This was my favorite hotel during my recent trip to Italy. The staff, from front desk and maintenance to housekeeping and food and beverage, were professional and friendly. In particular, the housekeeping staff made sure the room was impeccable twice a day, which was a five-star service. The breakfast room was magnificent. To get the best view over the river, don’t forget to get there early in the morning! The breakfast buffet had a variety of options, and the coffee was made upon order. The location was central to most of the attractions. I’d be more than happy to stay here again if I am in Florence.

Class, comfort, everything you’d want in the heart of Florence. We always make this home base.
The breakfast is another experience so many options set in basically a museum with painted ceilings, Franco made it extra special and is wonderful.
Michela Max Mirco at the front desk so friendly, everyone wonderful. Made it feel like home. Ask them for a recommendation on anything!
They have security at night to ensure safety, Abdul is top notch security. It’s so peaceful beautiful rooms nice, great price for all you get and location!
Everything is very clean, great value, lovely all around. Love it here!

It's really the worst hotel ever. In a strange double-decker room, a bug came out of the bed, maybe a bedbug or a tick, so I told the reception, and they just kept saying thank you for letting me know. The taxi that the hotel called me dropped me off at a remote destination and asked for a ridiculous price. When I complained on the phone and they said it wasn't their fault in a horrible manner. The city of Florence was really beautiful, but by experiencing this hotel, I don't want to come back ever again.

In our very long stay in Tuscany we went to several different hotels and this was one of the best ones.

The room was great and the location was perfect.

The staff here will do anything to help, they were great, with lots of recommendations. They flagged this place called La Chicca Boutique Restaurant and it was one of the best meals of our lives.

Strongly recommended, great hotel.

This hotel is such an oasis right in the middle of all the action in Florence. Enjoyed the rooftop views and cocktails so much - and a special thank you goes to Giacomo for his creative cocktail presentations. The hotel kindly organized a daytrip into the Chianti region for our family via one of their partners- ask for Massimo. He’s the greatest and most thoughtful guide!

Our hotel room was on the first floor (same as the breakfast area) and it was worn down and smelly. The toilet was an old design and quite odd. Maybe it was from late 1800s? It required multiple forceful pushes to generate a single flush. And sometimes another round of flushing was required. The shower was equally sad for this price class. I have stayed at motels with better showers.

I cannot recommend this hotel for the price we paid. Based on the state of our room I would have expected to pay half the price that I was charged.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The location is superb. The room was great - very spacious, overlooking Ponte Vecchio. Very high ceilings. Spotlessly clean. Despite being so close to the touristy sites, the room was surprisingly very quiet. The breakfast room is superb - very large, with vaulted painted ceiling. Lots of tasty food choices for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and professional.

The best location, best service people and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was superb. Their plain croissants, amazing. My kids ate 2-3 each. Franco, the head of their breakfast lounge, was so kind and funny. We all love him. He treated us so well. Actually every personnel in this hotel were good. The rooms were clean every day.

A lovely hotel with a spectacular location. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially the head waiter at the breakfast service. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to many major attractions and is just a charming place.

Other rooms may vary (we saw some that seemed renovated), but our lofted king-size room (no view) was creaky, a bit smelly (of mold? ancient skin leavings over decades? not clear), and worn out. The complementary breakfast was excellent-- the best of all 3 hotels we visited in Italy, with a wide selection of items. The location is also excellent, right next to the Uffizi gallery, but the area can be crowded and unpleasant at busy times.
