Etna, they bay and rolling hills of Siracusa. This is a bucket list must stay resort for couples. Service was also top notch and all staff were extremely helpful and polite

The staff from the BF is very friendly, the manager behavior of the hotel is exceptional, he cares personally about the guest requests. We spent a pleasant time here

Very atmospheric place with history. Bit far from the city center, 30 minutes walk, but there are advantages in the form of free Parking, sobstennyh areas, large pool. The beach is conditional, paid

2 minutes walk from a lovely bar with veranda, a little further - a wonderful restaurant with a terrace over the sea (in front of the entrance to the beach)

But this hotel is not for a beach holiday and for excursions to Siracusa, if you are traveling by car through Sicily

Surrounded by many historycal and archaeological spots, located in the center of the town, this hotel has a magnificent park and a beautiful and open sea view. The dining room is impressive with two giants chandeliers.

Great hotel in awesome location. Breakfast on a terrace with a view on a sea is exceptional. There is also a private beach (we didn’t manage to check it though) and convenient parking next to the hotel

Slight inconvenience with the bed being in a loft (as was the bathroom) so that it was hot at night, & we had to go up a flight of stairs to use the toilet. The staff was uniformly friendly, helpful & accommodating

The hotel also has old world charm and while the rooms are a little dated and small in some aspects it makes up for it in charm, cleanliness and service. View from the rooftop terrace at breakfast is amazing and a must

The breakfast buffet was fabulous, with additional omelettes & dishes made to order included. All in all, this was a beautiful, luxurious hotel that brought me back to ages past, & we thoroughly enjoyed it

The location is fabulous, with everything of interest in Ortigia within walking distance. We had a couples massage, which was very relaxing. There is even a “Little Museum” of antiquities downstairs

It’s becoming more and more difficult to find service like the one provided by the team at grand hotel Ortigia these days at hotels in Italy. So enthusiast and willing to help where ever possible

The only private beach anywhere in Siracusa and just stunning design both inside and on the grounds. The staff is some of the best I’ve seen. It’s family run and they bend over backwards to make sure guests are happy

The room was very comfortable, and the private beach was so nice. I appreciate the attention to detail, it’s obvious they care about creating an enjoyable experience

Having read some of the negative complaints it’s obvious those guests were looking for a ‘deal’, were bad guests themselves or simply have no understanding of how much it costs to operate lodging at this level of perfection

We originally wanted to be in Ortigia thinking we’d be too far if we stayed in Siracusa. It’s a short mile walk to Ortigia and well worth it to stay here! The breakfast is out of this world! As are the lunch and dinners

I was lucky enough to be relocated to this hotel, following a disastrous air b n b booking. The room was very comfortable, on the ground floor, which I thought might be noisy, it wasn’t

The staff were all lovely and very helpful. One night I ate in the hotel, the food was incredible!! I highly recommend it. I had vongole spaghetti, the flavours were explosive

The staff were very helpful - we made a last minute booking because we had to do a late cancellation at an Airbnb. We stayed in the annex to the Samoa Beach at Arenella Rooms hotel - which was very comfortable.

Daniela and family were just amazing, they are what makes this accommodation so perfect! We arrived late, from the north, Daniela gave great advice and research all the time to help lower our stress that day

The strong point of the residence is that it is located a stone's throw from the beach, you can access either a free beach or the Nereidi beach which, however, is a platform to the left of the residence or the Arenella beach beach on the right

The residence is located about 30 meters from the sea where there is a free beach and 2 bathing establishments. From the rooms you can hear the song of the sea

We stayed 3 days in this structure practically on the sea. Very kind and extremely helpful managers. It is located 50 m from the sea with a choice of rocks or beach

Splendid sea! A few km from Plemmirio, a protected marine area, which offers glimpses of the splendid sea and surprising beaches

Air conditioning, fans, air shovel, garden chairs and tables, TV, fridge, crockery, outdoor barbecue, etc. The owners are lovely people and the daily price is among the cheapest in the area

