FCC Angkor by Avani Hotel

Best hotel for a short stay in Siem Reap to relax and unwind.

Excellent location and good service by the staff.

Will return again...

The hotel is brilliant! Everything feels organic and minimalistic but beautiful at the same time. The food is great and the bar is very creative

Stayed for 10 days at this hotel and never got bored of the room and food. Breakfast is very decent. It’s “all you can eat” but served in a menu—we can order more if we want.
We’re given chocolate “candy” every night which I loved.

Amazing food, fantastic service, perfect location. But the room is a bit odd.

We stayed at FCC for 6 nights. Everything is luxurious, from the airport pickup which the car has its own wifi, the all the warm towels, popsicles, and chocolates you keep getting to refresh yourself.

The service is so warm and welcoming. We had to leave early for a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat, so they woke us up at 4am in case we overslept and packed us a hearty breakfast to go (which is really handy because you can’t trust the hygiene of local food stalls at 5 in the morning).

All the other breakfasts were good too. We have always preferred an unlimited alacart menu over a breakfast buffet. Hot and nicely presented dishes.

The location is walkable or a dollar tuktuk away from town center (pub street, etc)

The room is a bit odd. We got a courtyard room. Which extremely lack privacy as it has a floor to ceiling window opening out to the public hallway and courtyard. Which means you will always have to close the curtain unless you want everyone to see in your room. After I pointed out the problem, the staff kindly upgraded us to the premier room with private balcony, which was much better.

Good cocktails. Good prices with happy hour.

A good budget hotel to organize a productive retreat with lots of facilities such as, fitness, pool, workshop room, breakfast, yoga, and follow by fantastic bar. And I do love the private villa which is great for a whole team to stay privately but in the same building. Been there 2 times and never got any disappointed.

For FCC Angkor by Avani, I would give 5 stars across all categories. The room service is excellent, and the staff are incredibly helpful, ensuring that guests are happy and relaxed throughout their stay. The breakfast buffet is diverse, offering both Asian and Western options. The location is strategic, conveniently close to Pub Street for those looking to enjoy the nightlife.

Regarding the room, it was generally satisfactory. However, the toilet lacked privacy, which was a bit uncomfortable as I was sharing the room with a colleague, but if you come with your family or partner, that’s fine. The bed and pillows, while soft, were perhaps too soft, becoming flat and potentially causing neck discomfort for the pillows.

Despite these minor issues, FCC Angkor by Avani is highly recommended. It’s one of the most unique hotels I’ve stayed at in Siem Reap, with the added bonus of gym access. Plus, their complimentary chocolate is a delightful touch!

Amazing! We had a long stay (3 weeks) and it was beautiful throughout the entire stay! Staff were above and beyond helpful and friendly. They made our stay so much more enriching as the staff made time to talk to us and answer all our questions about their culture, foods and activities. Breakfast was so delicious Western and Asian (not a buffet which I loved as food is not wasted). Service was efficient and catered to food restrictions (no gluten or dairy). English was never an issue as all the staff spoke it well even the cleaning staff. We enjoyed the pool exercise room, spa (outstanding) and restaurant.

So relaxing, staff quitely working to make our stay perfect. Pool wonderful. Hotel environmet very open air, nice feel to it. Architecture tasteful, rooms tasteful.
