Hotel Tiempo in Naples

This was first of 2 hotels we stayed in while visiting Naples. If you want the bare minimal, this hotel will work fine. If you are staying with your family and plan to walk, do not stay here. The area is all industrial. Taxi into town can be under 20 euro. The hotel is within walking distance from a metro. Staff was not very helpful when it came to any help, besides ordering a taxi. It appears the hotel has been under construction for quite a few years. No restaurant or bar as stated on Expedia. There is a restaurant in the hotel across the alley, that is associated with Hotel Tiempo. I would not recommend. Our food was served cold. We sent back our almost full plates, no one asked why. I do not trust receiving replacement food, we decided to not go back. There are signs all over the hotel that say you can not bring in any food from another source. No take-away food allowed. I understand it's you have a rodent or insect problem to not allow other food in, but they offer room service. If you do not want anyone in your room and put the sign up to not have your room made up, they come in anyway. I assume to be sure you do not bring in any food from another restaurant. The next hotel we stayed at was a little more expensive but 100% better with everything. I would recommend Hotel Vergilius Billia. Pleasant staff, better location, better accommodations, and great food. Restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. Hoping to help the next traveler.

Hotel Tiempo is a sister hotel to Hotel Magris across the road.
Tiempo has lovely welcoming staff who are very helpful. The hotel is however basic, and shows signs of being tired and needing renovating.
There's no evening restaurant and no bar , this is in other hotel.
There is no tea coffee facilities in the room.
Most of the pictures Ive seen on here i think are of sister hotel. There is a free evening shuttle , although we waited for the 8pm ride to the city for ages and no one showed.
Breakfast is continental which you help yourself to, and hot food egg, sausages ,toast is served for you , just say what you want.
Our room was clean , but the one time we had house keeping in they never shut door properly .
The area is in the industrial sector, run down and a 10 min walk to local metro.

I stayed for the first week of October 2025. The hotel was undergoing renovations that I hadn't been notified about prior to booking with British Airways. There were few hotel facilities, no coffee machine in room, dreadful breakfast, no bar on site and very noisy Soundproofing non existent, made worse by the building works. My balcony didn't get any sun. Regarding service. Seemed to be friendly but when I booked through reception for an excursion sightseeing I had to pay in cash. Card not allowed. The excursion fell apart after the first point. Not the best holiday I had hoped for

terrible service — I was locked outside several times because there was no one at the reception. I arrived tired and had to wait for someone to show up and open the door for me. The location is also awful. Even though it’s technically ‘close’ to the metro, I felt unsafe walking alone, especially since it’s an industrial area with lots of men on the street making inappropriate comments. There’s also nothing nearby for lunch or dinner (just the "hotel restaurant" which is expensive. On top of everything, I had to leave at 5 a.m. for my flight and wasn’t even given a breakfast kit, which is usually offered when guests leave before breakfast hours. I was staying on the third floor, supposedly the top floor, and yet there was still a lot of noise coming from other rooms, the hallway, and even from upstairs (which doesn’t make much sense?)
