Hotel AMI Budva Petrovac

This hotel can not be consider as a 5 stars as the first objective of an hotel is to be able to sleep! And you are not able in this hotel!
You pay the expensive room to have the sea view but it come with the singer just below your window with loud music until late! You call the reception but they do not care! This is director decision… this is the answer you got! Unacceptable!

We stayed at the hotel this summer with our son, we were refused an additional keycard even though we were a family of 3, I have never encountered this issue with any other 5 star hotel in the past. Just like many other reviews of the hotel have said the English of the staff is extremely poor, for a hotel of this standard. The beds within the relatively small rooms are arranged in an extremely odd fashion, the second bed (couch bed) is placed at the foot of the main bed, it is not particularly comfortable and my son's spine hurt after the 3rd night. The buffet selection isn't quantitive nor qualitative, food is commonly stale, cold or dry, restaurant staff usually just stands around talking and laughing with each other rather than helping out guest (while you wave them down with a hand), one specific memory of staff is commonly rude and arrogant, I was yelled at and chased behind by him in front of the whole reception for bringing a single opened coke from a local shop. When my son bought medicine for himself from the pharmacy he was stopped by a member of the staff and his bag was searched, that is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel which considers itself to be worthy of a 5 star rating. The room service either skips the room entirely (even though the "please service room" tag was hung out on the door) or manages to find the worst times of the day to clean the room or forgets to restock the tea, coffee, cups and glasses which were left dirty and not exchanged for several days during our one week stay. The hotel doesn't have adequate sports facilities (i.e. tennis courts or similar) except for a mediocre gym, pools aren't large and no small entertainment area featuring table games such as ping pong, snooker or foosball tables can be found at the hotel. The minibar in our room had several canned snacks such as chips and nuts which were opened and eaten but put back inside, upon noticing I attempted to explain the situation to the room service but they simply left it in there, the fridge barely kept anything cold and wasn't able to store medications at a reasonable temperature. The towels weren't exchanged even tho we put them on the floor to make it obvious, instead they were just hung back on the dryer (you could still see the stains from leftover makeup as proof of them not being exchanged) we had to go to the reception and wait an hour for room service to come and bring new ones. The walls and ceilings aren't particularly thick you can hear most things that neighbours above you do all night long. The hotel doesn't provide customers with additional comfort that I'd usually encounter at a hotel of this standard, we had a flight back in the evening (90% of hotels we have stayed at provide us with late checkout or at least a smaller replacement room for a few hours on our final day) apparently that was too much to ask from AMI Budva, late checkout requires additional charges (even though we saw several empty rooms all over the hotel on our last day). The staff in the parking garage were rude and yelled at us even though we put the required information on the dashboard. The hotel is located in a rundown area, many unfinished constructions with narrow dirty streets, no shopping malls nearby, transport is very limited, rent a car if you plan on seeing more of the area.
