AC Hotel Pisa by Marriott

Dear AC Hotel Pisa Management,

I am writing to formally express my strong dissatisfaction with the breakfast service during my stay on 20/11/2024. On three separate occasions, while I was still consuming my meal, staff members prematurely cleared my table without any inquiry or permission. The most egregious incident occurred when I briefly left to get coffee, only to return and find my breakfast had been removed in my absence.

This pattern of behavior is not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful, significantly detracting from the quality of my stay. I expect immediate corrective action to address this issue and prevent future occurrences.

Hotel guests beware READ THE FINE PRINT !
2 days before even staying there this hotel took 778€ from my account me thinking nothing of it though great well the hotel is paid I don’t need to worry. Yeah think again when checking out they charged me again for 800€ saying that the first payment was just a deposit for the days you were staying that will be released back into your account in 2 days. Unfortunately that was not the case after 3 phone calls to the hotel and 6 days of waiting I received my 778€ back. I highly recommend you don’t stay here it’s a real shame as the restaurant is great except the lady with the red hair and who wears glasses who seems to think it’s ok to talk to the staff in a very rude manner in front of guests, I think she is either the head waiter and the rooms were ok except the insect issue. A lot of mosquitoes were in the room when we arrived.

The hotel is far from the center by mass transit (15min by taxi, about $13 to get to the tower, or 40min by mass transit with a transfer at the train station. No bus to the hotel after 9:30pm).
Walls are paper thin. We can hear everything around us from the cleaning crew, to cellphone conversations, to coughing, to people walking in the hallways.
AC is turned off at night for whatever reason. Room was too hot at night.
Breakfast is just so-so. Grocery store quality pastries. Staff was overwhelmed and disorganized and couldn't get us coffee until we were done with breakfast.
It was hard to get a sheet (because we don't need a duvet in a 22C room!). When we got one the 2nd day, the cleaning staff took it back in the morning...
Mattress was old, bed frame was shaky and noisy. We would wake each other up every time we moved.
The bathroom has a glass door with a huge gap underneath. So it doesn't block light nor sound.
Black out curtains are good.
Big tub.
Lobby is decent. Free coffee in the lobby.
This is definitely not a $200/night hotel.
