The only reason I give the room four stars is because it was a little small - but it was so charming with its brocade clad walls, antique furniture and Murano wall lights that it made up for what it lacked in size with an evocative sense of old Venice.
The staff were all very helpful and kind going above and beyond which soothed my stress at British Airways losing my luggage. The complimentary toiletries including toothbrush also helped smooth things for me.
Definitely recommend.
Service from the staff was also quite average except for the lovely lady who helped us with our heavy luggage and was very helpful to us.
Excellent location and is the hotel if you are literally only looking for somewhere to sleep.

Rooms are on the small side, but for the price and location, plus the fact most people will be out enjoying the city, it really doesn't matter. Would happily stay again if I return to Venice.
