Grand Hotel Duomo

The room was good! Nice beds, but small shower and not much water pressure.
The real problem was the staff at the breakfast. The reception staff for the check-in was nice, polite and really helpful. But at breakfast, even that it finishes at 10am and we arrived at 9h20 there was no more bread (just two cream croissant and we were four -with kids- and did not want anything sweet). We asked if they could replace the breads that were out. And the lady just looked and said there was no more bread and left. There was no apologies or trying to help any other way… rude and unkind attitude! Poor experience!

With a very strategic location "a stone's throw away" from the Pisa Tower and almost 20 min walk from Pisa Central Station with the possibility of taking several buses ~ 15 min (Bus lines 2,70, 80, 120 , 130, 1+, 3+, 13 & 4), this hotel offers a magnificent view of Pisa Tower from its bar located on the 5th floor. However, the 4 star rating seems undeserved for this establishment due to the poor quality of the rooms (mold in the shower, opening/closing of doors not smooth at all, non-functional safe, degraded furniture)

Now when we booked this hotel it stated it was a 4* hotel. Unfortunately I wouldn't class it as 4*.
The staff were brilliant, very welcoming and friendly. Spoke very good English.
Rooms were disappointing, TV didn't work, it didn't pick up any reception even though it was meant to have Sky. No kettle in the room for tea or coffee, no bottles of water other than paying for the mini bar. Shower was very small with trickles of water coming out. Dated rooms and furniture.
The location was brilliant, only 2mins away for the tower of Pisa, restaurants as soon as you walk out of the hotel.
The hotel bar is one of the winning features for this hotel, rooftop terrace which looks over the mountain peaks and the tower, again very good service in the bar.
We only stayed for one night which was worth it, if I was staying for longer than a day or two I probably would want a hotel more comfortable and with something more about it.

Rooms were quite average, needs renovation but has a good view.
We had a complimentary breakfast in the morning, the food was good.

The front desk people were quite friendly and helpful.
The hotel also arranged for a taxi from hotel to Station the next day, charged 15 euros.

Located on a very walkable distance to Pisa Tower.
Lots of restaurants around.

The hotel has a rooftop place to eat, with a wonderful view of leaning tower of pisa and the city.
