Beautiful sea, beach was clean, and cliff side area is really nice. Overall service was good overall, however, there is also a few downside: It's about 15 mins from town, and there is nothing around the resort. You will be looking at 40 euro one way to go to town. If you decided to have meals at the hotel, they are charging about 30% higher than local restaurants, and their food standard is not that...
very pleasant surprise – beautiful hotel and location Our stay at Minareto was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel is beautifully designed and perfectly maintained, with great attention to detail in both architecture and landscape design. The gardens and vegetation are arranged with real taste, creating a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. The private beach is truly special — set in a quiet, protected...
Fell in love with the pictures of the sandy beach, which indeed is lovely. The hotel however has two types of rooms - the smaller in 80s styles, while some suites and family rooms are beautifully renovated. We had book a standard double room, and did not feel it was at 5 star level because of size and quality of bathroom. We complained and were upgraded for the last night. Otherwise not consistently...
The location and facilities are excellent, but the service lacks any added value. There were no complimentary extras—not even a bottle of water per day. Prepare to buy everything! The boat ride costs €25 per person, including children, which feels excessive. Unlike other luxury hotels, there are no free on-site activities such as yoga sessions, water sports, or a kids club. Additionally, the area around...
I had an amazing stay at Minareto in Sicily, and the service was absolutely excellent. The atmosphere here is fantastic—relaxed yet luxurious, with stunning views of Ortigia, gorgeous pools, and a jacuzzi that’s perfect for unwinding. What really stood out was their WhatsApp service for requests—it’s so convenient and incredibly responsive. The staff went above and beyond to make everything special...
Amazing location with beautiful private beaches, one of sand, the other one of rocks overseeing the old city of Syracuse. Very smart WhatsApp communication with the hotel which enables you basically to get any food or beverage delivered anywhere you are in the complex

Beautiful old hotel with fantastic staff. Wonderful breakfast. Could do with updating and as others have said, the roof terrace drinks are over priced and the beach is fairly basic. Would stay again though.
The hotel itself is beautiful, in a great location, and the staff are excellent. They offer a private beach, but it costs $20 per person for the boat ride there and back. The boat ride was enjoyable, but it seemed unusual for a hotel of this caliber to charge for it. We were expecting a pristine beach and a nice spot for lunch. While the view of the city from the beach was stunning, the area was...
Beautiful rooms with excellent airconditioning, had a room on two floors which suited us perfectly. Lovely shower also. Best service from concierge, helpful with parking and sorting the room when we got off the boat. Perfect location. Highly recommend. Thank you Adriano for your kind help with our trip
A wonderful hotel with excellent service, beautiful decor, and spacious, elegant rooms. We also had access to their private beach, which was a fantastic bonus—quiet, clean, and truly relaxing. Our only regret was staying just one night at the Grand Hotel Ortigia. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay next time! Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay here. A historic, elegant hotel right on the waterfront, with helpful and cheery staff. We first had a room on the ground floor which was fabulous in classic decor and had very high ceilings but proved quite noisy, we could hear clearly guests and staff talking until late at night and from the early morning again. They changed us to a more typical, smaller room which was...
Very nice property in a perfect location. The meals here were very good and the service, especially the front desk was excellent.

