Problems from start to finish. Not only do they refuse to answer emails, but hardly any of the staff spoke enough english to communicate properly with. Seeing as every restaurant and business we went to (even a little electronics shop) had people that all spoke very good english and were all so welcoming and kind, this was surprising. We had a parking ticket and the lobby told us to go to the local police station, which was incorrect as in reality we had to go to our rental car company, so we wasted hours of our few days trying to figure out what to actually do with it. The room felt like it was only half ready. The walls were poorly painted (felt like it was just primer with no paint, which did matter because it felt like sandpaper if you rubbed against it at all), the beds were very uncomfortable and way too short (I am 184cm and barely fit, I didnt fit if I moved down the bed at all), the beds were also incredibly old and run-down, the pillows were just terrible and hurt my neck every night, there were only 2 plug sockets available in the entire room (4 if you unplug the tv and the bedside light), the bedroom light switch just decided to not work halfway through our stay, the wifi simply didnt work 50% of the time, the mini fridge kept turning itself off randomly and its handle on the front had broken off, the shower handle constantly fell off almost crushing my toe at one point, the "shower gel" provided was cheap hand soap in a squeeze bottle, the loo didnt flush properly, the bed itself was actually falling apart (the end of the bed kept disconnecting) but more than anything else, the air conditioning was shockingly bad. It was not cold, maybe just luke warm, and made a horrible noise while it was on. I could forgive the rest of the issues if we had a cold room after being in the unbearable heat all day, but it was terrible. The best thing this hotel did for us was provide us with a relativley powerful standing fan after being asked about it, which saved us as without it, we would have had to leave. I am under the assumption that every hotel on the island has this issue with "centralised air conditioning", but that doesn't make it ok. You need individual AC units in every room, especially for over 100 euros a night on an island that often gets into the 30+ degrees. I wish I had taken more photos of the room, but only remembered to get a pic of the shower handle.
The positives are that its in a good location on the island, the staff were ok, the lobby was very spacious and calm, they had a beautiful baby grand piano in the lobby as well, the breakfast was good, it was generally very clean all around and there is onsite parking for scooters and cars (for €8 a day though). That is it unfortunately, and no where near enough to say its a 4 star hotel in 2023. Honestly the best thing about this hotel was the piano and the cleaning staff, who were excellent and very sweet.
I want to be positive about this as we had an amazing time on the island, but this hotel just isn't enough. It wasnt a peaceful stay, it was full of problems which added up over and over again. Nothing just worked. Save yourself the hassle.

Also, finally I get a response after leaving an honest review, though I am being told I am lying about my stay and that I am only leaving a bad reveiw for a refund, which is absurd. I couldn't care less about a refund, though it would be nice since we didn't stay our last night. I have never dealt with a business like this before. There were a few things about my stay which were great as i mentioned, but overall it was unnacceptable and to recieve such a rude reply when I was being as honest as I can is unbelievable. I recognise running a hotel is very challening, but I really hope you take on board what I have said and try to fix them for your next customers. I almost broke my toe in your shower because of the handle for gods sake!

The hotel itself looks beautiful from the outside. It mainly caters to older Italian spa guests. The staff was friendly but upon checkin I was only addressed in Italian and also received a briefing together with other guests in Italian. This worked for me but I witnessed other foreigners struggling with the lack of foreign languages being actively used.
The towel for the pool had to be paid for (€5) which I found unusual. And bathing caps had to be worn in the thermal as well as the outdoor swimming pools. The pool only opens at 9am so no pre-breakfast swimming. There was a great pool bar with the most friendly lady serving drinks/coffes/food. The garden was lovely and well kept.
In front of the hotel was another large garden and bar area for the evening.
The breakfast buffet was good with lots of Italian sweet bakery items.
The room was plain but very clean. I believe that thereare also modern/renovated rooms.
The aircon could not be adjusted and was mainly blowing out air at a certain nouse level. Therefore the room stayed very warm at night.
The room neighbour was smoking on the balcony and I had the smoke coming into my room.

Even though I was not impressed with the aircon and staff’s language skills I enjoyed staying here!

