice place again, and I recommend it in case you want to visit the beautiful and warm city of Napoli
