Note: due to the proximity to the station occasionally heard the noise of the trains.

A great hotel in central Sorrento. Only a very short walk from the station. The staff were friendly and helpful. An easy walk to all the sites of Sorrento without feeling too busy. Rooms were nice with a comfy bed and good bathroom. WiFi was good with no issues. The hotel has a very nice pool and two large spa pools that all are amazing after a long day of walking. The bars are also nice, with a nice view of the town. The only thing to be aware of is the hotel is not very accessible friendly, as even though there are lifts, there are steps to climb as soon as you get out. The hotels laundry service was also very expensive, especially considering there are lots of coin laundries near by (although the prices are probably standard for a hotel of this kind in Italy). Overall would definitely stay again and loved our time at the hotel!

Stayed in a spacious renovated room with small balcony facing the street (a little noisy, but not terrible). Comfortable bed, large bathroom with plenty of counter space. Just missing a full length mirror.
I had just missed breakfast my first day so they brought me a cappuccino and some sweets to the outdoor terrace, which was very nice.

Hotel Micheleangelo was a wonderful experience! Even though our plans changed and we left early we had a wonderful time. Staff were always so pleasant and helped with every request we had. Our room was lovely, spacious, comfortable and very quite. They were so kind to give us a upgrade on our room, due to it being our Honeymoon! We spent a lot of time on the 5th floor sky bar, they were friendly and genuine. We will be back to celebrate our first year anniversary with them 100%!

This hotel is in a great location very close to train and the bus station.
Given the train station runs directly behind the hotel, I recommend requesting a room away from this as it’s SO noisey!
The beds aren’t the most comfortable either.
The staff are all very friendly & accomodating. The 3 different pool, spa, roof top areas are great.

Wonderful old world experience at hotel Michelangelo. Just a short walk from the city center, the hotel was perfect. And we had a balcony that overlooked the front of the hotel. Our room felt quite spacious as did the bathroom. The bedding was comfortable and provided us with a good night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic; and Dino who works at the restaurant, has a smile which can brighten anyone's day. There is a pool, a hot tub, in several areas where you can either Sun yourself or sit in the shade. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Sorrento.

Hotel was fine, stayed here for 1 night. Bed was comfortable but the double room was actually 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single bed sheets which I wasn't too keen on.
The decor was old but everything was clean.
I was staying close to the stairs so it was a little bit noisy with people walking up and down or to the rooms.
I asked if there was any shaving kits/foam, which isn't essential but a lot of 4 star hotels would usually stock this, but that's just a minor detail.

The hotel is quite old. We took an economy room since we planned to spend most days venturing to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri. The room was okay but the air conditioning was not nearly cool enough for the 30+ degree temperatures. The bed was not very comfortable. The worst part was the shower, you could barely turn around in it, as it was a small corner-installed unit. The toilet and bidet are almost right up against the sink (see photos). The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included, and it was decent enough but nothing notable. Worst was the pool - very old and small, and somewhat dirty. No bar on the pool level, only on the “rooftop lounge” where there is a tiny jacuzzi which I wouldn’t dare step in. The best part was the location, as you could walk everywhere easily. I’m not sure about other hotels in the area but I’d recommend checking elsewhere first.

Highly recommend staying at Hotel Michelangelo if you're visiting Sorrento or other towns on the coast. It's in a great location - with a short walk to the central part of town, the train station (and bus stop for the Amalfi Coast), and the ferries. The hotel itself is nice, with recently refurbished rooms and air conditioning! The price was also very reasonable for the convenience and the quality of the rooms.

Overall, a nice hotel in a beautiful small city. They have a great 5th floor bar to sit outside and enjoy a drink while enjoying the beautiful weather and fresh air. I’d recommend staying here for your trip to Sorrento. Pools were a bit lackluster though. Rooms on higher floors have a lot of noise from the bar that’s open until midnight.

Incredible hotel! We stayed for 4 nights in April 2024 and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the staff are so friendly and especially Mario he couldn’t do enough for us! My partner proposed to me on the top terrace so it’s a very magical place in my heart, Mario helped him organise it with a bottle of champagne and candles, it was just perfect! Thank you to all the team at Michelangelo Hotel xxx
