Reviews
Check-in at 3 pm is too late. Missing kettle in the rooms and no kids playground, which both are strange.
The room are dated and have so many issues we have to move around in the bathroom with all drainage water coming out of the bathroom
The bathtub is just a showpiece which cannot be used as the water does not stay in the tub and goes out straight through the drain
Lights did not work
They did not even keep a blanket for us to sleep with in the night upon asking for a blanket they gave us one and expected us who are on vacation make our own bed
Upon talking to reception staff who are VERY VERY RUDE they are like what can we do it’s not our problem and they think they own us and we work for them
Is that the type of response expected from a resort which claims to be there since 1937 with over 300 rooms ?
Apart the location of the resort the experience of staying here is really HORRIBLE and I would recommend that any traveller should look at better alternatives next door
Everything fall apart with the rudeness of staff, there is ZERO sense of service and you are treated as unwanted house guests. This is most appropriately highlighted with an encounter we had with “Ivan” who mans the spa desk. There is a water fountain and I tried to fill my bottle there. This is supposedly against the rules. He told me off, and when I challenged it, he was enraged and pushed the water bottle out of my hands.
He is nothing short of a thug. The hotel manager didn’t really care about what happened either and was in effect a thug as well. I have never been treated so terribly in a hotel before. This is completely unacceptable. As an aside, my friend who was also at the hotel was told off by the same guy for moving her sun bed / was blocking the path. He was so aggressive and rude that she ended up crying!!
Another issue was the room cleaning staff - they didn’t seem to understand the concept of “do not disturb”, and on two occasions walked in when the sign was up. She once walked in on my wife when she was in the bathroom (on the pot!!), and decided to fold some towels casually as if this was completely normal behaviour.
No iron or kettle in room, and apparently you’re not allowed to iron in your room and must use their services.
Staff are a mixed bunch. Some okay, others rude and no interest in being there by the looks of it.
Everything fell apart with the rudeness of the staff, who displayed zero sense of service and treated us like unwanted house guests. This was most evident in an encounter with "Ivan" at the spa desk. He behaved like a thug, and the hotel manager was equally indifferent and unhelpful. I have never been treated so terribly in a hotel before. This is completely unacceptable. As an aside, my friend had a similar encounter with Ivan. He aggressively reprimanded her for moving her sun bed, reducing her to tears with his rudeness.
Additionally, the room cleaning staff did not respect the "do not disturb" sign, entering our room on two occasions despite the sign being up. One incident was particularly egregious when a staff member walked in on my wife in the bathroom and proceeded to fold towels as if this were normal behavior.
Overall, the lack of basic room amenities, combined with the unprofessional and aggressive staff, made for a highly unpleasant stay.
