The private beach is a true marvel: crystal-clear waters fed by natural freshwater springs, as owner Francesca explained to us — giving it the serenity and clarity of a saltwater pool. Swimming here, with the shimmering Ortigia peninsula just across the bay, was nothing short of dreamlike.

Cleanliness and care are maintained at a level few five-star properties ever reach. The entire team, led with heartfelt precision by Francesca and her enchanting daughter Laura, operates like a finely tuned Swiss watch — always present, always kind, never intrusive. Their warmth and attention to detail create an atmosphere of rare comfort and ease.

And when I unexpectedly fell ill, it was Laura and Francesca who immediately organized a doctor and even fetched the medication. Their generosity and speed were simply extraordinary — an act of care I will never forget.

Musciara is not just the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our Italian journey — it is one of the most memorable concepts we’ve ever encountered. It should be listed with every luxury travel curator in the world. And yet, there’s a quiet magic in how few people know about it — especially among German travelers.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time here. The entire staff was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especially Francesca who gave us perfect recommendations for dinners and drinks in Ortigia. The room was very comfortable, and the private beach was so nice. I appreciate the attention to detail, it’s obvious they care about creating an enjoyable experience.

We originally wanted to be in Ortigia thinking we’d be too far if we stayed in Siracusa. It’s a short mile walk to Ortigia and well worth it to stay here! The breakfast is out of this world! As are the lunch and dinners. The only private beach anywhere in Siracusa and just stunning design both inside and on the grounds.
The staff is some of the best I’ve seen.
It’s family run and they bend over backwards to make sure guests are happy.

Overwhelmed by the generous and thoughtful hospitality here. Francesca and the entire staff were incredible and attentive. Having read some of the negative complaints it’s obvious those guests were looking for a ‘deal’, were bad guests themselves or simply have no understanding of how much it costs to operate lodging at this level of perfection. I would recommend this stay to anyone visiting.

We spent three days at the hotel with my wife. It was a real pleasure, it was a great balance between luxury and simplicity. The staff was nice and always available and was careful of respecting our privacy. The private beach is the best in town and the breakfast is just amazing. We will miss Buddy( the nice dog).

3rd time staying here ,it must be one of the most unique hotels because of the sheer proximity to the water ,luxury and simplicity combine very well .
They made us feel part of the family ,will definitely be back .