A very dated place considering decor and facilities. Its lovely in the common areas but in the room i prefer more modern and functional. Two taps both in shower and basin. Very small bed in the singel room. AC not effective,it took hours to get the room cool. Nice swimmingpool and joining area with bar. They served you at your poolchair if you preferred that. Breakfast really only ok. Mostly different bread with small selection of coldcuts. They serve you the kind of Coffee you want, i got 2 cans, one Coffee and one watm Milk. Thats was nice, i got like 4 cups worth.

Bottom line: if you like poor service and paying for more than you get then this is the place for you. The reception staff was extremely rude.

After the first day, we were talking about when we could come back next. Then the problems started. After waiting in the designated area for the shuttle service to the beach, we contacted the front desk to ask why no one had shown up for 45 minutes. Then, when reporting the issue, the staff got mad at us and another couple for asking for the ride. After, they told us to be at the pickup spot at exactly 5 pm. At 5:30 when we called to ask where the shuttle was, the front desk yells at us again for being problematic and then hang up on us.

The next morning, when in the thermal spa, the staff kicks me and my children out of the spa for not wearing a bathing cap. The staff then follows us to the pool and tells us we cannot swim in the pool either. We lost almost the entire morning until the management told us we could purchase a bathing cap for 2 euro and told us it was our fault for not asking it. We lost an entire day for nothing.

The worst part about the stay is that the staff seemed to enjoy treating us bad and making us suffer. Terrible.

Nice hotel. Decorated in a vintage style. The thermal Spa. Relax in the hotel mainly older Italians. 10 minutes from the sea. Next to a small supermarket.

This is a great place to stay. Not too far from the port, the castle and many shops. Staff are good but not used to saying hello every time you go out in the morning. Breakfast is really good and filling. Staff were a little disoriented by a request for a vegetarian meal, but chef came up trumps later on. Gala dinner is fun, but - beware - the truly awful table wine is not complimentary (18 euros for a 'vintage' less than a year old) and other charges (water with dinner and daily tourist tax) do pop up on your bill. Staff can appear a little indifferent, turning away subconsciously, when you ask questions. Great pool and spa. Definitely going back...

+ Un albergo fantastico con un grande personale! Consigliatissimo!!!

Old style rooms and furniture, looks interesting. Poor noise insulation. Curtains let significant light in.
The furniture is inefficiently placed in the room, so the space is broken up into small not very useful nooks. For example, the long axis of the bed is aligned with the short axis of the room – it should be aligned with the long axis.
Room ceiling about 3 metres high, lower in the bathroom. The ceiling lamp is a plus – most hotels don’t have one.
The joint bathroom-toilet is average size, so could not have been separated into two rooms, which would have made it more practical. The shower stall is tiny, about 60cm by 60cm, so the elbows are hitting the walls when washing. The accordion screen around the shower stall does not move very well, so is annoying to close. The ventilation in the bathroom is noisy, but inefficient. The water pressure is strong, which is good. The toilet does not flush properly despite the large quantity of pressurised water used in it - probably some design flaw. Good thick toilet paper.
The air conditioning works very well – the room can be made quite cold.
There is no desk, only a chest of drawers with a lid that can be folded out to a very small table. There is no light above this table – funnily enough, the bathroom is very well lit, much better than the desk area in the room. The table lamp is weak and there is only one power outlet next to the table – either plug in the lamp, the TV or your laptop, but not the other two. Overall the room seems to have only two power outlets. The bathroom has a third.
Impractical British-style tap knobs: separate for hot and cold water. At least there is a single tap and also the shower’s water temperature can be regulated with a standard lever. Very short tap - the water comes out close to the back wall of the sink.
The sauna and steam room on floor „-2” have space for 4 people each and are working, though somewhat worn and looking dirty. There are many massage rooms and two pools about 4m by 4m in dimensions on floor „-2”. The sauna, steam room and thermal pools and swimming pool are only open 7:30-19. The outdoor pool is a small children’s pool, not a lap swimming one. It is very warm. It is a 10-minute walk to the beach from the parking lot at the back of the hotel.
Wide selection of desserts at breakfast, but the other food is limited. Large breakfast area with plenty of seating, but not much space to move between tables, and there are some traffic jams at the buffet.