Awesome hotel in a great oceanfront location the room upgrade was amazing with a view of the harbor and mount Etna. Wonderful staff everywhere. I’ve huge pool and gym. Walking in the old city is very cool at night. Easy parking. I could live here forever.
Where do I start. The service right from pulling up to the front was just impeccable. Gianluca was just amazing...give that man a raise. The room was beautiful and had the most perfect views...absolutely spotless and everything worked. It is the perfect location for exploring the town... It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in recently. Breakfast was perfect and the bar was amazing...
My husband and I stayed in many hotels throughout Sicily and this was by far our best experience. The service, aesthetic, and location are incredible...almost magical. Alessandro and Angelo were so welcoming, helpful and informative - many thanks for a great stay!
Great location to walk everywhere. The Room was great with beautiful staircase and comfortable bed. Staff was great especially our Bartender who greeted us every night with our usual night cap 🍸 I woke up every morning ready for the Delicious Italian Breakfast!! So yummy There is something to be said about Sicily in December. Few tourist and friendly locals. Would definitely return to Ortea Palace...
The hotel has the perfect location and a stunning foyer. We were so excited for our stay here and pleased that we were upgraded to a suite based on our Marriott status. Upon arrival, we were treated to a refreshing drink in the hotel bar, which was very welcome in the heat. However, when we went to our 3rd Floor room, we were horrified of the sewage smell in the hallway. It was there for our whole...
This hotel and staff is amazing. Everyone was really fantastic especially Concetta at the front desk who tirelessly helped with resolving a lost bag issue we had with the airline. She as well as others help plan excursions and walking trips for sightseeing. We are experienced travelers and this hotel stood out as one of our favorites. Amazing hotel we enjoyed our stay . The rooms are absolutely stunning and the breakfast is great - lots of choice and also gluten free options . The hotel has amazing views as well
The hotel is amazing, it is located next to the see and the view from the room is amazing. The roof top bar at the top floor with the restaurant overlook the port and we enjoyed the sunset from there. Cocktail queen Milena is a must. Lovely hotel with large natural setting which is very peaceful. The staff are wonderful and the service is top notch. The breakfast bar is really good. You need a vehicle as it's a ten minute drive to Syracuse. Overall a very nice experience.
I stayed here for a week in November .Impeccable service from reception till cleaning stuff.Everyone spoke good English.Delicious Sicilian food served at the restaurant.Huge portions!Spacious nicely decorated room with garden and Jacuzzi outside.Had a great three sessions of deep tissue combined with hot stones massage with Rosa .
Nice hotel, nice outdoor area with plenty of places to relax. spa is very luxourious and equipped ok. Service is really friendly. Overall, nothing to complain about.
The hotel is by itself a nice scene in the countryside Sicilie. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by field. Not very far from the city by car. The facilities are either new or well maintained. The service can be offered in English and the stuffs are professional and kind. We enjoyed the Sun a lot in the afternoons outside next to the pool.
Always exceptional. I stayed at this hotel with my wife and daughters from October 16th to 24th, and here you are not just a room number — you are treated as a unique individual. You are always at the center of attention, and you truly feel like a prince. It was my second stay, and each time I leave, I can’t wait to come back. Perhaps I did not stay at the same hotel as others describe. I was at the Principe di Fitalia in October, at a time when I needed to put behind me a difficult moment in my life, and I chose this place following the recommendation of a relative. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Room and breakfast excellent. Easy to walk to the Port etc.
Is this a five-star hotel? Why does it show five stars on trip.com? The room is only 15 square meters, with basic amenities and a damaged bathroom wall. There's no pool, and there's a jacuzzi on the rooftop that looks unused. You have to pay an extra 50€ to use it. The hotel only has one restaurant, so it shouldn't even be rated three stars! Paying 177€ a night for a hotel like this is sheer robbery
The hotel was truly lovely, clean and in a perfect location for all our jaunts; we were greeted warmly by all staff we encountered. The included Buffet Breakfast was varied and fresh. We did not try the in-house restaurant but the menu was very interesting snd upscale. I highly recommend the Caportigia Boutique Hotel and we would gladly stay again!
Save your money - pick another hotel A/C in the room was unable to keep room at a temperature that was even close to comfortable. Upon arriving, there was zero attempt to assist with our bags or even show us the way to the room. Upon checkout, there was a gentlemen standing next to the desk simply watching my partner try to haul bags out to the waiting car while I was waiting for the slowest ever check...
Really appreciate the warm services of the staff; we had a wonderful dinner with Valentina’s suggestion; Angelo made me a delicious lemon honey when he found I had a coarse voice. The Sicilian home recipe really worked ! While I would not call it a 5 stars hotel, it’s deco and warm hospitality is up to a very good boutique hotel. Recommended.

An absolute oasis ! Very central and a short distance to Ortigia, The staff is amazing the receptionist and the restaurant staff couldn’t be better, breakfast and dinner at its best will recommend and we will certainly visit again next year.
Very elegant and beautiful hotel. Set in lovely grounds, pool and sunbathing area beautiful. Breakfast on the lawn set you up for the days activity. On the outskirts of Siracusa, need to get a cab in and back to see sights costing around 20 euros each way. Staff were lovely and very friendly
The hotel itself was like a beautiful oasis in a not so attractive area of the city. The room was very nice and spacious and the pool was very nice as well.
Dejligt hotel i sin egen uforstyrret have. God service, rent og pænt værelse.
The setting is gorgeous and the room was very nice. But on the con side, there were a couple things. When we arrived to register we were asked if we wanted an iced tea. Excellent location, large and clean rooms, helpful staff, reasonable and simple breakfast (nothing more than that, you should add vegetables)
Based just outside of ortigia. Very basic hotel. Reception staff were reasonable but did not go out of their way. Rooms are outdated but the aircon was brilliant and bathrooms were good and clean. Breakfast was delicious and all great food.
Great Sicilian run hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Pleasing rooms. Hard to find anything to criticise. Syracuse visitors should stay here. Short walk to Ortigia
Loved our 2 night stay. First night was perfect, but second night was a little soured by the AC being turned off - the staff (at their desk 24/7) said it's turned off until May even though we had it on the previous night. The keys are heavy but can be left at the reception. A lot of free parking around the hotel. Breakfast variety is nice, pistachio cream is delicious. Big spacious room. A lot of mosquitos

