First the views from the rooms are spectacular over looking the Gulf of Naples! 😍
The grounds are absolutely stunning with lots of tropical trees and are beautifully landscaped. We took 17 of our customers Th ere on a food, wine and culture trip and they all thanked us for such a breathtaking view from their rooms. The breakfast buffet was okay, it was a bit heavy on the breads/carbohydrates for me. The interior of the of the hotel was all different hues of blues to match the Gulf of Naples!

I will start by saying the only reason this is a two star review rather than one is the staff. They were always polite, professional and courteous. Beyond that, I do not understand how this could ever be considered a five star hotel. Please review the photos and be the judge. On our first night we were in three different rooms, as we were awakened at 3am by the sound of water leaking from the roof through our ceiling. We were moved to a second room where we tried to open a window to get some air and found dozens of ants inside the room on the window sill. Our third room was acceptable, although a downgrade. The carpets in the corridors are stained, worn and generally disgusting. The rooms feature mildew stained grout in the bathrooms, corroded mirrors and missing door stops (featured in all three of our rooms) that are great to step on/trip over. The furniture in the room is old, worn and stained. Breakfast is terrible, to the point that we stopped going. The pastries taste as if from the three day old shelf at the local grocery. The eggs are watery, the potatoes taste like they have been frozen and reheated multiple times. I didn’t go near the bacon. Stale bread is featured along with meats and cheeses. Beware the hotel shuttle that drops you off at the “center of town”. It drops you off on a random street corner, a 10 min walk to the actual center of town. At a two star 150€ euro a night hotel all of these things would be expected and acceptable. At 460€/night it’s entirely unacceptable and well below the standards of any hotel we’ve ever stayed at.

I had the most amazing 3 day stay at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorento. The hotel has the most amazing views of the sea anywhere - the rooms are quiet and the beds very comfortable. It was five star service. The restaurant is outstanding and I had some great meals.

I have to add that Jana arranged a private day tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum which was a real highlight of my stay. The shuttle to downtown Sorrento was very handy. I would highly recommend staying here it’s really worth it.

We have stayed three times at this hotel and we love everything about it! The staff are wonderful and help in any way they can to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast and the view is one of my favourite things here but there are so many more; the pool is never overcrowded and it is so clean, the terrace and gardens are so beautiful and well maintained, the rooms are clean, fresh and the beds and bedding aid an excellent nights sleep and the beach is the perfect place to relax!
My husband and I celebrated our silver wedding anniversary here in June and it was magical!! Giuseppe, the Director of Events, made it so easy to arrange a seamless celebration for us. The menu was amazing, the decor, flowers, music, setting and fabulous attentive staff made it the most wonderful experience for us that we will treasure forever! Thank you Hotel Parco Dei Principi.

Stayed here with my husband and son and loved everything about it. The room was clean and comfortable. Every meal we had was superb and the service as well. Relaxed during the day by the private beach and took the complimentary shuttle to the town every night. Would definitely stay here again.

Don't miss the sunsets they are dreamy!

Nice hotel, but don’t bother with the shuttle. With the amount of money this place is racking in, how hard would it be to add another shuttle? It comes every 2 hours, and you have to make a reservation for it in advance. It’s a big hotel so the van is usually full of other guests and you can’t use it. Would have appreciated a better explanation of this and the amenities at check in. A shuttle is so necessary since it is quite far from the town center overall. Otherwise you are stuck paying $25+ every time you want to go to town and come back. Poor communication overall from the staff. Also the pool and OCEAN access open late and close early. Not great to limit your guests like this. Ate an expensive dinner that was not very good. While the ambience is great, it could be better.

We loved how slow and peaceful this hotel and location were in Sorrento. The views were amazing. It was a little bit of a walk from everything but the tranquility of the experience made it worth it. The room were clean and our room had a great double corner window. The black out curtains helped to sleep in and enjoy the vacation rest.

This was a very unique hotel but our stay was complicated by some major problems.

The positives were that the hotel was visually stunning and had fascinating interior design reminiscent of classic 1960s Italy. It had a wonderful beach area with a swimming cove, massive botanical gardens, and a chic swimming pool.

The problems started when I ate a fish sandwich prepared by the Blue Bar after checking in. After about 2 hours, my entire body developed an anaphylactic-like reaction. This is strange because I had never had food allergies before, but after going to the emergency room, we discovered it was due to histamine poisoning from improperly stored fish. This may have been a result of improper storage by the fisherman and may or may not have been the hotel’s fault, but they should still obtain their food from reputable sources. And to top it all off, they did not even remove the sandwich from our bill (despite having to pay ER fees!)

After getting back from the hospital, we noticed the rancid smell of sewage permeating throughout our entire room. We brought this up to staff and they simply sprayed a perfume to unsuccessfully mask the odor. We also noticed that this was not unique to our room, and to a lesser degree also affected common areas such as the lobby, elevators down to the beach, and the gym.

At the end of the stay, we were very excited to check out and move to a different hotel where we were not made sick by the food or the smells.

We stayed here for a few nights on our honeymoon, and we will be back 100%! We stayed in a superior room with a sea view and loved it. The location gives you these incredible sunsets and a constant view of Mount Vesuvius!!

We used a travel agent for our trip, and beforehand, they told us the rooms were slightly dated, but the property was stunning. Knowing that, my expectations were low for the rooms, but honestly, we loved our room, and it was so spacious! It's a more simplistic mid-century modern style because it echoes the original design. There's a lot of history in the design and furniture, and we were fascinated by the background! The only things that felt dated to us were the hallways leading to the rooms and the gym, which didn't really matter.

The property itself is HUGE! There is a beautiful garden as you drive in that you can get a tour of or walk on your own, a pool that we didn't get to use too much because we were primarily at the beach, and a gorgeous terrace where you can get drinks,, or food or just hang out. There's a private beach and jetty with beach chairs to which you can take an elevator or traverse down the cliff. There's also a restaurant and bar down there, and we ordered pizzas at the beach, and it was some of the best pizza we had on our trip!! There's also a shuttle from the hotel to the city center, or you can walk there, which is about a 25-minute walk. We did both the shuttle and the walk, and it's just up to how you feel!

One of the best parts was the breakfast!!! You get to look out at the coast, the Tyrrhenian Sea, and Mount Vesuvius while sipping your cappuccino. The buffet has great options, the view is stunning, and the staff is wonderful. I wish I was there right now!!

The only regret of our stay was not staying longer. We look forward to coming back!

The hotel is beautiful and only about a 20 minute easy walk from the city center. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful terrace/balcony that had a great view of Vesuvius and the bay. The food and service at Gio Ponti restaurant was excellent at dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
