Ortigia Royal Suite in Syracuse

I spent three nights at this lovely boutique hotel situated on a quiet street in Ortigia close to Via Roma. The historic building has been renovated beautifully.
The suite was perfect with small kitchen, large bedroom and bathroom. There is a wonderful rooftop for sitting which overlooks the Ionian Sea. The breakfast at the Viola Cafe included with the room was a plus. Staff, especially Massimo, were friendly, helpful and available. I would return for sure.

We stayed in an apartment (a separate building) facing the sea in a perfect location no more than 10 meters from the rocks above a swimming area. With high ceilings and a very comfortable bed in a loft area, the apartment felt spacious. Our host and hotelier Massimo is the soul of hospitality! We had a couple of glitches which he resolved speedily. A casual comment about lack of internet resulted in him putting a router in our room within hours. I would only say that anyone with mobility issues would not be comfortable using the stairs to the loft.

Excellent location near the water. The Nizza Suite was roomy with a living area on the ground floor and bedroom in a loft. Nicely decorated. The only downside was there was no Wi-Fi. The front desk staff was top notch and helped with reservations for restaurants and taxis and always immediately responded to texts.

My wife and I spent two days in this wonderful hotel located right by the sea in the historical center of Ortigia. The suite is very big and has all the comfort you need. At breakfast we tried homemade strawberry and orange jam, pistachio crostata and other delicious food. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s located in a quite neighborhood and you can reach the main streets with restaurants and shops in few minutes.