We visited in mid June when it is hot, so were not that interested in the sauna/steam, but were a little surprised to have to ask the staff to prepare the area for us (to be fair it only took 5 minutes) - they go downstairs and turn on the lights, etc

We didn't see anyone in the restaurant in the evenings. There is also a rooftop 'garden' terrace and bar. we found a deserted terrace with 3 dying plants and no sign of a bar or any service

Nice looking hotel and well located within easy walking distance of most Ortigia sights. There is a ginormous jacuzzi in the basement, as well as a sauna, steam room and treatment rooms

There is a breakfast room and restaurant on the 4th floor, so beware those of you who don't want to hear scraping chair legs through the ceiling if you stay on the 3rd floor

The hotel is amazing, it is located next to the see and the view from the room is amazing. The roof top bar at the top floor with the restaurant overlook the port and we enjoyed the sunset from there

We had a great room with a lot of space and quite incredibly, a private roof top patio. Great location in Ortigia on the eastern side where you're still in the thick of things but not so much racket from cars and such

I usually don't post hotel reviews, but this was truly a great experience! The staff went above and beyond, helping me get ice for my knee twice a day, helping us with transportation, and generally showing a tremendous warmth and attention to detail

A very nice hotel. We stayed in one of the deluxe spa suites. The organic breakfast was quite good and there were vegan options including vegan croissants! The staff were nice.

It seems to be spread across a couple buildings. Public spaces are nice and the restaurant is a large comfy space. good thing too because there are a lot of people staying in this hotel

This hotel is highly rated for a reason. It's a very good, very comfortable hotel in an excellent location, at a great price

Both Apple Maps and Waze both had a different route that was much easier to drive. Highly recommend using either of those two apps instead of Google Maps. We will definitely stay here if we make a return trip to Ortigia

Our room was perfectly clean, the bed was super comfy - I wish all hotel rooms have the same quality of bed! Unfortunately we did not try the kitchen of the hotel which is a Michelin restaurant, but next time we definitely do

Walking around in the old town is easy, the charming main square as well as the see side are close proximity. I sincerely recommend this hotel to people who wish to stay in Siracusa old town

We payed 38 Euro for one night including breakfast. We had a big room comfortable beds. Build quality is not that good. But they are super friendly and helpful. The best deal I ever had for a hotel

The best spot to stay in this beautiful town. Friendly stuff, very good breakfast (not warm dishes like omelettes or fried eggs or any charcuterie) but a variety of local cheese, fresh fruit and juices

These are ancient Jewish baths. I recall the only ones in Europe

They were buried, literally, in the 15th cenury when the Jews were expelled from Syracuae, and found again when renovation work was undertaken in the hotel inbthe late 20th century

Ancient Jewish baths are very interesting. However 5 euro cost for guided tour seems steep considering it lasts less than 15 mins.

Cosy and lovely place in the heart of Siracusa. Staff tells you everything about sightseeings and assists parking in 100 meters in theater's basement. Breakfast was full of home-made delicious on the hotel roof

I'm currently on a Sicily trip where I booked my main stay in mondello. We decided to take a tour and drive to Syracus and stay here. This b&b is phenomenal!!!! It's tiny, beautiful, and authentic

Palazzo Gilistro is a perfect stay. Its location can't be beat, near to many restaurants and to the promenade for sunset views. Staff are friendly and helpful

Nice, helpful staff. The rooms are comfy and spaceous, and have all the commodities one might want. It's placed centrally, so getting around is easy.

Excellent location, included breakfast is excellent except for the one-coffee rule, stingy with towels, gorgeous roof-top seating area.

No car park for guest in front of the hotel because almost​ places are for local residence. If have luck can find free places but only if you have luck. If not paid 10€ per night to nearest car park

The sea view from the room was beautiful. The room itself was quite nice. The staff were very helpful when requesting a taxi or making reservations or asking about the area.

Great location very quiet and nice villa! Stefano is a great host and his breakfast is really really good! Very pet friendly and everything was clean and close by ortigia/beaches nearby! Also it is next to a saline area where you can see flamingos 🦩!
