Palazzo Montebello in Florence

I have had the opportunity to try several hotel breakfasts during my travels and the one at Palazzo Montebello did not match the hotel’s standard. There wasn’t much variety.
On the other hand, the room was absolutely beautiful, as was the bathroom: very clean, spacious, and well maintained. The hotel itself is lovely, full of charm, and the lounge area is particularly pleasant.
The more delicate point concerns the staff. I found part of the staff not very welcoming, which made the experience somewhat awkward at times. This was the first time I have ever felt this way in a hotel. With the exception of two or three staff members who were kind and professional, some did not greet us.
I think the overall experience could have been improved with a warmer attitude from the staff. Again, the hotel is truly beautiful, well decorated, and has a very lovely outdoor space.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a very accessible neighborhood, we could walk everywhere easily, and it felt safe even 10-11 pm. Inside, the hotel was clean with a consistently pleasant scent throughout. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was good and the room itself was quiet, comfortable, and nicely maintained. The only thing were that the bathroom didn’t have a vent and the room cleanliness was decent but not spotless. Still, overall it was a good and enjoyable experience and I would consider staying here again.

This is a review for a recent July stay at Palazzo Montebello. As someone who frequently travels for work in the US, I was impressed by the professional service at this property, despite it not being part of a major hotel chain and being an independent property. The Front Office team was very professional and welcoming. A huge thank you to both Sara and Darius. Sara was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a smooth arrival. Sara personally showed the property and provided a thoughtful intro to the hotel and its amenities. Sara's level of service and attention to detail was impressive. When I extended the stay, Darius from the Front Office personally offered to assist. Genuine efforts were made to locate a comfortable room for the extension, and Darius personally helped me arrange the move to the new room, also providing excellent recommendations on attractions, sights, and dining options. The guest rooms and suites at this hotel are very new and comparable to those at major hotel chains. Excellent furnishings and LED lighting are featured throughout, complemented by exceptional sound insulation to ensure a comfortable stay. Palazzo Montebello provided great comfort and convenience, as all the major sights in Florence were within walking distance. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, thanks to the professional team at Palazzo Montebello. I recommend this property to guests seeking a comfortable stay and the convenience of walking to the city center's historic sights in Florence.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to Florence, and the experience was truly wonderful. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city—and the hotel itself is beautiful and sparkling clean. The staff couldn’t have been more amazing: warm, professional, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their courtyard garden is absolutely lovely, and the whole atmosphere feels so welcoming, like a home away from home. We’re already planning to stay here again on our next visit to Florence!

The location is very good. It is close to the city center and convenient to go everywhere. However, you need to book in advance, otherwise it will be too last minute. The number of rooms is limited and it will be expensive.

The hotel is so beautiful. This is my favorite garden hotel in this European trip.
