Really nice hotel just a few blocks from Ortigia. The service is very welcoming and there for anything you might need. The room was large and had everything you could need. Just one note on noise, if your room is on the first floor (2nd in the US), you may hear breakfast/dinner service. Not ideal but nothing I could do about that! The only stress we had was trying to find parking in the morning to load the luggage when we were leaving, but that is just the dynamic of the area and still far easier than somewhere within Ortigia itself.

Is this a five-star hotel? Why does it show five stars on trip.com? The room is only 15 square meters, with basic amenities and a damaged bathroom wall. There's no pool, and there's a jacuzzi on the rooftop that looks unused. You have to pay an extra 50€ to use it. The hotel only has one restaurant, so it shouldn't even be rated three stars! Paying 177€ a night for a hotel like this is sheer robbery.

The hotel was truly lovely, clean and in a perfect location for all our jaunts; we were greeted warmly by all staff we encountered. The included Buffet Breakfast was varied and fresh. We did not try the in-house restaurant but the menu was very interesting snd upscale. I highly recommend the Caportigia Boutique Hotel and we would gladly stay again!

Save your money - pick another hotel
A/C in the room was unable to keep room at a temperature that was even close to comfortable. Upon arriving, there was zero attempt to assist with our bags or even show us the way to the room. Upon checkout, there was a gentlemen standing next to the desk simply watching my partner try to haul bags out to the waiting car while I was waiting for the slowest ever check out process to proceed. Zero attempt to help was made by the staff. If this was a 3 star, it would make sense. They bill themselves as a 5 star - there is zero about this hotel or the staff that says 5 star. Barely even 4.

We stayed at the Caportigia for 4 days at the beginning of April after staying at a couple of AirBnB's in Italy. I travel often for business and was thoroughly impressed with the location, service, room and friendliness of the staff!
We would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying there again on our next trip to Siracusa!

A real gem- perfectly located, still quiet. Extremely happy staff who want you to feel welcome. Will be back. Comfortable bed, body lotion, mouthwash, coffee and tea maker. A real eye for detail. Loved it very much there.

Valentina and all her staff are truly amazing and nice people. Wether it was the waiter at the breakfast or the reception they made us feel welcome. Too bad we went in low season, as we didn't manage to eat dinner in their restaurant (seems amazing from what I've read). We booked suite room 205 since it was my birthday, and everything was really nice and comfortable. On an occasion the pods in the Nespresso machine finished, I emailed Valentina and the front desk called straight away, and brought me more at no additional cost. They were also kind enough to let our pet with us, the pet fee is 30 euro but they bring you a pet bed, bowls and diaper for your little one, he was truly comfortable. The breakfast was high class one of the best I've ever taken and location is in a nice and quiet area in syracusa opposite a picturesque park. If ever in the area I would stay again there 👍👍