Lots of choices for breakfast, from Eggs Benny to Pancakes and also Continental Breakfast. With each and every breakfast served...
Hotel, staff, food & service first class. Didn’t SPA so can’t comment. Golf course is horrific! Tried to discuss it with the desk staff and emailed the manager - not interested and no reply. By all means go and use the hotel but avoid the golf course which is a shame because there are a few well designed holes just in deplorable condition!
Unique structure for the silence and the well-kept greenery, well maintained. Excellent structure to rest, regenerate. It is located in a point where you can easily reach Syracuse, Noto, Avola, ... and the seaside areas
Large hotel facility (4 star hotel) located in a quiet area not too far from the cost and Syracuse. There is parking available on property. The rooms are spacious but are very “cold” and outdated. Ideal location to explore Ortigia. Apartment very clean with all required facilities. Breakfast better than the standard buffet. The staff made the experience very welcoming and comfortable by providing recommendations of local restaurants and cafes
We are loving our stay at this hotel even though it is February and the weather is wintry. Location ideal for exploring Ortigia, room very spacious and comfortable, large well equipped bathroom, excellent knowledgeable staff on reception and pleasant breakfast room. If there had been a bar area and hospitality tray in the bedroom would have given this 5 stars

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The location is very important as it is placed in an extremely well and quiet location at ortigia island. The main building is old. They renovated the rooms thought. The rooms are small but they are luxury enough. The breakfast is simple with Italian styling. The breakfast is served at the roof and the view is very nice.

We visited in mid June when it is hot, so were not that interested in the sauna/steam, but were a little surprised to have to ask the staff to prepare the area for us (to be fair it only took 5 minutes) - they go...
This is an excellent hotel, nothing bad to say about it. If staying in Ortigia, stay here. Breakfast was amazing too.

Close to station and Ortigia -clean and helpful - great staging post.
Very positive experience. Helpful owners, room with sea view, quiet and tidy daily with change of sheets and towels. Abundant breakfast with delicious donuts prepared by Mrs Elisa. Strategic location of the hotel a few steps from the bus station, from the station it is very close to the centre. Even though we didn't have a car, we moved around easily, visiting all the attractions. We were also able...
Had a week at the hotel and had a great experience. The staff were wonderful and helpful. On a bus route. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Just the place to explore from. Nice and relaxed, quiet and friendly Thanks and all the best from Brendan J Hynes
The location of the hotel is excellent, in a quiet pedestrian zone and very close to all main attractions. The staff were truly helpful, especially Christian who took great care of us during breakfast. Highly recommended!
The hotel is located in a strategic position, close to the center which can be easily reached on foot, spotlessly clean rooms and always helpful and smiling staff. The terrace where breakfast takes place is beautiful
Hotel with a central location, it is really very convenient to walk around the city center especially if you are on a trip, the staff is always helpful and friendly. Clean rooms, I am very satisfied

We stayed in an apartment (a separate building) facing the sea in a perfect location no more than 10 meters from the rocks above a swimming area. With high ceilings and a very comfortable bed in a loft area, the apartment felt spacious. Our host and hotelier Massimo is the soul of hospitality! We had a couple of glitches which he resolved speedily. A casual comment about lack of internet resulted in...
Excellent location near the water. The Nizza Suite was roomy with a living area on the ground floor and bedroom in a loft. Nicely decorated. The only downside was there was no Wi-Fi. The front desk staff was top notch and helped with reservations for restaurants and taxis and always immediately responded to texts.
I spent three nights at this lovely boutique hotel situated on a quiet street in Ortigia close to Via Roma. The historic building has been renovated beautifully. The suite was perfect with small kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom. There is a wonderful rooftop for sitting which overlooks the Ionian Sea. The breakfast at the Viola Cafe included with the room was a plus. Staff, especially Massimo, were...

