My friend and I came from London for a weekend trip in April. What a great place to stay. The staff were amazing and so sweet. Check in was earlier and we didn’t arrive to our hotel until 11pm, the staff stayed until we got there which was very nice. Most things were closed because we arrived so late but the guy told us where to go to eat that was open and he was just such a lovely person. The hotel rooms were unique and very Venetian style which was the exact vibe we were going for. It was super clean and we were so shocked that it was rated a 3 star. I would give this place a 5 star overall because of how great our experience was. I would definitely go back:)

We stayed at hotel Santo Stefano for four nights on our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The room was small (we had a standard double) but was still comfortable. The best part is the hotel has seating on a beautiful square. We had breakfast and apperitivo there every day. The location was also excellent. About a five minute walk to Accademia where there is a vapporetto stop and about 10-15 minutes from San Marco and Rialto.

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was lovely! The staff is incredibly helpful and sweet. The location is great, super clean and the restaurant next door makes amazing lasagna at an incredible price. If you’re an expedia vip they offer you a bottle for the duration of your stay.

Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. Staff are very welcoming, accommodating and very helpful with local tourism. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and bring a classic Venetian atmosphere with some of the most beautiful architecture and antique furniture to be appreciated. It is located in a large plaza with many wonderful restaurants and attractions a short walk away. The hotel is very quiet, making downtime and sleeping very peaceful.
My only regret was not including breakfast in my booking as everything was delicately prepared in the morning with fresh fruit, muffins, pancakes, and everything of everything category which also accommodated to those with allergens.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!

The room that I booked (#5 on the 3rd floor) had a short bed. I am not a super tall person (188 cm/6.2 in), but I couldn't fit into it. My legs were tight against the non removable table that was located in front of the bed. So I asked if I can switch the room. The staff made it clear that this switch will be free of charge and I agreed to change the room. The new room was perfect at the first glance (#12 on the 5th floor) but only till I heard the strange loud noise for the first time. The problem is that in the same room is located an entrance to the elevator maintenance room. There is located an elevator engine and this room is separated from my room with the decorative glass. And as you can imagine, the engine makes pretty loud noise that even walls can't absorb, not to mention the thin mirror. I found it extremely inadequate to invite guests to such a place and pretend that it's okay. Literally, the host at the reception gave me a surprised look and said that no guest has ever complained about it. You can imagine that this sound is there during all day till the late night, until the last guest goes to sleep as all of them are using elevator. So my nights and mornings were terrible. I immediately asked to switch my room back, but that was possible only after two days. It's better to sleep crouched rather than not sleep at all. On top of that, during the check out I was additionally charged with 101 US dollars. Bravo! PS: Poor Wi Fi on the 5th floor, windows are not soundproofed.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Do not be mistaken, the rooms are indeed small but personally I found them to be nicely arranged and clean.
A couple of highlights for us were: 1) the location. Although is at close distance from Rialto Bride or San Marco, the hotel is strategically located in a calm and quiet square. And 2) the level of service: from the moment we arrived until we left... simply outstanding.

Amazing, simply amazing ...The rooms, the bathroom so tidy and clean every day. When i saw the room...WOOOOOW!! Need to check in google for the rooms ;)the staff always there for you. I just ask for breakfast, and is well served. The staff always ready for a refill. Enjoy

Very pleasant. We had a 3 day break in Venice. The hotel was ideally situated to explore and within walking distance of San Marco and The Rialto bridge. It is what you pay for budget hotel. But clean friendly and the manager was willing to please. If you want plush and luxurious then this is not the place. If you want something clean friendly and not expensive and a base to sleep and explore then I would highly recommend it. Thank you Hotel San Stafano, for a pleasant stay.