This property is wonderful.. it's out in the country. Probably 20 miles from Saracusa, And that is what the issue is: If you drive to the property, no problem at all. But if you take a taxi, be prepared to exist on only the breakfast that they offer. The breakfast is wonderful, no hot food, but everything else you could ask for in a bed and breakfast-tyoe breakfast. But there is no lunch or dinner...
An excellent aparthotel, away from everything, yet within easy access to Syracuse and the beach. Owner and staff are just brilliant and very helpful. Had a blissful stay. Bus stop to Syracuse and Ortigia just round the corner.
Everything was very clean and peacefull! Also the owners were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful place clean rooms and garden with swimming pool

Amazing guy at the reception when we did check in 🙌🏻
Fantastic place near Syrakuza. Everything clean and comfortable. You can see that the Staff looks for every detail. The Staff od very kind and helpful. Especialy Izabela took care of us. The swiming pool od fantastic. Only thing that needs improvement is the breakfast. The choice is really poor. Could make it better with just small investments. More vegetables and fruits and Maybe some small hot options
Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very nice, and nothing is missing. We made use of the tea kettle, and the next day they supplied us with the flavor we had used. It was a simple but very nice service to receive. Clean place and absurd bathrooms. Very large shower and equipped with everything. Very nice and pleasant exterior. Lovely equipped outside gym. Gorgeous swimming pool. Only flaws:...
I spent a wonderful holiday with my family at the Albatros Hotel in Syracuse. The hotel stands out for its impeccable cleanliness and customer attention. The breakfast was rich and made up of fresh products, a real pleasure for the palate. Special thanks go to Mr. Giovanni, the hotel's night manager. His professionalism and deep knowledge of the area made our stay even more memorable. Thanks to his...
We spent several days in this hotel and we will certainly remember the kindness of all the staff and the enormous attention to cleaning. Our room was basic but right in size and truly perfect in terms of cleanliness. Very convenient location of the hotel. We relaxed in the beautiful outdoor pool, impeccably maintained by the very kind lifeguard. The property's large car park is also convenient. We...
Positive experience, definitely worth repeating. The staff were very kind and helpful. Really brilliant hotel in terms of cleanliness, it smells in there. The swimming pool is equally spotless, not even a single leaf on the ground. The lifeguard (Francesco, also very nice, kind and helpful), keeps it in impeccable condition. The breakfast was plentiful, nothing was missing. Location of the hotel very...

Stayed for two nights during our road trip. Good free parking, nice building, facilities and pool area. Communication with guests could be better. When we arrived there was a wedding party going on which resulted in extra noise that we were not expecting. Also if checking out on a Sunday you will not be allowed to use the pool as there is an "event" ongoing. This also came as a surprise to us. We had...
Very nice place with nice service and people. Good food for the price. A bit of a problem with the sound between rooms, since the noise from the room next to mine's bathroom was too loud so I woke up, but it could have been worse. Also the shower in my room was a bit weird and sprouted water from all the faucets at the same time (3). Also it's pretty far out from other civilisation so if you're the...
Not quite up to 4 stars we would say it's a 3. It's clean, and spacious, but we are here with only one or two other guest, but you can't get an upgrade, would not mind too much if the shower was modern and working well. This morning we woke to no running water, apparently the whole place was down, but why not slip a note under our door with a complimentary bottle of water so we can at least brush...

beautiful location, very quiet, private, unique. friendly stuff. love it all.
I was a guest in this beautiful place in August. Perfectly located near the most beautiful seaside resorts. Spacious and spotless rooms. Top catering, rich and tasty breakfast. Structure managed in an impeccable manner by Francesca, flanked by an excellent staff. The very kind Roberta who is always present and ready to satisfy customer requests. 5 stars are few, highly recommended I go back next season
An excellent structure within the protected area of Plemmirio where you can enjoy a relaxing holiday. Strategic position with respect to the main passages of the Plemmirio. 10 minutes from the center of Syracuse. Ideal for families with children. A beautiful well-maintained swimming pool with the attentive supervision of the lifeguard. Well-kept garden and exterior. Staff kind and helpful to guests...
Excellent place to relax and enjoy surrounding
Very nice hotel, dinner was good! Would be nice if they found a solution to reduce the number of flies at the swimming pool.
